We really hope you have enjoyed this weeks video. If in the unlikely event you would be interested to see our Patreon Page, you will find it over here: www.patreon.com/2goroam
I love your channel and you're both very enjoyable to listen to. It takes a lot more courage to take the risk to live the life of your choice, than to stay "chained" to a conventional life. Here's to living intentionally! And thanks for all your hard work on your videos. I'm also a RUclipsr. It's gratifying but also very hard work! 😍
I don’t know much about patriot but you are both charming people and who wouldn’t want to have more interactions with you. Q&A videos are so helpful and allow us, the viewer,to get to know you more. Same idea. Great stuff.
We lived out of a backpack for 2 years, posting on FB when you look back you see the same T-shirts shorts etc etc. So when we got to Thailand we bought all new items. Enjoy your trip.
Hey RLTD! Really appreciate the comment, funny... I wore a grey T Shirt yesterday (in fact it is the one you will see in Next saturday's video). Sarah said "That looks nice on you." My reaction.... "Do you think I should just go buy another 6 of these and have done with it?" Sarah drew the line there... Best regards, Neil & Sarah
A most comprehensive Q&A indeed! I’m delighted you guys are indeed living out your very intentional and planned dream! Many folk simply won’t understand how or why you walk this path or that you have planned it over many years. But, I take great joy in following your adventures and wish you both happiness and success in all that you do. Thank you for sharing your adventures with the rest of us! 👍
Hey CBL! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! Great to see you back in the comments. That is really cool of you to say. It is funny when we get comments of people who don't take time to understand what we are doing and then they make a snap decision about our intelligence level. Great to see a long term viewer voice what you have here. We really appreciate it! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
@@2GoRoam Thank you for your most kind comment! Indeed, I have been enjoying your channel from the beginning when you were selling up and saying your farewells. Your Liverpool trip made me want to visit the city and I now notice that lots of bbc tv programs are filmed there, so a trip will be planned. Although I haven’t been in the comments, I have been watching and enjoying the adventure as it unfolds. I think that your observations of your comments section are correct, lots of folk don’t get it. Society is set up in a most repetitive fashion where we are conditioned to work hard at school, get a job, have a family and work until we drop or retire at 67. You guys haven’t exactly stuck to that traditional plan and have indeed planned and executed your escape to explore something a little different. Im sure some folks have always done this type of thing, but, social media now allows the world to jump onboard for the ride. Since watching yours and other retired early vlogs, I have stopped buying unnecessary consumer items, focused on my health/ wellness, begun to invest in dividend stocks and formed my own ‘escape’ committee. I hope to sell off a lifetime of gathered items in the coming months and invest the proceeds to fund my own adventures. In the meantime, please continue to travel the path less traveled and blog the life that lots of us wished we’d planned for 20 years ago! 👍😀
Great to hear about the consumer items, that is the first and one of the most difficult things. Sarah talks about the 72 hour rule.... basically if you have the urge to buy... leave it 72 hours and see if you still have the urge, often you would have forgotten you even wanted it. Thanks so much man, we really appreciate having you here.
@@2GoRoam Yes, I have implemented Sarah’s 72 hour rule lol. When sorting out items for sale, I’ve been oddly unsettled about deciding to sell things I haven’t picked up or used for 20 years or more!? I am slowly fighting the hoarding urge, however it’s not as easy as I had imagined….. Still, the pot of cash from the sales is satisfyingly growing and that’s the point. This will potential allow freedoms only once dreamed of, off to make some money!
For me, to be able see the "background stuff" around your RUclips activities such as how you plan your videos/content/scripts, what you have found is the most efficient way to edit the content,is something for which I would wholeheartedly support you on Patreon.
Hey Harry! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! That is really cool for you to say! We have put our Patreon live now but are open to ideas about what the different levels should include. We are really planning to do a lot of behind the scenes stuff. The work that goes into each video is quite something. Thanks again. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Oh man! Listening to your response to some negative comments just cracked us up. We are with you and Sarah. Please know that you have reinforced our plans to travel. Great content. Keep posting.
Hi Neil and Sarah, wow lots of questions that you got through there! Interesting to hear your answers - you had me and Donna nodding away at most of them. One thing that I have personally been surprised about which you touched on within the video is seeing just how well developed other countries are. We will often be walking around I will repeatly mention it. Like you said, in the UK we live in this box and it has been so amazing to see what's out there. In terms of inflation I was saying to Donna the other day that I'm so glad we sold everything because it would have affected us a lot more being in the UK right now. Excellent video as usual 👌
Hey Craig! Really appreciate the comment and we know how well travelled you guys are. Yes the world is pretty cool isn't it, the UK isn't actually the centre of the universe! Strange eh :-) We were talking with friends today on a video call and they were shocked that we love Thailand so much, that there were virtually no negatives to the place. Stay in touch guys and lets catch up on video sometime soon. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Great video! I agree if you do something you love, then low hourly pay is worthwhile. But keeping a relaxed perspective and putting yours + your partner’s happiness first will help you enjoy it + focus on the fun. I also agree, being raised in our countries in our ivory towers, we develop some perspectives that don’t benefit us. When we can travel and feel more acceptance of the way things are done in other countries, we also discover why so many people in developing countries are so happy with less. It’s a perspective of focusing on what’s right, and it doesn’t come naturally but as we practice it, it brings soooo much more joy ✨
I’ve travelled to several countries prior to COVID, leisurely or by taking study abroad students to see the developing world. I feel fortunate to live in Southern California and am at the stage where I feel the need to explore what this part of the world has to offer. My stepmother is a thai so I’ve lived and visited Thailand many times over and have lived and worked there for a while. But your channel is inspiring and provides people like us the opportunity to travel the world virtually with you! Please keep it up! You both are amazing!
Great content. Love your honesty. It’s so inspiring to know that having a goal and they creating that detailed plan works. Often people struggle making switch from holiday thinking to just living an intentional life each day. Well done. Best to live the best life while healthy and active. You never know what life throws at you. Love your channel.
Hey MJBALM! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! That is really lovely of you to say. We hope you love our channel way into the future :-) Best regards, Neil & Sarah
I look forward to your videos every Saturday! It’s the highlight of my week. I get so inspired by both of you! These next two years are just dragging by waiting for my husband to retire so that we can slow travel, too. I find the information that y’all share with us every week is so valuable in preparing us for what lies ahead. I hope someday we can meet up somewhere in the world and enjoy a beer together (although it would have been nice to have some in your former ivory tower, too. 😂🤣). If you decide to go with patreon, it would be my honor to give financial support to y’all. ❤️
Hey Lorrie! Thank you for the kind comment, hope you enjoy our content as we go forward! 2 years will flash by, trust us, we didn't realise how quick that time passed before we were out traveling. We would LOVE to meet somewhere in the world for that beer, just be sure to stay in touch and we can't wait to see you on the road. Our Patreon is now live, hope to see you there sometime soon. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
You mentioned something about how we see other cultures or something to that affect and your hole in the ground resort story. The common expat comments like "they should.." , "why do/don't they..", " thry ought to..." really ruffle my tailfeathers! This lifestyle has blessed me with many "ah-ha"s. My #1 is "no one gets to claim whst 'right' is". "Right" is only a perspective based on our own norms. Your "right" doesn't make someone else "wrong".
