I'm pretty sure every vegeta fan snapped after he became Jieren's sandbag at the end of Super. But to be honest, the battle with Toppo was one of the best representations of Saiyan pride!

It's not like writers could really give him any chance at that point: he gave his all against Toppo, he had his moment to shine and removed the second most dangerous enemy in the Tournament of Power alone, but at that point he was completely spent and Jiren was still relatively fresh. You can't give up consistency at that point, he had to fall. Though Jiren understood his pride and made him his punchbag instead of throwing him off right away as a means to break his spirit.

I feel ya, man. Especially after reading all of Super (and still enjoying it), all the way through the Granolah Arc, and only seeing that yet AGAIN. By that point, it was about the 5th time in Super alone we were teased with a near win for Vegeta. I've never needed a win for him, I just enjoy watching/reading about him. But by the end of the Granolah Arc, I discovered I'd changed my stance. I'm tired of the same, dusty pattern for him. It's become annoying. I'm so grateful to you for creating Legend!

I remember years ago I made 2 different comics on Vegeta winning out over Goku and Kid Buu. Because I was so annoyed that this guy never got any wins. Even his honorable fights would be for nothing. Knowing this came from that same place helps me stand with you in Solidarity for redeeming our Boi KING Vegeta.

Vegeta is one of the many characters in the DragonBall franchise that gets disrespected the second he gets in the fight, such as The metal cooler movie, Vegeta saves goku then immediately gets bodied, Vegeta will get his respect one way or another!
And yet you forget he helps Goku beat the bad guy -_- and he's not the damn main character

This was one of my main problems with Dragon Ball. The pattern got old to me real quick.
You know when I found vegeta won in dbs superhero was like YEAAAH but then I realized. IT HAPPENED F**KING OFF SCREEN. I would have rather watch that fight than the entire movie.
Really? A no stakes sparing match in their base forms? You'd prefer that over the entirety of Super Hero? I think the short fight we see as well as the end of it as post credit content was about the perfect amount of time to spend on it. I personally loved the movie but were you not so hot on it?
@@Daxinar it's a hyperbole, I'm quite a fan of the movie for most parts but It's an overexaggeratation too highlight the point of Vegeta constantly getting disrespected and sidetracked as if Toriyama has a personal vendetta against Vegeta

It's heavily implied that, that is Vegeta's first ever victory against Goku and for it to be a no stake match as well as they both holding back and for it to be off screen, such a lackluster fight to be Vegeta First victory, only further heighten my point about the Vegeta disrespect
@@legend1756 My thoughts on this are somewhat complicated, so I'll try to sum it up as best I can. Vegeta is a character who should by all accounts have been dead many times over. And yet, time after time, he scraped through and refused to go quietly into the good night. More than any other character he has outright REFUSED to become irrelevant. The pattern of dragon ball has beaten him down time and time again, never once breaking his spirit. Through that determination he has cemented himself as an absolute dragon ball staple second only to Goku himself. This is so much the case that nearly every dragon ball fan work has shown him beating all kinds of ass as well as acknowledging his vast progression as a character. Now... Having said all that, who do you think is better off? Him or Tienshinhan? The Z fighters in general need more acknowledgement, not just Vegeta. I feel like us Vegeta marks have relatively little to complain about comparatively, though I absolutely empathize with all the feels in this video and this thread.
That would be because Toriyama didn’t like Vegeta, which always struck me as odd because he’s probably his most complex character. But it’s less surprising when you know that Toriyama actually got mad at his animation team for making Goku more complex and just. Yeah. Just let that sink in. The Goku anime-watchers know and love isn’t even the Goku he intended. That’s why in Super he’s back to being borderline remedial, he’s actually more canon. Yeah.
That aside.
It is amazing and inspiring that your love for Vegeta brought you to this point. Do you animate all by yourself or do you have a team?

"He has made example of, time after time". He kinda deserves that tbh, thinking you should be the best as some sort of granted feat and pairing pride with arrogance, self-centrism and utter disrespect for everybody else. He's the kind of guy who needs beatings, making him example is the only actual way to teach something to someone like him. And Super is showing that: the prince is having his rightful evolution as a character, evolution that started in the second half of the Buu saga and that GT failed BIG TIME in bringing forward. Vegeta in Super is how he should be: as prideful as a saiyan can be, but never to the point of underestimating his opponent, and always aware of all the pieces in the chess board and their value, while also learning the Earth way of caring for his loved ones. And on top of all that, on the path to redemption from his actions of the past. I don't really think Super lacked respect for him.

And still you melde a movie where he look bedass and than end up losing almost get killed strangolated by broly until goku come to help and as usual he couldn’t beat no one without goku saving his ass….the movie was/is awesome, really good done. Super animtion, really cool… but it follow the same pattern as always for vegeta. It very sad that even in the fanmade works he still Not be able to win without almost get killed from the villain and helped from goku
Super to me did Vegeta the dirtiest...it's one of the reasons why I despise Super, putting it even under GT. They bring Frieza back, hinting that Vegeta will finally revenge his Planet and Family to then have that taken away from Goku, again.
Then you have Goku Black (which in itself makes no sense), that was an golden opportunity for Vegeta to kick Goku's ass without actually having to do it so to his now Rivalfriend and also save his new Family from the Future giving adult Trunks another great lesson and development, but no. That as well was taken away from him. You have the beautiful "My Bulma!" scene that was also terribly done, the shortest hype I've ever scene in my life, and then the Tournament of Power with Goku having another op form that Vegeta can ever compete and catch up with, putting him always under Goku, when Vegeta is supposedly the Elite.
