One of the BEST looking Caymans Ive ever seen...Seriously. Mmmmmm baby sweet.
Wow, thanks! I appreciate that
Got 300 miles on the Stage II FSI engine for my 987.1 Cayman S...Total f***ing keeper! Also opted for the comp IPD plenum and GT3 TB added to existing SOUL Performance exhaust and headers. Congrats on your unicorn.
Same setup I went with on my 987 - Stage 2 + Soul Performance header-back exhaust and IPD plenum + GT3 TB. Really curious what the HP gains were...butt dyno says they were significant!
@@jaredtreanor8499 I'll probably never know the HP/TQ figures since I have no intention of ever getting it dyno'd. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if we're pushing close to 400 to the wheels. I have around 6000 miles on the new engine now and it's amazing how much stronger it's gotten after the rings have fully set and everything is broken in. The car feels like it's turbocharged but without any of the lag.
@@jaredtreanor8499how’s everything going i’m really looking into getting one
How much did you pay for the engine?
7:13 I like how it just creeps out from the bushes. But yeah, this is probably the best looking 987 I've ever seen.
Usually don't like cayman mods but this is a work of all. Done so well
Love your ending ❤ keep it up broski
Really nice car,it turns heads for sure
thank you
Those tail lights are clean
eBay at its best
Ebay!
This is amazing!
The larger wing was nice. I like the racing type headlights with the yellow tint flare, that's rare to see. Most people mistake that for old headlights or fading which is funning. But yeah, the black was nice too. I like the wrap as it's unique color as well. nice work.
The wing is hard to see out the back during regular street driving. The yellow headlights I love. And the wrap I wanted because tired of paint chips. The car is fun to drive and a good blend of new and old feeling.
I saw your ad on PCA...beautiful car!
Hey, thanks!
Thanks
Not exactly what I would do but think it's f*cking awesome nevertheless, great car mate 👍
Beautiful car, congratulations!
I'm thinking of doing a Flat 6 Innovations Stage 2 rebuild for my 05 Boxster S...Thanks for posting this, your car looks and sounds amazing. The reaction from your son at the end was priceless! My son is always asking me when I'm going to fix my Boxster and I'm hoping for a similar reaction from him someday :)
Yea man. It’s a joy. Boxster and cayman are the best mix of fun cars with enough power
Don't think for too long. The waiting list continues to grow with a current wait time of around 2 years.
Beautiful!
YES please post a ton more! Follow my 987.1 build too!
Looks tasty...wise money...well spent hey! ✨
Yes indeed!
great build
Lol I see you’re driving around the Middleburg/Black Creek area. Love the car! I live in Green Cove and just bought a 2006 Cayman S
Yes sir. Let’s meet up sometime
Incredible build! 👍
Florida Crown Region member of PCA?
what exacty was done on the build ? 365HP is impressive
Awesome!!
sleeves?
Nice whip! Need to mod my gen2 a little :)
Go for it!
Nice! ❤
Your gearchange looks fabulous. How did you get it that good?
Glad i found this ive been thinking about buying a 987 and doing to flat 6 innovations rebuild. About how much was the DIY rebuild?
I just leave it to the pros
Where is that wide body from?? Anybody know??
i dyno 269whp on dynojet back in 2015 on my stock 987.1 S 6MT, 292whp is no where near 365hp at crank, it`s more like 320 hp at crank
Great video. Love it! What are the performance numbers? 0-60, top speed?
Don't know the 0-60, just its fun to drive. Especially when people grab the door handles when slinging them in the corner.
Great vid! What exhaust did you use?
Custom built exhaust in Jacksonville Florida from Pulse Racing - Terry O'Brian
Were your bumper lights included with the bumper?
Yes. When I got from Getty Design
Where did you get the motor work done at? I have an 07 and I want to get a bit more out of it and freshen it up some.
I dont understand, even with tuning, race headers, GT3 throttle body and etc, all it got on the dyno was 291 at the crank? How so? These cars arent supposed to lose that much hp over time
No it’s wheel hp u saw
where can i find the rear bumper without the bumperette?
I saw one modified long time ago. Not sure where to buy one
tell me more about where you found those cayman r door pull loops.
Local guy here in Florida. I believe they can be found on various sites now
I didn’t catch the price for the engine build ?
Can't post on here, my wife will kill me
I'm single so no need for me to worry about the wife... $27,000 for me, just engine
Where did you get the side intakes?
How many months and years did this take? It was worth it lol
It was a couple of years to get it together.
Love the car
@@chrismoore904 I’d love to see it out on the road when I’m out and about in my 987 or 718. Big thumbs up 👍
Do you have the offsets for the fitment with the Getty flares? How did you attach the rear flares without showing the mount rivett spots?
My body shop did a kickbutt job. I can't explain what they did, just requested them to make it look nice.
@@chrismoore904 okay! Thx
Where did you get the side vents from
Ebay. search cayman turbo vents
Where did you get the wing from
Guy off of Facebook that does parts out in California. Very similar to Getty Design stuff
To each their own. Not exactly a cayman for me
After all that money spent, why not just buy a 911?
Like mid engine. And it’s fun to build a project.
@@chrismoore904 Cool
What’s the engine size
3.8 up from 3.4