Hey Janet! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! FANTASTIC, love that you picked up on this little story here. Why is it that humans think that their perspective is *right*, we are really purposeful as we travel in thinking about... where we are and what the local people are doing... this is normal and they are right. We are just passing through. Love this comment thank you! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hi Neil & Sarah, your channel is my favorite on RUclips! You reignited my FIRE dream when I chanced upon your channel 3 weeks ago. Keep on sharing and doing the great work you started. Love your authenticity, honesty and humour! 🙌
Hey Sojourner! Thanks for getting in touch, that is incredible and exactly the kind of reason we started making the channel in the first place. If we are in any position to inspire others to do the same then it is 100% worthwhile for us. Re-igniting you FIRE dream is brilliant! Thanks so much for letting us know. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hey Vedette! Thank you for the kind comment, hope you enjoy our content as we go forward! Yes it truly is a wonderful country and I (Neil) have learnt a lot through my experiences there. Loved Jo'berg and Cape Town and so much more to see. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
I agree re people negatively commenting - one has to ask who is that really about? This is your life and you have a right to do whatever you want, no one has the right to speak in to it unless you give them permission. So ignore the loose pins, you have an exceptional life and its wonderful you are prepared to share your adventures with others through your channel as well as share what you have learnt and are learning...Another great video thanks for taking the time to share these insights..
Hey Dawn! Really appreciate the comment, yes... you won't hear us mention them again, unless at christmas we may do a run down of the funniest comments we have had :-) Thank you so much, we work hard and it is lovely to see it is respected. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Well done and well said especially your final words- go and live your own intentional life. We are still watching you and others on RUclips for info and entertainment but we need to get out there and "live it" while we still have health and energy and oomph! Thank you.
Health care once you leave the U.K. for more than 6 months you have to go back on the waiting list for up to 2 years this has been a big debate on one of my videos.
Hey RLTD! Really appreciate the comment, yes we are aware and are looking at online NHS doctors in the UK at the moment with a hope of overcoming that issue. Do you have any great solutions? Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Morning. Another great video, love the RANT :) . I get the bit about culture, you missed a cracking party weekend in the UK but as you travel you will see and be able to experience many cultures and that's a blessing too.
Hey Bracebarian! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment again. Yes we felt strange not being in the UK for the weekend... We still remember the Silver Jubilee! Do you remember that? Magical time. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
I love the Q&A videos! The first question out of the gate was one that I've often wondered about. It's good to know that your appetite for travel only grows. While on vacations I've often thought to myself, "would I get tired of this eventually?" Great content guys!
A useful Q&A it is like taking a class what I am going to do next thank both for helping all others in the time of your relaxing looking forward to more videos and I do share to my friends thanks again keep good work going
I really enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for all the work you put in every week to get these videos out to us !! This is a life that most of us don't live but may want to later in life. Thanks for all the tips and video of places that many of us have never been to. It opens up our imaginations as to what is possible !!!! Patreon is a great feature and you guys deserve $$ for the value you provide to people retiring and/or traveling like you do !!!
Well done Neil and Sarah, you are doing what a lot of people dream of doing but don’t because fear often holds us back! Don’t spend too much time on your videos defending your lifestyle choices, as you mentioned people can “chug along “ if it’s not for them. Wishing you both well on your adventure, be safe, healthy and happy . Look forward to following along .
Hey Karen! Thanks for getting in touch, we take your point about focusing on this in videos. We won't actually mention it again. We met a RUclips heavyweight this week and he talked to us about that kind of stuff and what we are now doing is focusing on the cool people. We put you in that camp. Appreciate the comment. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
So interesting that you have reduced the luggage you carry. I remember thinking as I watched early video if you would trim down but sound like you have dropped more than half! An updated what you pack in your bags would be super. They are very popular. Your lessons of what you really need and likely have found many trick of nomadic like. Great fun
Hey PNL! Really appreciate the comment, your name is intriguing enough that we are checking out your channel now! We really hope we run into you someplace too! Please do keep in touch and who knows where that will be. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hey Theo! Thank you, that sounds really cool. Appreciate you getting in touch. Reading your surname, guessing you are referring to SA? Yes we love it! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hi Neil and Sarah, we are really loving your youtube channel. We are a couple in our early 50's looking to retire early and escape the rat race and your channel is a godsend. Funnily enough we also have a similar taste in music and have seen Mesh,Covenant,de/vision, gary numan and vnv nation multiple times in the uk. Keep the great content coming, cheers Steve and Amanda..
The story about the hole in the ground reminded me. It’s their country and you ain’t changing it. Your just visiting. After living in Korea, Philippines, and Japan with the military. You learn to adapt or go crazy. Like you clips great advice.
Thanks for sharing your intentional lives with all of us. We appreciate your honesty and do look forward to the regular YT updates to help us plan our travels. Imagine if we got to share a drink sometime, somewhere in the world!?! I don’t know much about Patreon but will take a look at your link….happy travels xx
Hey Tanya! Really appreciate the comment, we would LOVE to share that drink with you somewhere. All that means is, we need to make that happen so keep in touch. The Patreon is now live at www.patreon.com/2goroam but really only do it if you think you would get value from what we are offering, we are also looking at the Tierings and are moving things around to make more appropriate. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
I’m 100% with you regarding the definition of fast, slow and flexible travel. I was the spreadsheet guy when I went on holidays. Couldn’t waste a second before that dreaded flight home. You need to get Tom Yam on your list of favourite Thai dishes. 🤙
Hey Ryan! Really appreciate the comment, hilarious when we think back to how I use to pull those spreadsheets together, but I am with you there for sure. Note made now of Tom Yam, we are going to give it a go! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Loved this video, I particularly liked your honest view about doing a RUclips channel and the time involved editing etc… I kind of picked up from you and other RUclipsrs that it takes dedication and effort… something I’ll never have! So I leave that to you guys. It’s cool to see how you guys have changed over this last year, it’s very subtle but if I met you two on the road I swear I’d think you’d been travelling for years… you’ve clearly found your groove.
Hey Dave! Thanks for getting in touch again. Yes RUclips is a lot harder than we thought before we started that is for sure. That is really cool of you to say. You know we had a video call with some of our best friends today and they commented at how much Sarah has grown in the last year. Very cool eh. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Just love you both! Was lucky enough to happen across your fist ever video when you first put it up and I have been hooked ever since! Love the way you travel, your transparency and the way you are together! Two years left for my Hubble and I and your videos are inspirational and invaluable! Thank you thank you thank you! X
Very informative and interesting video. Thank you for sharing. Love the idea of slow travel. I can understand the video editing time requirement. What kind of cameras do you use besides your iPhone?
Hey Mike! Thanks for getting in touch, yes, video editing... phew that can be a job sometimes. We rarely use our phones in fact, we only do that if we see something spectacular on a day that we aren't filming and then we pull out our phone to capture. The main reason we don't use the phone is that the Frame Rate on there doesn't match all the rest of our captured content which means it can look juddery in the edit. So apart from that we use; - GoPro Hero 9 - Insta360 Go 2 - DJI Pocket - Insta360 One X2 Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Great to listen to a fellow Englishmen talking common Sense without any BS! I sent you an email this morning I really think my idea proposal would help you along with your finances. It has certainly worked for us. Ian
