Hi Bookworms! Major mistake I didn't realize until I was editing...#13 was The Bloodsworn Saga by John Gwynne. I just completely lost count. My fault. But I totally recommend Bloodsworn! He's writing the final book now, I believe.
I was one of those idiots who refused to read A Song of Ice and Fire for years, was obsessed with the show, still refused to read the books. Then, finally, I decided to read the books last year (possibly something you said). Some of the best books I've ever read. Even if the series is never finished, anyone not reading the books is missing out on possibly the best fantasy series ever. At the very least, right up there with the best.
I was told this by everyone who had read LOTR. I never had but watched the movies. So after I read the books, I gotta say, when the media covers the source material well enough, it wasnt worth it. Of course the books were better, but when you know what happens it's just not worth. If they were finished, I would. But meh, I'll be that idiot and read series of authors who actually commit to their stories. I won't touch rothfuss either.
I will not read these until they are finished. There's too much good material out there where the author has either completed the series or is actively engaged in writing them. Martin seems to be way more interested in the TV work. More power to him, but I'm staying away. Been burned by Zelazny and Jordan already, not to mention Melanie Rawn (still hoping she'll change her mind and finish the Exiles trilogy).
@@Gruso57Exactly! I also dont enjoy reading a book already knowing the plot twists, who dies, who comes back to life, who win, who does what. I agree, it’s not worth it.

@@kingzzz6509 I would be really happy if you could share your favourite Fantasy series. For me TFATF is bellow First Law World and Stormlight Archive.I might change my mind after I read Wrath though 🙏
@@noname3609 My favorite is Harry Potter for nostalgia, and where I was when I read it. Then The Faithful and the Fallen, The Wheel of Time, The Lord of the Rings. There are a lot more that I like, but those are the big ones.
@@kingzzz6509 I see.🙏Wheel of Time is my 4th favourite Fantasy series.I stopped reading it after book 8 but im planning to finish it in one point though 😁
I read Lotr twice,love it 🥰
The Keeper of the Lost Cities is a 10 book series it is YA but it's a good read.
I want to start Sun Eater, but book one is unavailable at MSRP…and Ebay they are crazy expensive
Even the paperbacks?
@@mikesbookreviews , yes. They are unavailable through most stores and it’s crazy what people are asking for that book second hand. The cheapest copy I saw was $79
Empire of Silence and Red Rising are both on my TBR list for a while, but I'm thinking I really need to get to both soon. I've been reading Dresden Files for years but I have to say that long waits for the last few books, and the (IMO) disappointing most recent book, I find my interest waining. Finally, I feel I'm the only one who doesn't care if Martin ever finishes ASOIAF. I could not even finish the first book, because I found is so boring. 😅
I am not a fan of Gentlemen Bastards. It wasn't terrible, I just wasn't feeling it. I think I agree with everything on your list except One Piece, because I haven't read that. I'm really excited about the 2nd Empire of the Vampire book!
Same. I didn't think it was bad I just didn't think it was as incredible as everyone else.
I'm reading Lies of Locke Lamora right now, but only 250 pages in. So far, so good, but not great.
I trust Ruocchio and Cahill will finish their series, hence why I read them so far. But I do have to admit that it's the reason why I haven't read a Song of Ice and Fire serie
I completely understand that.
I will continue to bang the drum for Saga of the Forgotten Warrior!
But i do have a complaint. The damn 4th audiobook hasnt droped yet! I guess the narrator has been slammed with other books.
I'm starting it VERY soon.
@@mikesbookreviews LETS GOOOOO!
2:00 I loved the original Red Rising Trilogy. I tried to get into the sequels, but I don’t like the multi-first person pov.
Keep with it man, book 4 is the WORST in the series, but man, the payoff is worth it, also the lame side characters are a lot better in Dark Age, Can’t wait for Red God
@@diegomiranda3350 I’m going to give it another go, it’s not the worst thing I’ve ever read, it’s just not my thing. But I plan on still reading the sequels.
If the ending is like the show then maybe it’s best Martin never finishes the series
I’m willing to bet he could have it end the same way but actually be good.
What is TBR?
To be read list
The Last King of Osten Ard is great. I can't wait for The Navigator's Children in November!
Nice t shirt 😂 I just got the same one
🤘
Ruocchio!!
But you gotta say it like Rufio in Hook.
HomeLand by Salvatore is FIREEEEEEEEEEEEE
I enjoyed it as well.
Wait what! There's more Ryria????? Dangit, there goes the TBR.....
Ha ha enjoy!
nice shirt
Out of all these, I've read at least one book from all but One Piece.
Nice!
Sanderson said the Cosmere will be done in 26 years. I don’t know about you, but I plan on still being alive in 26 years.
Awesome. Hope for the best expect the worst.
Will he be alive in 26 years? He’s looking awfully rotund recently
@@scottv5587He will be 72 at that time. George Martin made it that far.
If you liked watching "One Piece", you might also like "Hunter X Hunter".
Show us on the Kingkiller series where Rothfuss touched you.
Right in my eyes.
I just can't take it any more, lol.
I don't remember if I ever told you about Dunewave, you can find it on youtube. There is an album and a live soundtracked audiobook. I remember in one of your reviews you said you liked the first book.
@@mikesbookreviews
Was disappointed with Light Bringer. Lysander is a boring character. Cassius was the best character and I'll leave it at that. Lyria and Volga?? Barf. Darrow and Sevro's constantly at each other's throats. I was glad when it was over.
