Your patience and creativity are amazing. I smiled when I noticed you hemming the drapery bit while wearing the dress, so it must be comfortable to wear.

As a man in his late 30's and who isn't directly into (women's) fashion/sewing, I know that I am not in your demographic for your channel. However, I do love retro -- from architecture to fashion to artwork. I do enjoy your aesthetic/approach, and thoroughly love your music choices that you incorporate into your videos. And I was glad that you uploaded a new video.

Thanks! I pick music that’s in the public domain most of the time, so it’s pretty much all from 1923 or earlier.

Wow Miranda your skills keep amazing me! I actually don't sew but always enjoy your creativity. I do however knit and I am always on the look for knits. The sweater you have at minute 17:18 looks very cute!

Thanks! That’s actually a thrifted children’s sweater 😂. That’s one of my favourite hacks for getting a 1950’s style sweater cause they were often cropped and tightly fitted, so if you get a sweater meant for a 5 year old, it can have a very nice effect lol!

I just found your channel and subscribed when it popped up as a recommendation while watching the “With love,Kristina” channel. The 1st video I watched of yours was living a week in the 1950’s. I absolutely love all your content! Every single thing are things I am so fascinated with! I also love the periods between 1900-1950’s and anything Victorian which is my favorite, sewing (though I wish I was better, creating things with my hands, and your style and decor is so much my taste. Your content is right up my alley and each video covers a really interesting topic! Other channels I love are Sage Lileyman, and Laci Fay. I’m adding your channel to my favorites as well. You are so absolutely talented for your age. Keep up the good work!

Thank you so much! That’s the kind of comment that makes my day. As I’ve gotten older, other life responsibilities get in the way of making RUclips videos, but I really want to find the time to make more! 💕

I am totally surprised that everything is being done by hand vs a machine.

This is only the second video I've seen of yours. I subscribed after the first! Sooo...why do you handstitch everything? Just curious. ❤

Thank you! Honestly, I find sewing machine’s exceedingly annoying 😂. I have an antique one from 1906, and for ages it’s been skipping stitches and I can’t for the life of me seem to fix it. Years ago I went through 2 electric sewing machines and broke them both, so I didn’t really trust myself with one. But I’m honestly hoping to try one again. It’s been many years and it would speed up my projects a lot. But there are some reasons I’ll always like hand sewing regardless, one being that I really like the control. I know exactly what I’m doing with each and every stitch. Hand sewing is also silent, so I can do it while watching a movie or listening to a podcast. But it would be nice to have a machine for longer seams like skirt seams. Those take a while when hand sewing.