I thoroughly enjoy your videos. To be honest, your exact lifestyle may not be for my wife and me, but we are watching with the intent of finding a hybrid model that works for us. Keep up the fun vids and enjoy your intentional life! BTW - We live in Texas and hope to move our home to Europe in a few years. From there, we will start our travels! Cheers!
Hey Scott! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! Hybrid is absolutely the way to go... Really our lifestyle is so personal to us that it likely only works for us. We got to this through looking at a hybrid of others we have seen around us. So you are doing 100% the right thing, good work! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
I’d really be interested in supporting you guys on Patreon particularly for information with travel specifics. Examples would be where you stayed, how much it cost, where would have been better to stay after you get to know the area, etc. When the hubs and I travel we look for a moderate hotel that is centrally located that is well rated. There are literally hundreds and it’d be nice to have a little more information from someone who is actually there. By the way, great video!
Hey ENL! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! we have now made the Patreon live but are open to ideas of what should be in different levels and if we should shift stuff around. We are hoping that the Livestreams will also provide some really good opportunity to get into those things. Thanks you so much, this means a lot! Also can see you are nearly at 1k Subs!!! GO FOR IT! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Thanks for the honest look into the costs of RUclips! So grateful you both enjoy it since it clearly is not going to allow you to pay for The Ritz anytime soon! ;)
Hey Ashley! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment as ever. Well we have earned enough to eat Ritz crackers and we love those so we are doing great :-) Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Loving your channel and look forward to Saturday each week. I would support you on Patreon. More in-depth planning topics, access to budget tools, more details about the realities, excitements, and concerns with your locations. You have shared that detailed planning has led to you guys heading out for 10 years of travel, curious if that ended up being essential or if you have had to make several changes to that initial planning. Again, love your channel and don’t pay any attention to the negativity. You guys are smart and living the dream!!
Hey Angela! Thank you so much for taking the time to get in touch. That's great to hear, although we have put our Patreon live we are open to ideas for what should be on there. We actually flexed our plan a lot, especially when Covid hit, fortunately though we were doing the 'just one more year' thing at the time. Hope that helps 👍 Best wishes Neil & Sarah
Hey Justine! Thanks for getting in touch, that is so cool! Thank you for letting us know, it just feels so right to us. Everything we talk about between us and that we share on the channel really comes down to not leaving things to chance. Planning and structuring has helped us so much over the years. Thank you again! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hello just wanted to say great job on the videos..this type of travel interests my wife and I..I am sure we will do a version of it very soon . Will be retiring at 57 years old 267 days but who is counting 😃 . I have a number of questions but I will catch up with past videos before I ask them . I recently hit my 20th country visited. And we are planning a SE Asia trip in 2025 maybe our paths will cross Thanks again
Just watched your video while emptying the dishwasher. Have seen a few of your videos and enjoyed them all. Have travelled independently in over 60 countries, but it's now been four yrs since my last overseas trip... Can at least experience things vicariously through you. While you are in Chiang Mai, be sure to go visit the Elephant Nature Park - you can even spend time there volunteering. It's a special place. Keep up the good work - but don't let the videos be a source of stress. Thank you for sharing. (This is my first ever You Tube comment!)
Hey lliebergen! Really appreciate the comment, thank you for the heads up. We will of course visit an elephant sanctuary and the first thing we have discussed doing is, research to ensure that the place we choose is ethical. So we are over the moon for this recommendation, we will be sure to make a video from there! Thanks so much. And please.... comment more. You are pretty cool, did you know that? Best regards, Neil & Sarah
@@2GoRoam Thanks Neil & Sarah - yes that is very important, that's why I selected to go to Elephant Nature Park when I was in Chiang Mai. It's a sanctuary and rescue center founded by Lek Chailert. You could actually stay there and volunteer for a week or two. Wow - I just looked on their website and for staying there, most of June and July are fully booked/not available - maybe it's too hot? But June 27- July 3 has some availability. You could always just go for a day, anyway, anytime. Check it out. I will look forward to finding out what your experience will be. Elephants are amazing. Stay cool! (My last overseas trip was actually to Bangkok - but that was in March 2018 - is it quite hot there right now, being that it's June? Maybe it's consistently warm all year, I'm not sure...
We will probably do a day trip there. It will be very emotional for me as I lost my mum last year and she absolutely loved Elephants, I am tearing up just thinking about it. Thanks so much, we will go for sure and get it on video too! Best regards, Neil (& Sarah)
Another wonderful video! I really resonate with the intentional aspects of travel (and other parts of life). Intentionality is so critical in making the most out of anything. I look forward to seeing what comes next with this subtle shift. So it seems like you're carrying substantially less than when you started your journey. I would really be interested in knowing what you travel with specifically, what you eliminated, and why you eliminated those items.
Hey Nabil! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment as usual. Good questions, in the video this weekend I mention that we have planned a video where we talk about what we thought was important before travel and in that video we could share that. Just wanted to ask people in that video how important that would be to them. I can see you would like that, which is a great start. Thanks Nabil! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Love your travels, as a NZer you are a bit too organised for us, but that is simply our culture. We did house sitting around the world before covid, and had 3 months in Thailand in Doi Sakat, absolutely loved the life there, so cheap, people so friendly, ate out everyday, we had a car left for us so travelled into the hills where it was cooler, I know a lot of Australians and some NZers move there in retirement. Take care I know you are absolutely enjoying everything, hope to see you both in NZ 🇳🇿
Hey King D! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! Yes you are right about being organised, I think that is due to us only leaving corporate life a relatively short time ago, it takes time to readjust. Yes Thailand is very special isn't it. We are loving it. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hey Mohammed! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! That is so cool of you to say and we really appreciate you getting in touch. We know it takes time to comment. We really appreciate you being here with us. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Love your laid-back and casual style. It comes across as friendly and helpful. Thank you for sharing with us! Slow travel is something that I've dreamed about for years. I'm a bit older and don't have the opportunity to save and sell the way you have. However, I've set myself up with a couple of monthly pensionsand will eventually receive SS. Also, I wonder what your thoughts are on renting one's house instead of selling when you live in an area with a hot rental market. P.S. it would be great if people could make an occasional donation on Patreon instead of being a monthly member.
Hey Kirsten! Really appreciate the comment, firstly we take your point on Patreon and we are still figuring out what we think of the concept and what it can give us (beyond the money side). There is the superthanks on RUclips that you will see below our videos too. With regard to Property vs Real Estate, the variables are mind-boggling they really are and one of the variables that has to be considered is the quality of the market for rental. Where we lived in the UK was a small town and not exactly a destination town either so for us, the rental side would have been too up/down to be able to be sure. If as you say you are in an area with a hot rental market that changes the landscape. I have mentioned that I am working on a video relating to that and I am, thing is... it is very complicated and I am setting aside 2 hours a week at the moment for planning. I hope it to be shot and uploaded in around 6 weeks. So watch this space, I want to do the subject real justice. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Love the point re RUclips income! It's hilarious when I do the same and calculate my hourly rate! LOL. Patreon is a funny one. I used to do so much with early videos, other perks, trying to send postcards, but honestly they all seem to just want to support and don't expect anything. I post regularly but many don't check Patreon and don't have notifications on. I would say that RUclips negatively affects the travel experience. One reason I'm bringing it to a close after 6 years is that travel is so focused on filming. I don't experience travel or remember anything. I'm looking forward to travelling with out a camera. I wouldn't recommend it. Bizarrely I hate filming but enjoy editing! I think it's my creative side. On that note, I've gotta go out filming! Speak soon you two! X
