    Your comment on the Sinner case is on point. You made a valid point observing how some players have instrumentalized this case to advocate for their agenda. As you said, even though they might have valid points, their opinions on the case displayed a lack of information, which is disrespectful to Sinner. If they don’t want to take the time to inform themselves, say, “ I can’t comment on the case because I don’t have the information.” What is unacceptable is that some journalists lack information. The journalists' questions I heard during the conferences presented misleading information-great Job with your video.

    You are very honest and prepared commentator.
    Before to judge and split opinions one's should study the case. To understand doping case one should have a minimum scientific background. Doping imply chemical substance, analysis, knowledge of metabolic action and half-life of a substance. Besides it is necessary to know doping protocol of ITIA.
    A lot of void opinion in the chat based on feelings not on facts.

    I love Karue, his effort to compete back on the pro tour as well as his tennis content. I appreciate Tu's effort to put on an entertaining match against Alcaraz as well. But how about Varvara Lepchenko on the women's side? At the age of 38 she played through the qualifier and is now at the 2nd round of US Open. She is the oldest WTA player in the top 200. And she may have a fighting chance to get back to top 100.

      It might be the thought that larger relevant doses taken previously leave trace amounts in the body later.

    • @dboystipsandtricks408
      @dboystipsandtricks408 Месяц назад

      If you take a full dose of cocaine a month before a drug test the test may detect only a billionth of a gram of cocaine metabolite but it doesn’t change the fact that you got high on drugs a month before the test. Steroids are banned “at all times” by the WADA which means during competition AND out of competition. There is a 4 to 5 week period between the AO and Indian Wells where Sinner could have benefited from steroid use because steroids allow one to train harder for longer with shorter recovery times. That is how steroid users benefit from the steroids. It is not during competition but before the competition. Finally, there is no scientific study that currently exists that proves that clostebol can be transferred from a trainer to an athlete when the trainer sprays the steroid on his finger so there is a leap of faith that must be done if one is to believe sinner’s claims.

      @@slarsen6653 the billionth of a gram is a metabolite of clostebol not the clostebol itself. It doesnt measure the amount of clostebol taken by sinner weeks before the doping test

    • @dboystipsandtricks408
      @dboystipsandtricks408 27 дней назад +1

      What was detected is the metabolite of Clostebol and doesn't say how much Clostebol was taken weeks before Indian Wells. Steroids are used to allow athletes to train harder for longer and with shorter recovery times. Also, a billionth of a gram is a measure of concentration in 1 ml of sample. It doesn't mean there were only a billionth of a gram in Sinner's whole body. There is no tolerance because dopers have gotten crafty in trying to hide steroid use.

    Nothing in Sinner's steroid scandal was normal.
    He failed the test not once - but twice, yet everything was kept in secret for 6 months. ATP didn't want to lose their views and money from the number 1 player.
    As for the amount of the steroid in the body - drugs have their life span. They are in certain amount one day, then in the next 24, 48... hours they break down and metabolize into a portion of the initial amount.
    Unless Sinner was tested every day (and he wasn't) - the "small amount" they discovered after 8 days - means nothing.
    The worst thing in this scandal - is Sinner's official statement (excuse):
    Sinner's physiotherapist Giacomo Naldi, had an open wound on his hand. He treated the wound with a banned anabolic steroid. Then he proceeded to give Sinner full body massages, multiple times - WITHOUT GLOVES, AND WITH A WOUND ON HIS HAND.
    And that's how the steroid got into Sinner's skin, then the body.
    You really have to be something, to believe this fairy tale.

      Yes and no one is saying Sinner, Alcaraz and Djokovic choked and played really bad when also lost one set. It was first round and usual a little nerves. Zverev lost one set and still people comment how bad he played. No one is talking about him and finally not so much in the spotlight. I think that.will help him to possibly win when not as much pressure except his own pressure to finally win. Also got a pretty good draw. Thiem lost 3 GS finals before won and also was 27 when won. Of course. we will have to wait and see. Djokovic is still playing well at 37 but I think he may wear out by the semis. If Sinner and Alcaraz make the semis they will have a strong battle and the winner will probably be tired by the final.

    Concerning Sinner’s case: are we sure about the facts, or did we (and ATP) take the explanations given at face value? Did anyone confirm them?
    Is it reasonable to believe that his physiotherapist happened to have a cut on a finger, happened to treat it with a spray containing clostebol and massaged Sinner while on treatment? Isn’t there any other treatment for cuts? Why a steroid? Of all people, wouldn’t such a professional be aware of the risk? Wouldn’t a sensible physiotherapist suspend his practice until fully cured? Would a sensible person massage another one with a wound on a finger, under treatment or not? Even though the concentrations found are low, how permeable is the human skin to clostebol?

      Well ironically the spray was probably healing it so he could carry out his work. And it was his little finger. And yes of course someone looked into it, there as an investigation and several interviews with the team, expert opinion on the amount (blind for 2 of the scientists ie they didn't know who the player was), corroboration of the account and a full hearing. The narrative of several players and some commentators that it wasn't done by the rules is completely wrong, it was

      If you had read the papers as Nik did, you would have found that all those questions got an answer. Plus, I too was surprised when I learnt that Trofodermin contains a steroid, but I'm no pharmacist so I really can't tell if it makes sense or not. Fact is, that spray does wonders on the little cuts and bruises.
      About the question on how a professional can make such a mistake, I think it's related with the slow and fast thinking about which Kahneman wrote: put it very simply, the physio just focused on healing his wound and didn't really think it through, as shown by his patchy recollections
