the fact that you are using this on a laptop basically nullified the entire "deal breakers" section. In monitor settings you can change the warning for the pixel refresh to not show, and set it to automatically do the refresh on its own when the monitor goes into standby also...for someone that complains so much about cable management you'd think you'd have a monitor arm.
thanks for the tip on the background refresh, wasn't aware of that option. The lack of speakers and monitor stand size doesn't only apply to laptops. Yes, a monitor arm would address the monitor stand size and cabling issues and that's yet another thing to purchase.
I use my old monitor for work when and the dwf for gaming. Best monitor I’ve ever had. Kind of nit picking in this video, but everyone has their uses. If you have a pc and not a laptop I’d say it’s by far the best out there right now.
@@chantasticlife Thank you, I found a lot of comments and recent returns because of Freesync flickering and other problems. I thought there were no monitors that didn't have the problem.
I have one on order right now. I do not game at all. My current monitor runs all day and way into the night. Should I just get a ultrawide IPS or keep this?
OLEDs are generally not good for displaying static content for long periods of time with a risk of image retention (burn in). That said, an IPS might be a better fit if you plan on leaving it on all the time. You don’t have to be a gamer to enjoy this monitor. General RUclips and web browsing is quite enjoyable. Hope that helps. Also hopefully there’s a good return policy for you to try it out…
Although the USB A to C adapter would work port wise, it wouldn’t provide the same power output as a dedicated USB-C PD port (15W vs 100W). But yeah I shouldn’t have to pay for an adapter either 😆
Hey thought about this some more. Looks like a DP1.4 to USB-C adapter would solve this issue (provides both power & data). Still, annoying to get more adapters.
Had it for 4 months so far, definitely not disappointed.

Great video. Very informative. Thanks.
I just got this monitor, it is amazing.
Indeed!

For sure, definitely an amazing monitor. I miss that picture quality!
No Freesync Problems like White flickering or something like that ?
I didn’t observe any visual flickering anomalies

Nice review
Thanks for the positive feedback!
Amazing, i'm definitely getting this bad boy. Hopefully it will improve my productivity as a 3d artist
Not recommended for editing
@@Cicoo I got it and it's amazing for my needs
I have been using the RTS preset with Windows 11 HDR & it looks great!
Awesome, I haven’t downloaded Win 11 yet and can’t imagine it looking even better. Looked fantastic out of the box already!
I’m PC gamer so this makes sense to me. But I see your point with laptop. I think Samsung G8 OLED same panel and $1000 vs Alienware $900.
Bruh a usb a to c adapter is 2 bucks 😂

@@chantasticlifethat cable comes inside the box, excellent review btw!
@@LNANG21 ah, that cable wasn’t included in my open box model. Probably explains my frustration :) Thanks for the positive feedback!