Hey David! Absolutely get that about the filming and enjoyment of a location. We have changed our strategy significantly and the watershed for us was a video we made about the Acropolis. For us, it was a little cinematic gem but it performed awfully and impacted the channel growth, then I (Neil) realised that I didn't actually *see* the Acropolis, I was so tied up in shooting a film of it. That was when we knew we had to change. Listen, lets talk soon ok! Enjoy your travels... a REAL inspriational RUclipsr! We love your work. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hello Neil and Sara! I have no doubt that you did extensive planning and still have a thoughtful plan to enable you to do what you are doing! I admire you both! It takes a lot of courage to "dare greatly", as Brene' Brown, famous author, wrote. I want to take my state pension and use "geo arbitrage" to my advantage- I learned that term in your video :). It gives me hope that I too can do some slow travel, instead of the same old thing and maybe retire earlier that I could if staying in the US. I especially appreciate your meticulous budgeting and demonstrating how it can be done. I also think Neil being a former banker must help you in that pursuit. Don't let others misinformed comments deter you from your dreams. ❤
Hey Mohd! Thanks for getting in touch, we have friends that touched down in KL today! We can't wait to get there sometime soon ourselves, it looks incredible! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hey DA Callahan! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment and for the Superthanks... it is virtually impossible for us to express what it means that you have done that. Thank you so much for being with us on this journey for so long! Hope you continue to enjoy as we move forward. Thank you again. Neil & Sarah
So, today my husband and I watched today's episode, and then we went and sat out on our patio with a glass of wine and fed the squirrels- our pets. A few minutes later Don says, "I really enjoy watching those two every week." Yea, me too. We aren't able to do what you are doing but, we love seeing what you are up to every week. Your video wasn't intended for us, but we love it. I'm always amazed at hearing that you have critics. I don't get it. We enjoyed watching the Crocodile hunter even though we wouldn't do it. (May he rest in peace and YES we just compared you two to the Crocodile Hunter!) We enjoy the work that you do every week to let us into the world as you see and experience it because we relate to you. I enjoy hearing about what it takes to do what you do in the practical sense and then what you are experiencing during your travels. What can we say, we are fans. Looking forward to next week.
Hey Debby! Very kind of you to say, this feels a weird situation for us. We follow lots of other RUclips channels and there have been times we have posted comments like this and every time it has felt like a watershed for us the viewers. Taking the time to tell the channel just how important we are to them. This is incredible, it really is. We were making a video at 6am this morning, so Sarah is in bed... I can't wait to read this to her when she gets up! Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Just enjoy you both, especially the directness and immediacy of your videos. Caution about spreading yourself thin with Patreon. I think your subscriber base with grown quickly and soon your channel will make money for you.
Hey Betsy! Very kind of you to say, we really appreciate it and you taking the time to comment. We are going to be careful how we spread the work we do, you are right to give caution. We are taking baby steps we feel. Thank you again. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
"Flexible Travel" I think that's a brilliant way to describe it. Love your insights regarding world travel in general, the people, as well as your advice to not be fearful and to be proactive. You already seem wise being your travel years. Those "rants" are hilarious. Some people are so conditioned to take the typical path that everyone else takes they are just incapable of thinking outside the box. Perhaps they haven't watched your other videos? 😆 BTW, income or not I hope you keep going. Love watching the channel.
Hey Skip! As ever thank you. We are keeping going because it is a strange old thing this RUclips, there are many negatives to it but the positives far outweigh it. The main positive that we know you will understand is, creativity. For example I am currently writing the outline for a video that as I write it, I am getting more and more excited about making it. Being in a position to use our unique voice to share content that some people actually want to watch is incredible. I know you feel the same with your photography. Any viewers reading this, if you want to see travel photography that is on another level, head over to Skips website; www.travelrefocused.com Best regards, Neil & Sarah
@@2GoRoam Thanks so much Neil. I completely understand the need and desire for some kind of creative outlet. You two do have a knack for this. It's great to see your skills improve and the channel evolve.
Hey Mike! Space, it is the final frontier and we try to use that when needed. We know we are very fortunate that we basically rarely argue or get on each others nerves. In fact, the only time that happens is when we are filming our RUclips videos! :-) Best regards, Neil & Sarah
I have a Patreon monthly budget that I use to support creatives like you that I want to see be successful. The accounts change over time as my interests change. Patreon allows for a little more low-stress direct engagement, where you know that you aren't responding to "haters" because these people are giving you money every month.
Hey Erick! We have supported creators in the same way, the first was Kara and Nate a long time ago. We see that they aren't on Patreon any longer. You sum it up perfectly, feels like a safe and positive space. Thanks for getting in touch again Erick. Best wishes Neil & Sarah
Hey 74Drive! Thanks for getting in touch, yes your Aussie dollar will certainly go further here in SE Asia. Hopefully the end to the inflationary pressures will ease in the next couple of years. Our fingers are crossed for that anyway. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hey M H! Thank you for the kind comment, we made a video at 6am this morning so Sarah is in bed catching up on some Z's :-) You'll see Sarah's new haircut on next saturday's video and the secret is, she has multiple photos that she shares with the person cutting and that seems to work. She is really pleased with the cut she got a couple of days ago in Chaing Mai. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hi Neil and Sarah, always good to watch your videos. As you may know from previous comments, I am a seasoned traveler and am now in retirement so it is 6 months plus or minus in my flat in Honolulu, rent it out for 6 months (I wanted to sell the place and move to France but my kids rioted on me!) and off to UK, France and Italy. Living in the US with the most outrageously expensive and frankly often mediocre healthcare system in the world, I relax when I am outside on that front! So yes anybody who wants to come this direction watch out! So definitely geo-arbitrage works very well coming from here (just spent $140 for two salads, three glasses of wine and a bottle of mineral water out with a friend at a swanky restaurant in Seattle). I never eat out in Honolulu - a glass of wine can approach $20 with tip and tax! I figure when someone comes to stay with me for a week and wants to thank me we can do dinner out at their expense. As for the trolls, I have just finished my teaching career (17 years banking plus 17 years teaching at university) what is terrific is your job evaluation is there for the world to see! Rate My Professor. So if someone wants to trash you at even a very personal level, they do. Like what you do with comments, I try to see if there is any objective merit in the negative stuff and also realize that people with bad grades and or chips on their shoulder (your cases of negative folks here) are the ones that are going to go out of their way to comment while those who are enthralled (most of the people who comment here) will also make comments. You are now over 10K subscribers and I think that on its own is an indication of your success and value to your followers. You guys are genuinely entertaining just being your natural selves so keep up the good work and the valuable content! Cheers, Rod
Hey Reg! Really appreciate the comment, firstly we almost cried when you mentioned the cost of the Seattle meal lol. Chiang Mai is, well... slightly more cost effective :-) The subject of the trolls is an interesting one, what I (Neil) have had to do, to help with her mental health, is basically keep Sarah away from the comments. She doesn't need to read that stuff and I will read her ALL the other comments. That is actually working out really well for us, as with me reading her the comments, that means we are discussing them between us and that in turn makes us feel a lot closer to our viewers. I haven't read her this one yet, but when I do... it will go like this... "So we have had a really interesting comment regarding costs and also talking about negative comments....." Sarah will ask "Who", I will say "Reg" and she is likely to think for a second and say "Hawaii?" We enjoy those exchanges a lot. All very cool. Thank you Reg. We really appreciate you and your thoughtful comments. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
