His mother is a famous operatic vocalist. His father is a famous pop vocalist. He has been in classical vocal training since age of 5. He is university trained as a vocalist, sings in twelve languages and having completed a masters in classical vocal performance, masters classes in broadway performance and if he hasn't already completed it was working to complete a secondary masters in composition. He is God gifted as a vocalist but we must not forget that a small tribe of professionals has been shaping all of that technical ability for decades and he is probably the most receptive student they have ever met. The respect they have all shown each other through all that training is what we are being blessed with now. Thank God we get to be the audience!!!!!

Out of the distant country of Kazakhstan comes, Dimash Kudaibergen, a man blessed with an astonishing plethora of vocal gifts, strongly influenced by the nurturing of his family who saw, at an early age, the tremendous innate talent within their beloved son. We can all be grateful for their discernment. He is a true prodigy in every sense of the word who is so passionate about his calling and the continued development of his insane vocal abilities. He is unquestionably the powerhouse of music and the master of his domain!
Dimash's hard work, dedication to his craft, God-given natural abilities, and technical know-how have created a formidable stage presence that is both electrifying and intimately personal. He truly connects with his audiences, creating an intensely individualized experience that can bring one to tears in witnessing and experiencing his unbelievable vocal genius. His high caliber of entertainment and authenticity is completely off the charts! It is like watching art that has been liberated from the cruel shackles of mediocrity and that has finally been given a voice, thus freeing the unruly spirit of creativity and letting it soar to new heights. This becomes a glorious showcase that is both soothing in its melodious beauty and awesome in both its richness and depth. It is a stunning experience that is deeply personal and that evokes emotions for which words alone do not have the capacity to adequately describe it. His vocal artistry comes neatly wrapped up as a total, comprehensive package, delighting audiences worldwide and leaving nothing to regret.
Dimash is the master of execution. He chooses an incredible variety of vocal styles and blends them together so meticulously so that the end product is both eclectic and electric. The colors of his musical palette are astonishing! His perfect delivery of sonic beauty is absolutely amazing. He personifies perfection. To borrow a slightly altered quote from the legendary WWE Wrestling Champion, Bret "The Hitman" Hart: "He's the best there is. The best there was and the best there ever will be."
Dimash has the incredible ability to unabashedly transcend cultures, ages, sexes, languages, religions or lack thereof, ethnicities, musical genres, ideologies, and national borders. The widespread impact of his uplifting singing goes directly to one's soul where it delivers its powerful and life-changing payload. This frequently blows people away and feeds and nourishes the listener's appetite for vocal excellence. It doesn't matter if one doesn't understand the language. The incredible beauty and lasting impact of his musical artistry can be readily appreciated and understood by his multiple levels of delivery. This is seamlessly accomplished at such an intimate level. It is no wonder that Kazakhstan, his home and native land, regards him as a national treasure. He is one indeed!
Watching Dimash's well-crafted videos is like seeing the perfect convergence of visuality, auditory, and sublimity. It is a uniquely sensual experience that leaves one wanting so much more. This highly addictive in a good way. Once tasting the tantalizing ambrosia of his stunning performance, the listener is instantly and irrevocably hooked. Dimash's dazzling showmanship is overwhelmingly beautiful and purposeful. He creates both a deeply personal connection and elicits subtle communication with his audience. He bridges the gap between the performer and his audience. This is profound on so many levels.
Thankfully, Dimash is still young. His impressive vocal prowess and bravery can see him venture into new territories where angels fear to tread. He is the consummate acoustic explorer, fearlessly seeking to go where no singer has gone before. He definitely has the capacity and will to continue to evolve into something unheard of without reservation or hesitation. I am looking forward to that.
What I really do like about Dimash is that he has not retreated from his humbleness as a result of his skyrocketing fame. A lot of people have become divas in the ugliest sense of the word in spite of their fleeting notoriety. They have become drunk and abusive with fame. They have failed miserably to put in check their growing self-importance and unbridled egos. These negative traits have become malignant, which eventually consumed and utterly destroyed their careers. They became wretched, obsessively dwelling on their past glory. Thankfully, this has not happened to him. He has remained a steadfastly down-to-earth person, anchored in his roots I give him props for being so well-grounded in this age of shallowness. Further success, in his case, comes with sobriety and focus.
I do sincerely hope that one day in the near future, I'll be seeing this accomplished performer live at a concert. It will be an absolutely awesome experience. This is something that I definitely will add to my bucket list!
Tara, thanks for evaluating Dimash's performance. It is so insightful and opens up a world of wonder for me!

