"Bass is more of a lead bass" - Agree! And this is a recurring theme with drums and guitar, as Akane on drums, Misa on bass and Kanami on lead are often playing complex lines underneath Saiki's vocals, and switching things up all the time. Band-Maid songs are like one of those paintings that the longer you look at, the more details you see that you didn't notice before.
I appreciate Bandmaid soooo much. They are 100%, pure Hard Rock, nestled in that sweet spot between Rock and Metal. They take that traditional, 80's hard rock sound and make it fresh with modern song structures and tempo changes. I also find that almost all of their songs contain 2, 3, or 4 separate pieces of instrument work that "reminds me of some band i like, but can't name" along with an equal amount of their own great stuff. Love these ladies
I know what you mean. When I was a kid, Van Halen, Led Zepplin, and others were called Metal. Now noone would say they are metal at all. The Metal bar has been moved. But Band-Maid is right where I want them to be!
The short version of this song was the outro of the last chapters of the anime YugiOh (episodes 71 to 96). Its structure, therefore, is somewhat different. Your comments about the type of rock music they compose seem very accurate to me. I understand the concept of "metal before being metal", the music that was developed in the 80s (maybe the 20 years from 75 to 95). This way of composing, on the border of many rock styles in all their songs (and even throughout the same song) is, without a doubt, something completely new and different from what most bands do today. Thanks for coming back with Band Maid.
Missing solos? Be mind-blown by "Onset" Live: www.bilibili.com/video/av36106449/ It's been removed from RUclips, but I see reaction channels have no problems with it. Give it a try, you won't regret it!
This one comes alive even more live, although there aren't many good live recordings of it. One of the best just gives you a taste, hearing that opening riff live for 20 seconds or so, before the video fades out ruclips.net/video/x6iSf73LiQ0/видео.html The rest of it could be worth watching too (if maybe not a reaction) just to see Miku's mid-set MC part, which the rest of the band seem to have a bit of fun with, especially outside Japan

*BAND-MAID is a KALEIDOSCOPE of genres "Touch the Rainbow"* 🌈
Instead of a single solo, you get tons of great riffs and mini solos with both bass and guitar. Band-Maid... always surprises, always awesome.
I love every track I have heard from them. Riffs for days!
Kaname wrote this as an answer to Stone Cold Crazy by Queen, she said. maybe that riff is what you mean .
This song was used in the 4th ED of the anime Yugi-Oh VRains

Yes they have their distinct rock sound and they should never ever change that.
You should react to their song called "Blooming". It's their best song in my opinion. It's insanely good.
No solos on this. This is due to the song was used for an ending outro song for a Japanese anime called "Yu-Ghi-Oh Vrains".

This was a single release with Bubble which is a great song as well. :)
Band-Maid are just awesome! I especially like the breakdown in this song!

Thanks for the link! I will add it to the list most definitely!
M.T.N delivers again."Don't you tell me" live next, please.
Thanks Gary! Appreciate that dude!
Haha there are a few songs which don’t have a guitar solo. They did add in some solos for their live performances recently.
How nice of you to upload this on my birthday last year
This non live version sounds surprisingly good.
This might be the only band in the world with lead bassist
Nope
Alien Ant Farm had a lead bassist theres a few more too but I can't remember their names. Band Maid just do it better!
The late John Entwhistle of "The Who" comes to mind.
Here is "Glory" live with Kanami's solo: ruclips.net/video/aoaFxXrQo1I/видео.html - unedited raw sound from Summer Sonic 2019 festival
Oooooo thank you!
The lack of solos in this song is a perfect way to keep you guessing.
Sorry there's no solo because it was an anime song.
Most of the pro-shot live versions uploaded unofficially have been taken down from RUclips recently. It’d be pretty hard to find them.

Yeay this song is not solo 😀
MISA MISA MISA! such a fantastic song yet this believe it or not is my least fav Band-Maid song.
Sadly no solos. But still great song!
Totally agree!