I really like you use the proper words: Boot (not truck) Fortnite (not two weeks) Schedule (well, the way you say it - haha) Please don't change. It is very appealing to hear you in regular English - Do you do: breakfast dinner supper? no? what then? I will just listen and find out!! haha. This is a very good vid: it is like being on the sound stage watching rocket launch at mission control. Very enjoyable!!
Hey Tim! Thanks for getting in touch again, we like you being around here. We actually try to make our videos work for all audiences but you are right.... actually, you have given me an idea! I think when we do that, we will translate the Britishism at the bottom of the screen :-) Best regards, Neil & Sarah
@@2GoRoam Haha. Subtitles!! would be great! what is the translation for "Schedule"!! Please keep saying it your way!! I can enjoy your vids, but not as much as someone from UK, with the similarity of aps, banking, culture will have. The more you express your issues, your solutions, the more a UK traveler is going: "Hey! That's what I need!" The thing that I get from you, that no else can do? You sold your Frigkin HOUSE@!! wow. You are both younger than me and you both amaze me with your plan~ (more phones than suitcases!! hahaha)
Hey Stevie! Really appreciate the comment, alas... I tried Topps today and it didn't have it. I am going to try a couple of other places (this is becoming a quest!) Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hey Linda! Very kind of you to say, we really appreciate it and you taking the time to comment. Yep, pharmacist and chemist is interchangeable in the UK but Chemist is probably the best word in the UK.... If you are in the UK and want a pharmacy, ask for the Chemist, that will get you there quicker :-) Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Brilliant! I love your videos and always look forward to watching them on Saturdays. I always learn little bits and bobs from all of them! Ignore the trolls, they are just jealous and have nothing better to do😁
Hey Tracy! Thanks for getting in touch, trolls are a funny bunch aren't they.... most odd. Thank you for taking the time to let us know how much you enjoy what we do. That kind of thing makes this all so worthwhile. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
@@2GoRoam I just need to add that I am so truly happy for you both. This RUclips gig is NOT easy and I know you made light of your numbers but I think that you both should be so proud of yourselves. Getting monitized is not an easy go and I know first hand how much work it takes to make videos. So kudos to you for making it. And $1.76 an hour! WOW! You guys have hit the big time! Lol enjoy your success!!
Absolutely lovely message. Between you and us.... Last year as we formed the channel I remember a conversation where we said "If we earn $1 from this that would be amazing!" and you know what.... it is :-)
Negative opinions seem to come from "unknowing" or jealousy. I occasionally wonder what we are doing, traveling the world but wouldn't have it any other way. If we make a mistake, it is ours to deal with. For us not going and growing old without adventure would be worse than having less money.
Hey Mike & Deb! Really appreciate the comment, yes of course. Well we are all following a path less traveled and I guess that can be difficult for people to fathom. I have always feared being on my deathbed and thinking that I hadn't done the things I dreamed of. Best regards, Neil (& Sarah)
Love this video- you guys are adorable ! I personally disliked Chiang Mai (allergies to some of their herbs in the north), but Bangkok was my home for so many years. If you need any tips on cool local hangouts in Bangkok- let me know !! Slow travel... not very new... I remember when I started nomading in 2016, I spent 3 months in Bucharest - and people called me a slow-mad :) I travel slow due to health issues as well... But it's amazing!! You can really get to know a place. Have you ever been to Bansko? in Bulgaria... It's a great nomadic hub for so many different digital nomads. I have been here since May 2021, I got an EU passport so making residency was super easy. So many Brits in town it's insane ! A lot bought property here and before the official brexit- they got residency for that. Bulgaria in general can be awesome to travel to, and as it's not schengen, you get 90 days visa separate from Schengen zone. RUclips is so different when it comes to a niche... i make a lot more per ad view on my channel as it's about making money online... However, there are more ways for you to monetize your journey... For example- selling stock footage on sites like Pond5, or start print on demand for photography from around the world. just an idea
Hey Paul! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! I use Davinci Resolve and couldn't recommend it highly enough. What made me choose that software specifically was that there are two versions, Free and Studio. The free version is absolutely feature packed so I used that for a good amount of time before opting for the Studio version and the nice thing about Studio is that it's a one off charge and you're done. Think it was just less than £300 for the full version. Recommend that if you are interested in checking it out, have a look on RUclips at what people are saying about version 18 which is currently in Public Beta. I don't tend to make predictions but when I will this time... I think that version 18 will make Davinci become a bit of a Final Cut or Adobe killer! If you want any more info, just ask... I am a geek for this stuff and can chat all day long about it. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Hey Aura! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! Absolutely, we really look forward to sharing all that and hope you love it when you see it. Thank you so much for finding us on Patreon, we won't let you down. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Thanks so much for your views and information. Being a retired nomad couple, we spend about 8-10 months on the road outside of the U.S, we have been on the road for more than 6 years now. We spend the rest of the time back in the US visiting children, doing medical checkups, tax processes, etc, and just making sure our lives are easily maintainable while overseas We house sit when we either need some downtime or when we want to ease our financial footprint. (Covid did see us house sitting in the US for a solid year....it made our next trip financially a breeze.) Being blessed and able to live off of our pension, our savings are untouched. We will travel to Spain for a month, South Africa (our third visit in as many years) for 3 months, and Zambia 3 months and then we are open. We hope to travel until we are physically unable to and find that you have a realistic view and plan in place and enjoy your ability to be honest in your videos and flexible. We certainly will look for you while we are on the road and hope that we will meet up one day. Thank you so much for sharing your videos, we love them!
Editing is torture! And yes, the cost of the equipment and software a lot! I think RUclips is a terrible “side gig” or “side hustle” if you’re looking to make money. There are much better ways to earn a buck, especially on a per hour basis! However, if you’re like you or me and have a passion for something, it’s a great way to share that with others and have a creative outlet 😉.
Hey Adrian!!!! We didn't spot this when we were out! OMG! You are the first person to have given us a superthanks! That is absolutely incredible and we are a bit humbled! Thank you more than the money itself. If you were here now, we would spend it on taking you out for a beer! Cheers! Neil & Sarah
I absolutely think you should open a Patreon account. You provide lots of great information and I would definitely be a supporter. Erin agrees even if she calls it Patriot🙀.
Hey RL! Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment as usual. Erin is most welcome to call it Patriot but we are not a country she is following, just advise her of that. :-) That is cool. We have put the patreon page live and we'll talk about it more in future too. Best regards, Neil & Sarah
Another great video, guys! BRANSTON PICKLE - It can be bought at Tesco Lotus now called Lotus's. A lot of UK products because of the Ex Pat connection. I was amazed in 2013 when I visited Thailand for the first time to see the name Tesco. I moved here in 2015, and just love it. As imported food is expensive, it's for a birthday, Christmas or anniversary treat only. I have the jar on my desk as a pen holder. SECURITY - I have been more worried parking my car in Manchester, than 6 years living in China! BOOTS - Boots is very expensive in Thailand but does have some rarer drugs. Boots is actually owned by Wallgreens a U.S. company. AIR BNB - Many landlords are desperate for income. In Thailand residential condos are restricted by law from using Air BNB, but landlords will still break the law, hoping not to get caught! NEGS - There will be lots of negative and stupid people in the world. This video series IS for me! Best wishes from Bangkok
We really hope you have enjoyed this weeks video. If in the unlikely event you would be interested to see our Patreon Page, you will find it over here:

