I'm certain I know everything about attributes and I wouldn't be arsed watching a video just in case I got a small bit of extra info usually. But he makes it funny so I just watch them whenever I'm bored

    You never stop learning about this game! I've been playing since CM 99-00 so 20 years!
    I recently took things right back to basics after a 13 season save with Forest Green & watched a lot of your videos. Sure most things weren't new but alongside that is a separate thought process or way of looking at things that changes the perspective. I'd forgotten about some things, like placing a job advert! Also some things were new so...yeah, in summary...great videos!

    Quality content every time. The game is far from simple, but you sir, are helping a lot! :) Most of the things you are explaining have been explored by most of the people playing the game, but the explanation is super valuable. Everybody has doubts here and there and when someone like you confirms the use/meaning/purpose of something - lesson learnt, case closed.

    Bravery is one of the most important attributes in the game for anyone who you need to put in a tackle. I cannot tell you how many players I've transferred out that were worldies but had 5 bravery. If you have 20 tackle, 20 positionings, and 20 work rate, but you have 5 bravery, that means that you'll always be in a position to put in a challenge, but you almost never will. I'd rather have a player with 5 tackle, 5 positionings, and 5 anticipation with 20 bravery. He'll pick up a crap ton of fouls, but I'll always trust that he'll at least try. He'll block shots, he'll jump with bigger guys. He'll dive for the breakaway tackle. Especially at lower leagues, the try is always more important than anything else. This is why I always prioritize work rate bravery and determination in mentals. Because these are the guys that when my RB two foots a guy and we're 2 goals down and we need a draw to win the title are going to put in a shift.

    • @franciscomarcelino1251
      @franciscomarcelino1251 5 лет назад +3

      20 bravery increases the chance of getting injured tho
      And when that happens it will usually drop by 3 - 4 bravery points. But it's without a doubt, a very important atribute. Maybe around 13 - 14 bravery its the sweet spot, enought to challenge the ball, but not high enough to be reckless.

    • @franciscomarcelino1251
      @franciscomarcelino1251 5 лет назад +1

      @@anon8510 if a player is able to have 20 bravery, and somehow manages to avoid getting injured, it's amazing. Better than 13 - 14.
      But the chance of an injury because he decided to challenge the wrong play its way too high.
      Personally, i prefer having a more carefull player (12 / 15), who is healthy more often, than a brave player who can injure himself easily.

    • @maciejkornatowski3026
      @maciejkornatowski3026 5 лет назад +2

      Determination and work rate, yeah I agree. Bravery? Too low is bad, but there's no reason go to for 20. Aggression is really important because even with 20 bravery your RB won't do shit with 1 aggression.

    • @targetthyself
      @targetthyself 5 лет назад

      @@maciejkornatowski3026 Aggression is a bad stat, it dictates the ferocity of the challenge, and increases the likelihood that they will argue with officials, you want 10 aggression with strong concentration, but you never want high aggression, especially if they have a high controversy rate, or the dreaded "has a competitive streak" in their report. This means in the big games, he's getting himself sent off 100%.

    • @windar2390
      @windar2390 5 лет назад

    The video I've been waiting for! Thanks for the content man. One question (that may get answered in the tactics video): when youre managing lower league teams, do you get players that are as high as possible in their primary attributes but everything else is pretty weak, or do you go for the highest average all around? Sometimes it seems picking a player with high primary attributes are never reccomended to be signed after I scout

    • @Teiwaz111

      In my experience the lower the league, the more focus you should put on physicals (especially Speed = Acceleration & Pace).
      Basically Physicals > Mentals > Technicals. Look at it like this:
      If your body's not made for it, all your mentals and techniques don't matter. You're the worlds best dribbler? I don't care if your strength & balance is low - Hulk smash puny god.
      You're the worlds best dribbler? Well, that's nice for you - but I don't care if you only get it done when you're alone on the pitch (= low mentals).
      Technique's all about the quality and outcome of your actions - which doesn't really matter if you just can't to your action.

The game used to show the number to one decimal point in the development "spaghetti" graph lines, but on the player profile page, it has always just been a whole number. A player with 15.4 dribbling is 4% better (on a 1-20 scale) than a player with 14.6 dribbling, but both will just say 15!

      @@ZealandonYT This one confuses me too in your video. As I understand it, important attributes for the role are highlighted in grey and usefull atributes are highlighted in blue. Also the numbers for the attributes are colorcoded: grey (1-5), white (6-10), yellow (11-15), green (16+). Of course, players 'choose' roles that they are good at, so the important attributes of their preferred roles usually have green values. Saying thet the important attributes are highlighted in green however, suggests that the UI chooses the color of the numbers, based on the role. I don't think that's true.
