    For future use. Get a block of ivory soap and use that as drill lube. Used that in shop class when drilling oak. Great progress. Happy new year!

    It’s looking sooo good now. Almost feels like you’ll soon be dried in and ready for the internal fit out.. I always comment this, but it staggers me every week that you’re doing this solo and that you must feel immensely proud of yourself every time you hit the crest of the driveway and see your home rising from the earth! Bravo sir. Bravo!

    Happy New Year. Glad you had some good quality family time over Christmas. Looking forward to the build continuing in 2025, but be safe. You don’t need holes in your new floor or missing fingers.

    Looking awesome. You can use a roto hammer to drive the rebar if you have one. I used mine to drive 8’ grounding rods into the ground. Drives like butter. Thanks for sharing!

      Everything is looking great! Just as an FYI, make sure your wiring holes are PERFECTLY in line and clean. Just the slightest misalignment or wood shavings will cause you quite a bit of grief when running your wires. Ask me how I know !!!

    Being a 64 year old man, I would cut Your rebar and wrangle make it a whole lot. Easier to drive might have to make an extra cut depends how long the rebar is will save you a lot of wear and tear on your body. Here is truly an old man.😎

    What's the plan for wild fires, your home will auto ignite from radiant heat or burn from ember attack, glazing needs to be fire rated, and have mesh screens for ember attack

    • @DemasiLogCabin
      @DemasiLogCabin  25 дней назад

      I appreciate the concern. You can take measures for fire prevention, but if a forest fire happens it happens.

    Hate to tell you this but it will be April before it warms up. Just gets colder every day. Glad I’m not there. Things look great. Moving right along. Any of the kittens ever come back? I was just asking about the cat and there she is. We usually have a batch every year in the shop. Then they leave and always come back.☺️

      @ if you have as many coyotes as we have I’m not surprised. Last year we had a mountain lion wonder out of the corn field into our yard while I was on my scooter and it scared the daylights out of me. It was big. I’m guessing it came from your neck of the woods.