Done! Looking forward to it!
Hey Joanne! You are wonderful and amazing. How cool that you have been on this journey with us from way back last year!
It’s about time! 😄
Hey Deesiee!
Haha that is very kind of you to say and really cool of you to be on board at Patreon!
Hey Erin!
Lovely of you to say, thank you! We aren't expecting anyone to sign up though lol.
Best wishes
Neil & Sarah
We lived out of a backpack for 2 years, posting on FB when you look back you see the same T-shirts shorts etc etc. So when we got to Thailand we bought all new items. Enjoy your trip.
Hey RLTD!
Really appreciate the comment, funny... I wore a grey T Shirt yesterday (in fact it is the one you will see in Next saturday's video). Sarah said "That looks nice on you." My reaction.... "Do you think I should just go buy another 6 of these and have done with it?"
Sarah drew the line there...
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Great video - ignore the haters, they are just jealous of your fabulous lifestyle. Long may it continue.
We hope you love our channel way into the future :-)
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah

South African here. Lived in the UK for a few years when I was younger and really love your channel. Glad you guys enjoy SA!
Hey Vedette!
Thank you for the kind comment, hope you enjoy our content as we go forward! Yes it truly is a wonderful country and I (Neil) have learnt a lot through my experiences there. Loved Jo'berg and Cape Town and so much more to see.

