Grubby you playing TDs is really enjoyable. Thank you for branching out to the customs we grew up with and love!!
I was thinking of elemental and youtd few days ago, even before you posted the first episode
Glad to see some of the old maps getting love
loved elemental TD back in the day.... should make a series of you running old custom games like preschool showdown, helms deep, pimp my peon etc....
This is making me want to do wc3 again! I do t have time to get good at standard but this would be a great blast from the past for me
Did not expect to be seeing tower defense in 2022
It's nice to see you playing other game mode or map. I hope you play farmer vs hunter someday ^^
8:26 - Impulse tower: this is similar to Laser tower except that the damage increases with longer range, whereas the Laser tower the damage decreases with longer range.
Theres a really fun mobile version of element TD that I think is made by the same dev
It's honestly a great time, I like to do random element like this
name ?
@@ymotberub7775 same name :)
The problem with Grubby's early game here is that he's investing too many resources in towers that he doesn't need. The early game is super important because it positions you to snowball your income if you do it correctly. You only need one advanced tower in the beginning, but Grubby had all this extra cash laying on the map invested in towers that weren't doing anything extra. That cash on the map could have been in the bank, earning interest. For example, once he got the vapor tower he could have sold everything else, and earned money on that each turn. Instead, he kept building useless fire towers which took away from his potential interest. And then he got the impulse tower waaay too early. Throughout the entire early game he placed way more strength on the map than was necessary, and completely draining his bank, when he should have just been getting by with the minimum and stacking up on reserves. This is an economic game first, and a TD second. He was doing well in the very beginning by maximizing his interest each time the clock hit 0. But at the extremely early levels, you only see pretty marginal gains. It eventually gets very snowbally and money isn't an issue. You end up just spamming the most advanced towers and barely making a dent in the bank.
"WHEN DO WE GET OUR MONEY, DANIEL?"
Grubby play some Legion TD pls
I'm only 26 mins in but if no one said it yet the reason the guy has so much money is because he got 4 interest rate before elementals
Good old TD!
40 minutes? i didn't realize they were this long. almost got the 🤡 still got something to strive for next time GG
GRUBBY FTW. ^__^
Need a grubby wintermaul td video always was my favorite td map
you should really hold shift while building towers at start to maximise interest rates
Uze shift plz =)
I don't think he gonna use that
omg I thought that and I haven't played this game in 15years... I wish my memory was that good in relevant things lol
Voodu tower is good
Wouldn't it make sense for the interest to apply to all your assets including buildings so you don't have to rebuild stuff constantly?
theres more diversity this way. also rewards players for taking risks deleting their stuff or banking up lots of money.
@@alexlawson4173 that doesn't make sense; it looks like it only takes a few seconds to build and upgrade these things; the window for risk is tiny. I imagine most players won't be doing it simply out of laziness. You must like clicking a lot
@@BachelorChowFlavour early on its a low risk which is why you see grubby doing it. Later on when there are so many upgrades to get, there's more risk and more reward.
To do with the clicking thing, I never really thought that would be an issue coming from starcraft but I suppose most people playing tower defense are a bit more casual so I guess I'll give you that one.
Still no I don't think it would make more sense. Everyone would have the same income. They all kill the same dudes as far as I can tell so they're getting the same amount of money from that. The only variation is from money towers and interest upgrade which is frankly not worth imo. An extra percent really isn't much (maybe it noticeably adds up but idk)
@@alexlawson4173 You make good points but I think it's still technically "low-risk" in the later game as well, it's just too difficult for Grubby to remember what sequence he needs to do to recreate the same towers in the same spots. It's something a robot should be doing. Honestly I think W3C and Starcraft have this same problem sometimes; too much robotic click-management and not enough strategy
Grubby, TD's are supposed to be relaxing, you sir give me anxiety with your playstyle
Close one. more Ele td plz. :). Try to play hard with select elements because with random once ''hard'' is very impossible to complete you need to be very lucky with elementals.
Spring Tower, _not_ Springald Tower??
Play footies!!!!!!
xd
why are you selling towers over and over again
