The sound design of PS1 version of High Stakes is surprisingly good. Engine sounds are very realistic. I have no idea why the pc version sounds like crap.

Man. Been so long since I've played this game lol. Our PC could barely play it though so it was almost stop motion. It was really hard for me to really play very well. I still loved it though.

I belive on Durham Road the accent was english but on Celtic Ruins scottish. Awesome game.

I like how all the police voice at all tracks speak English even though the police logo on their cop cars are a different language
There was an option to turn on "local police" which would switch the police voices to their respective languages/accents

It's the DPAD. I don't remember the specific buttons for each support though.