Thank you for taking us on your travels!!!

Well done and well said especially your final words- go and live your own intentional life. We are still watching you and others on RUclips for info and entertainment but we need to get out there and "live it" while we still have health and energy and oomph! Thank you.
Hey Alegna!
Absolutely, all we want to do is inspire others to get out there into the world.
Hope you are well.

Best regards,

Best regards,

I love the Q&A videos! The first question out of the gate was one that I've often wondered about. It's good to know that your appetite for travel only grows. While on vacations I've often thought to myself, "would I get tired of this eventually?" Great content guys!
Hey Mel!
Thanks as ever. It absolutely is the most wonderful experience of our lives. Loving every minute 😃❤️

A useful Q&A it is like taking a class what I am going to do next thank both for helping all others in the time of your relaxing looking forward to more videos and I do share to my friends thanks again keep good work going
Your delivery is so good, well done!!! We can't wait to see your Thailand videos.
Cheers!!!
Check out your explosive growth!!! Congratulations to you both! All your hard work is paying off. ❤️
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
So interesting that you have reduced the luggage you carry. I remember thinking as I watched early video if you would trim down but sound like you have dropped more than half! An updated what you pack in your bags would be super. They are very popular. Your lessons of what you really need and likely have found many trick of nomadic like. Great fun
Hey MJBALM!
Thank you, we may make that video soon. It feels great to travel with a lot less these days.

Love what you guys are doing.Planning to do some slow travel as well. Great to hear you love our country!
Hey Theo!
Thank you, that sounds really cool. Appreciate you getting in touch. Reading your surname, guessing you are referring to SA? Yes we love it!

Great vlog guys. We were disappointed though. We were hoping you would tell the dislikers, if you don't like us, then just f off. X
The story about the hole in the ground reminded me. It’s their country and you ain’t changing it. Your just visiting. After living in Korea, Philippines, and Japan with the military. You learn to adapt or go crazy. Like you clips great advice.
FROM Cape Town South Africa. one of the best places in the world.

Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
@@2GoRoam Tom Yum Goong soup. I wasn’t very specific before. That’s the one you want. Thank me later 😂
Congrats on your life style, travelling and discovering different countries sounds very nice!!!
Hey Pierre!
Very kind of you to say, we really appreciate it and you taking the time to comment.
Best regards,

Been following you from the start. Love your work, keep it up.
Ignore the trolls!
Hey Kerry!
Brilliant, thanks for getting in touch. Appreciate your positivity, pleased you like what we are doing 👍

Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Just love you both! Was lucky enough to happen across your fist ever video when you first put it up and I have been hooked ever since! Love the way you travel, your transparency and the way you are together! Two years left for my Hubble and I and your videos are inspirational and invaluable! Thank you thank you thank you! X
I Think you are doing great. You are Living out my Dream. Thank you for sharing
Thank you for all the input!! Always looking forward for your videos. 🥰
Hey Heidi!
And likewise, we always look forward to your comments, you are such a cool person and we love that!
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Stumbled on this channel, thank you so much! Subscribed!
Very informative and interesting video. Thank you for sharing. Love the idea of slow travel. I can understand the video editing time requirement. What kind of cameras do you use besides your iPhone?
Hey Mike!
Thanks for getting in touch, yes, video editing... phew that can be a job sometimes. We rarely use our phones in fact, we only do that if we see something spectacular on a day that we aren't filming and then we pull out our phone to capture. The main reason we don't use the phone is that the Frame Rate on there doesn't match all the rest of our captured content which means it can look juddery in the edit. So apart from that we use;
- GoPro Hero 9
- Insta360 Go 2
- DJI Pocket
- Insta360 One X2
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Always a pleasure watching your videos and learning about your travels.
Great to listen to a fellow Englishmen talking common Sense without any BS! I sent you an email this morning I really think my idea proposal would help you along with your finances. It has certainly worked for us. Ian
Hi from South Africa. Love your videos. Learning so much.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Branston pickle is the boss! So yummy. Love getting the small chunk here in England 😉.
Cheers! Dara
GO FOR IT!
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Thanks for the honest look into the costs of RUclips! So grateful you both enjoy it since it clearly is not going to allow you to pay for The Ritz anytime soon! ;)
Hey Ashley!
Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment as ever. Well we have earned enough to eat Ritz crackers and we love those so we are doing great :-)
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Hope that helps 👍
Best wishes
Neil & Sarah
I love the focus on living an intentional life!
Hey Justine!
Thanks for getting in touch, that is so cool! Thank you for letting us know, it just feels so right to us. Everything we talk about between us and that we share on the channel really comes down to not leaving things to chance. Planning and structuring has helped us so much over the years.
Thank you again!
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Love the video. You two are amazing. Can't wait to go on this journey with you guys for 10 years. Sorry 9 years left. 😂
Hey Dan!
Thank you for the kind comment, hope you enjoy our content as we go forward! You are most welcome here.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Hello just wanted to say great job on the videos..this type of travel interests my wife and I..I am sure we will do a version of it very soon . Will be retiring at 57 years old 267 days but who is counting 😃 . I have a number of questions but I will catch up with past videos before I ask them . I recently hit my 20th country visited. And we are planning a SE Asia trip in 2025 maybe our paths will cross
Thanks again
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Best regards,
Neil (& Sarah)
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
You guys are simply awesome. Love watching your videos. You are looking great. Please stay happy, healthy and fit. Best wishes. 🙏👏❤️😀👏
Hey Mohammed!
Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a comment! That is so cool of you to say and we really appreciate you getting in touch. We know it takes time to comment. We really appreciate you being here with us.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
As usual, enlightening! I do like these Q&A videos. I hope you do a live chat at some point!
Bravo guys 🤗 Live your lives and do what makes you happy. 👏
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Go to Croatia and Slovenia and report back. It's super beautiful but I would LOVE your feedback. ❤
We will! We have been to Croatia many years ago and loved it. We will get there again, don't you worry :-)
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Hi, Neil and Sarah. Hope you can make it to Malaysia soon.
Hey Mohd!
Thanks for getting in touch, we have friends that touched down in KL today! We can't wait to get there sometime soon ourselves, it looks incredible!
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
You should definitely live your best life-ignore the trolls!
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Another exceptional video guys
Just enjoy you both, especially the directness and immediacy of your videos. Caution about spreading yourself thin with Patreon. I think your subscriber base with grown quickly and soon your channel will make money for you.
Hey Betsy!
Very kind of you to say, we really appreciate it and you taking the time to comment. We are going to be careful how we spread the work we do, you are right to give caution. We are taking baby steps we feel.
Thank you again.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Any viewers reading this, if you want to see travel photography that is on another level, head over to Skips website; www.travelrefocused.com
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
@@2GoRoam Thanks so much Neil. I completely understand the need and desire for some kind of creative outlet. You two do have a knack for this. It's great to see your skills improve and the channel evolve.
What do you do when you have a fight or when you start to get on each other's nerves?
Hey Mike!
Space, it is the final frontier and we try to use that when needed. We know we are very fortunate that we basically rarely argue or get on each others nerves. In fact, the only time that happens is when we are filming our RUclips videos! :-)
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
I have a Patreon monthly budget that I use to support creatives like you that I want to see be successful. The accounts change over time as my interests change. Patreon allows for a little more low-stress direct engagement, where you know that you aren't responding to "haters" because these people are giving you money every month.
Hey Erick!
We have supported creators in the same way, the first was Kara and Nate a long time ago. We see that they aren't on Patreon any longer.
You sum it up perfectly, feels like a safe and positive space.
Thanks for getting in touch again Erick.
Best wishes
Neil & Sarah
Fantastic video once again!
Great video. Thanks!
Hey Diane!
Really appreciate the comment, we know it takes time to drop a comment.

