I came into Diablo in D3 season 15 or so and have been hooked on Diablo every since. I’m sure you know the state of this game and all the things people say about it but to see all these new players despite that are having fun is a great thing to see. Do I feel some type of way about Blizzard and this game? Yes. Do I want D4 to win despite that? HELL YES!! I love Diablo and I want it to be good and it’s about to get even better imo. If anyone hasn’t seen the patch notes you should check em out because the game is going to dramatically change for the better! Good luck and I’ll see yall out there!
Diablo 4 was my first Diablo and ARPG game as well. Played every season since launch. The combat in this game is one of the best. Tried last epoch and it wasn’t even close. Season 4 has much needed itemization changes coming to both eternal and seasonal realm. Game will be in a much better state once that drops. Once you get to max level currently the end game is lackluster. That update should help a bit.
Im sure someone said this but always play seasonal realm, all the stuff you do/collect/farm etc is carried over at the end of a season, if you play eternal you're just missing out on the seasonal mechanics and what not but for a first playthrough if you just want to experience the story and a more direct path eternal will be fine.
This is something that troubled me a lot with making my decision when I first started tbh ha ha. So if a new player played the seasonal realm first, as well as the gear and collectibles you get from the season specifics do all the waypoints and altars of Lilith etc carry over the the eternal realm afterwards as well? Cheers for commenting mate as I am really enjoying this game and wanna help other players who are thinking about giving it a try too. Are you enjoying Diablo 4?
No worries mate, happy to be informative but yea everything you can think of will carry over from seasonal realm to the eternal at the end of a season, Shrines, waypoints, stash, inventory, everything.. as well as 90% of players reside in the seasonal realm, I think i speak for most when i say, hope to see you around.

A few easy tips i got: As you level up remember to upgrade your health potions as you level. It's also good to always have some kind of pot burning for the exp boost. If you're playing with friends starting in wt2 is super easy and worth the EXP imo. Especially with this next huge update. Don't fuss too much about gear until after level 50. Play around, see what you like and go from there. Also don't waste many materials upgrading your stuff. This will change in the next patch but for now that's the best way about it. Do you class quest as soon as possible. The power difference is huge. Also remember to collect your renown rewards when you complete them. Renown, some way points and the lilith statues hold over into the next seasons for all your characters so it's important to get those done. Cheers.
