I recently bought a 2017 KTM 390 Duke - after a week it died. It had one of those Coober intake mods - well that closed-cell foam filter came loose and got sucked down into the throttle body which explains the P2111 code. I used a cable extractor tool to pull out the wad of foam and the bike worked after that. I'm getting rid of that Coober crap and restoring the the factory cover plate. Besides, without a piggy back ECU, you're giving extra air, without extra fuel, so it will run lean and harm the engine.
l live and ride only on a twisty mountain road. Also a 2018, full cat/ pre-muffler delete( 14 lbs)- it is louder than I'd like but not enough for that cast iron teapo t, w/ stock silencer, removed passenger bracket/pegs. Rapidbike Evo, seat cowl, Woodcraft clip-ons, Andreani Fork Cartridges, Olins shocks, adjustable pegs, Michelin Power Cup Evo tires w/ warmers.
I have changed my mirrors. The windshieled is the same but transparent yellow..I wanted a clear one but not available. Plus tiny crash bars which are unobtrusive and good looking
Dude apart from weight reduction with full system , air intake and piggy bank ecu , I've seen people say they got increase in gains like 55 hp and 49 nm torque and an extra 1000 rpm unlocked just so you could rev a lil extra. And I'm not so sure, just saying what I've heard :)
Great product placement video. I've been wondering and had to ask, doesn't the bar end mirrors get in the way when braking or using the clutch? Does your hands ever hit the mirrors???
Just picked ap a used 2017 duke and it has the comp werks mini cat and premuffler delete aswell as the comp werks slip on and I'll tell you it's super loud. Definitely do the mini cat and slip on first. Unless I get my hands on a stock pre muffler I'm stuck with the loud pipes.
which map returns better mileage ? I have installed it on my duke 200 PLanning to use one map for city use/mileage and second map for top end/highway Running on the maps provided by powertronics
@@MotoMedicine904 Okay one more thing Duke 200 lacks initial punch that's under 4500 rpm and there are no changes made on Powertronics map under 4500..So anyways to reduce the jerks and sluggish performance under 4500 rpm?

Hi I just bought a used 2017 came with tail tidy and same exhaust you damaged. I like it so far, just turned 5k miles. Mine has a pretty loud engine tick, I thought it was valves needed adjusting but I've been hearing that it's more likely the cam chain. Do you know anything about that? and does anyone make a manual cam chain adjuster for it?
These engines are noisy by nature as well. You may be hearing injector tick as well, which is normal. As long as it doesn't sound like a bucket of bolts rattling around, you should be fine.
I'm 6'4 220 lbs and I'd like to take my gf on this bike with me she's 5'7 150 lbs will this bike be able to carry us both ? It will be city riding / suburb riding no more than 60 mph
When u say "to be honest with you" it makes me think if you dont say it first its not the truth haha. Just teasing. How much HP extra did u gain from the mods? Thanks.
I just wish there was something that could be done to make the Duke look better. I mean it just looks terrible all the way around. Adding that windscreen really doesn't make it look any worse than it already does LOL
Links to most all of the parts have been listed in the description!

Excellent narration skills!
Good job, the first thing I too, had to do was to install a PowerTronic, the thing was so jerky at low rev

Good video. Thanks for the links to products.
Thanks for the video! I like that engine slider guard. Looks cool. Is there a video showing the install?
Yes, and I have put YSS fully adjustable rear suspension
Nice mods! 👍🏽
Shovell head. I can not unsee it now!
Those indicators are gigantic
I Love K&N Filters!
one of the first things i did was remove the passenger pegs, so clean... :-P
I'm leaving them in case of the rare event that I get lucky. ;)
Ive got an old lady... I cant ditch mine..😞 😄

I too have small unobtrusive crash bars and a yellow windscreen..couldn't get a clear one which is what I wanted
Did you notice a big power difference with the powertronic unit?
your power mods, the ECU , pipe, air intake..what or how much of a difference did it make, and have you Dyno'd the bike before and after?

Thus the Mimi cat delete helps to do pops and bags?
I've installed the same cat delete and a leo vince slip on all running of stock ecu. Will that affect my bike's engine life long term ?

Never had an issue with them getting in the way.

You can find them on ebay for pretty cheap. Just take a look around.
Could you send me a video or audio clip, I’m curious😂
Hi! Great video!
Where can I find the engine slider?
Thanks for the answer!
The ones around the engine cases came from Aliexpress. They're hard to find
Looks like you drilled out the baffle..
which map returns better mileage ?
I have installed it on my duke 200
PLanning to use one map for city use/mileage and second map for top end/highway
Running on the maps provided by powertronics
You're not going to notice much of a measurable difference in MPG between the 2 maps.

@@MohammadHamza take it to a place who can professionally tune it on a dyno.
Hey bro, where did you get the orange fairings from?
They’re factory. They just didn’t have any decals on them at the time
Any ecu for the 2016 😢

The handlebar is lighter and stronger. Has less rake towards the rider and makes inputs for steering sharper and more responsive.

hey motomed,
what rear tires re you using on ur bike?
Dunlop GPR 300
@@MotoMedicine904 thanks
What map are you using for your powertronic with these mods?
A custom dyno tune file.

It will do it. Just don't expect it to be a power house. But you're within the weight capacity
@@MotoMedicine904 lol too late just bought a MT 07
Can't argue with that. I want one myself.
When u say "to be honest with you" it makes me think if you dont say it first its not the truth haha. Just teasing. How much HP extra did u gain from the mods? Thanks.
The bike I share that tune with and the exact same mods made 48whp on the dyno. A stock 390 makes about 40whp
Thanks 🏁🏁
Silly question, but what does that coober filter cap do? What are the gains?
Allows extra intake airflow. Without a tune its usless. With a tune it seems to liven up the mid to top end power.

Did you remove your db killer on your stock muffler?
Yep, Theres no DB killer in mine.
@@MotoMedicine904 do you have sound clip of it?
I dont think I have any but its not much different from when I had the Yoshimura on it

Not not really. Its just for sound. If you want power you need an ECU
The only mod worth mentioning is the ktm seat upgrade the rest are just nonsense
top speed?
Where can I get the piggy back is it plugged and play