💹💰 Inflation in Australia is getting out of control. But yhe pension is still the same. So South-East Asia is looking better and better.
Hey 74Drive!
Thanks for getting in touch, yes your Aussie dollar will certainly go further here in SE Asia. Hopefully the end to the inflationary pressures will ease in the next couple of years. Our fingers are crossed for that anyway.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Hello Sarah!
I really like your haircut and the color 🤩, how do you maintain it during travels?♥️
Hey M H!
Thank you for the kind comment, we made a video at 6am this morning so Sarah is in bed catching up on some Z's :-)
You'll see Sarah's new haircut on next saturday's video and the secret is, she has multiple photos that she shares with the person cutting and that seems to work. She is really pleased with the cut she got a couple of days ago in Chaing Mai.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
I think good for you! From USA.
Hey Penny!
Very kind of you to say, we really appreciate it and you taking the time to comment. Great having you here.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Chiang Mai is, well... slightly more cost effective :-)
The subject of the trolls is an interesting one, what I (Neil) have had to do, to help with her mental health, is basically keep Sarah away from the comments.
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
I think when we do that, we will translate the Britishism at the bottom of the screen :-)
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
@@2GoRoam Haha. Subtitles!! would be great! what is the translation for "Schedule"!! Please keep saying it your way!! I can enjoy your vids, but not as much as someone from UK, with the similarity of aps, banking, culture will have. The more you express your issues, your solutions, the more a UK traveler is going: "Hey! That's what I need!" The thing that I get from you, that no else can do? You sold your Frigkin HOUSE@!! wow. You are both younger than me and you both amaze me with your plan~ (more phones than suitcases!! hahaha)
If you find a Topps supermarket in Chiang Mai, you will find Branson pickle 💗🇹🇭
Hey Stevie!
Really appreciate the comment, alas... I tried Topps today and it didn't have it. I am going to try a couple of other places (this is becoming a quest!)
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Thank you for your very informative video. When Sarah mentions chemist, is that also known as a pharmacist?
Hey Linda!
Very kind of you to say, we really appreciate it and you taking the time to comment. Yep, pharmacist and chemist is interchangeable in the UK but Chemist is probably the best word in the UK.... If you are in the UK and want a pharmacy, ask for the Chemist, that will get you there quicker :-)
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah
@@2GoRoam I just need to add that I am so truly happy for you both. This RUclips gig is NOT easy and I know you made light of your numbers but I think that you both should be so proud of yourselves. Getting monitized is not an easy go and I know first hand how much work it takes to make videos. So kudos to you for making it. And $1.76 an hour! WOW! You guys have hit the big time! Lol enjoy your success!!
Absolutely lovely message. Between you and us.... Last year as we formed the channel I remember a conversation where we said "If we earn $1 from this that would be amazing!" and you know what.... it is :-)
Yes to Patreon channel please!
Great stuff guys, very informative 😎👍🏻
Hey Phil!
Very kind of you to say, we really appreciate it and you taking the time to comment.

Neil & Sarah
Negative opinions seem to come from "unknowing" or jealousy. I occasionally wonder what we are doing, traveling the world but wouldn't have it any other way. If we make a mistake, it is ours to deal with. For us not going and growing old without adventure would be worse than having less money.
Hey Mike & Deb!
Really appreciate the comment, yes of course. Well we are all following a path less traveled and I guess that can be difficult for people to fathom. I have always feared being on my deathbed and thinking that I hadn't done the things I dreamed of.
Best regards,
Neil (& Sarah)
Love this video- you guys are adorable !
I personally disliked Chiang Mai (allergies to some of their herbs in the north), but Bangkok was my home for so many years. If you need any tips on cool local hangouts in Bangkok- let me know !!
Slow travel... not very new... I remember when I started nomading in 2016, I spent 3 months in Bucharest - and people called me a slow-mad :)
I travel slow due to health issues as well...
For example- selling stock footage on sites like Pond5, or start print on demand for photography from around the world. just an idea
also, a small tip... some of your links on the descriptions don't contain so they are not clickable, mind you that can affect affiliate commission :)
Love your videos! Curious what editing software you use and why?
Best regards,
Neil & Sarah

Great content!
Hey Annette!
Thank you for the kind comment as usual. Hope we get to meet sometime soon!!!!

That is cool. We have put the patreon page live and we'll talk about it more in future too.

Yep I made an old lady typo resulting in the unintended auto correct. 😂😂😂
Haha and Reluctant Lawyer won't let you forget it :-) Haha Brilliant.
Boots is actually owned by Wallgreens a U.S. company.