Who wouldn’t love that? And when I see Tara reacting to Dimash that gets an auto-like from me😄!

Dimash, he is really noble, honorable, generous, respectful, well-mannered, pure soul man. He is just perfect, but what he is saying about people "This is not important what you achieve and what position do you have in the life, the most important, what heart do you have, and what way do you live and what do you do to help people". He helps young children to develop their talents, donates some money for it. In the show World's best in America, He quitted the show in the finale, just because he could not afford to compete with children, and he gave to move forward children. He has not a drop of arrogance, as much as he is talented, so kind and handsome in his soul.

I looove vocal coach reactions, they are so educational. Very interesting what you said about "glottal attacks", it's the very same thing Ken Tamplin said in his review of Dimash's Diva Dance performance (just that there weren't glottal attacks in that song - he said that Dimash throws in quick h's before the vowal sounds, in order to keep the throat open and not to slam the vocal folds)
You, Ken Tamplin and Sam Johnson are, by far, my favorite vocal coaches! :) Your videos are always so instructive! :)
(Ken has also been dimashified! XD Dimash is the only vocalist he has ever done an analysis series on and he even calls him "the best singer in the world (with respect to technique)". We are so happy for D that he finally starts to get recognition in the West. Thank you so much, Tara! We love you

That is exactly why I love Dimash so much.
Someone who is so extremely proficient technically, generally has a tendency to be "perfect" in EXECUTION, but they invariably fall short in charisma, because they are overwhelmed by an inherent fear of making mistakes.
Dimash is FEARLESS. He doesn't even think about whether he is gonna get them those notes.
His focus is on CONVEYING and COMMUNICATION. And his extreme vocal capabilities are all but little tools he utilises at his will and desire to....REALLY....perform.
I love Dimash because he doesn't just blow my mind with his voice, but with his HEART.

I would definitely recommend Unforgettable Day in Gakku too. Not just because of the unbelievable D8 whistle but because the song his own composition and shows his abilities as a composer. He wrote the song when he was just 19. I would really like to hear your professional opinion to it.

As a language teacher, and learner myself, I appreciate your explanation of the glottal stop when beginning a vowel sound, versus adding a silent 'h' to prevent that. I know you're referring to singing, but that has helped me understand how to pronounce words in other languages that use glottal stops as a phoneme for meaning. So thank you for that.
And Dimash--well, there are no words to describe how beautifully he sings.

A couple of years ago Dimash said: "My intention is to take people to another world with my singing, to distract them from the daily routine and to show them an imaginary world that I've created for them to be happy" Dimash Qudaibergen also said these following words at the young age of 12: "I think that art is a sort of image that shows how deep a person's inner world is, it is spiritual richness" ...

Never, ever did I expect a singer to emerge who could eclipse even the great Pavarotti. You are right -- this is not a human being. This is a true freak of nature, if not super-nature. If you are listening to Pavarotti, or Sutherland, or Domingo, or Price, you can at least dream of doing the same thing. But this -- This is an achievement beyond human reach.
I have one concern: How long is this young man going to be able to do this? How long can those cords take that kind of punishment? Enrico Caruso and Mario Lanza, not to mention others, eventually had meltdowns and died. The first tenor who sang Tristan and Isolde broke down and died at the end of four performances. How long does Dimash have?
