Best way to get a golden generation is to play in a such a shit awful club that every player that comes in has potential far higher than whatever dross you got. The potential ability is scaled on your own team after all.
But not on your current players potential.
Doesnt make sense, i went to 9th tier football and i was checking with hidden attributes first time i got someone tht had potential over 100 was in the first league. 9 years i got shit as fuck regens.
It depends on youth recruitment and junior coaching, and the reputation od the club

tom, to get a golden gen you need to win the league with 5 or more youth players you have produced, the more youth you play the better youth you produce. i know what im talking about . i played fm since 99 and i always do youth. in one of the fm's i think fm 12 i was with truro and i produced the worlds best played in league 2 along with 5 others with premier league potential . that generation went on to go to premier league and win it all. you don't need the best facility's or anything you just need to not sing players and promote players. once you start singing players the chances of getting good youth go down big time. if you have fm21 there's a russian team where you can only play with youth you produce. many people have gone all the way to winning champs league with them
@@numchacar this just proves youth is overpowered as it pretty much has always been, but not the circumstances in which better youth are brought in.
I like getting all excited when I get 2x 5* potential wonderkids, then giving them as much game-time as possible to help them develop quicker, only for them to fall to 3* potential within 2 years.
Sounds like you don't know how to improve wonderkids.

@@epmcgee as someone who is terrible at training wonderkids. How do you do it. Tactics, scouting etc I’m fine with. Just never get my players to reach there potential
@@leeds7892 basically you NEVER train them for roles, and until they are at least 22-23 you should NEVER play them too far outside of their natural position. But then again, you can play your DM wonderkid as mezzala, and it's likely going to be all fine, but if you're playing your wonderkid ST as winger - it's gonna drain their PA
@@beginendend3094 so do i just train them as a playing position? i'm new but it looks like that just doesn't improve them anywhere
7:35 - Actually Scouting Knowledge is important - someone tested it and the results were that if your HoYD is a foreigner with small to zero knowledge of a country he's working in, he'll produce less good intake than a guy with identical stats but based in the same country as your club. I.e. if your Head of YD is English working in e.g. Spain he will do worse than in England.

Don't forget that your HoYD also coaches the u18s, so make sure they're good in one of att/def/fit/men and one of tac/tec! It's a freebie! Never rule out DDM either.
In my latest save I started in the 2nd Serbian division and as I got promoted and grew each year I sacked my HOYD and got a new one every year, and 4 years running I had an excellent intake. I think there's something coded into the game that gives a good intake on their first season.
You forgot the affiliates clubs , for example I am with FCSM in France ( sochaux) and I have affiliates clubs in luxembourg, Australia and Portugal and now I have some players from those countries yearly in my youth intake
Giving young players lot's of playing time helps a LOT too.
When I was in the fourth tier with Kettering, I got a RWB with potential ability 193. He was a regular starter every season since then, contributing to promotion every year, gaining around 20-30 current ability every season which made him a superstar level player in every league he played in.
I'm still chasing that high/lottery win.

Also for your HoYD they will bring in players for their preferred tactic so if you play a 4-4-2 and his tactic is a 4-3-2-1 you might get wingers ( in fact YOU WILL get wingers cause every intake has wingers ) that you don't need
There's some convertability with the wingers and DMCs as a 4-4-2 also utilizes wingers unless it's the 4-4-2 Diamond/Vertical which uses a AMC and DMC instead of wingers. The problem would be more with a 4-2-3-1 where you'd be getting AMCs instead of 2nd strikers or wingers instead of a DMC and 2nd striker.
Scouting leagues is important too. I add every league and organizations for myscout list and get 6 five star player. Next year i didnt do it and get 0. its increase your luck significantly but your game will be slow.
We all have our favourite nations to sign young players from, and having staff with scouting knowledge in these nations help them come through your intake
For me it is Czech Republic. I always find an amazing wonderkid coming from their youth academies. Followed by Spain because their youngsters have delease clauses.
@@WERTYUIO821 You should have a look in Austria. Being Scandinavian, I usually try to build the Nordic countries (Not you Denmark) up a bit. It's also fun to find a more obscure country to get a few youngsters from, like Singapore or Trinidad & Tobago and just end up having their entire national teams in your reserves
Hi Tom. I wonder if it would make any difference by using the in game editor to change your clubs reputation to max before youth intake day. Having the same save, but one keeping the same reputation, vs the max reputation changing just before intake day.
Would be interesting to see if that has any effect on it.

ユースコーチングはFM2022辺りまでクラブの成績がいいとユースリクルートと違い比較的簡単に通っていましたが、FM2023だとそうもいきません。
ユースリクルートの方が簡単に要求を飲むようになっている。悲しい事です…
You still need win the league and european competition. Reputation is important thing too as mentioned in the video.
It also depends on club and league where it's club plays. As example Trencin from Slovakia. Mediocre team in mediocre league but with very good facilities. Not Brommopojkarna level but for this level it's good and for first seasons it's golden generation after GG. Yes. Some are mutants with bad placing skills or with bad mentality. But still.

Formation doesn't matter. If one uses the same formation every year just cause it works, then he's a bot. Football is about making a change, re inventing way to play. So a player shoulf be able to be versatile and effective in multiple roles and positions

I remember when I recruited a young midfielder centre from Portugal. He has a PA of 147. So he's not having 5 star potential. I decided to train his new position as a winger and try to improve his ability at some attribute. It takes so long to get him at full of his potential. Until he's 21 I decided to play him regularly as a winger. And he turned into prime Mo Salah. He bag 31 goals on the league on his second season. Eliminate my first choice winger which has full 178 PA to the bench lol. This guy is a regen, his name is Kalbermarten. Probably he is one of my best regen (not wonder kid) of all my entire FM game.

The scouting knowledge of the staff doesnt play a role. I did an experiment where i gave every single member of my staff knowledge of Nigeria. In 100 intakes I had 0 nigerian players.

The option to improve youth facilities has vanished from my board requests, and I haven't been able to upgrade them for a few years. Do you have any idea why the option is gone?
Might be maxed out. Also if you have already asked for something to be done like the stadium being renovated you might not be able to request, idk if it’s like that on PC
we already know oyu need good head of youth good youth recruitment and good reputaiton on head of youth but theres lots of other factors like club reputaiton and personality ALSO DONT PLAY FM23 WITHOUT DAVINCIDS MODS AND NIK33 MODS way betetr game
Tons of media propaganda against Ronaldo, he saw how poor the United's squads mentality was and wanted to leave.
I don't blame him at all. He hates losing but he hates working with players who can't take criticism which is his strongest trait.
Working with Youngsters, Judging CA and PA have NO effect on the quality.

Youth facilities and recruitment capped at 16 and 19 for me. Is there a reason why?
You cannot reach 20 in recruitment
sometimes your clubs needs to have enough money for it to unlock in the board meeting

golden gen is not a lottery all you need to do is win the league with 5 or 6 players you have produced and next season you unlock it ;)

You are right that it is a lottery. My Middlesbrough team are the best in the world with top everything for youth. It is ranked as number one in the world but I cannot get a single wonderkid. It is beyond frustrating.
