I like your selections. The cover you chose is very pretty. The a5 is a wonderful size and if you carry a large enough bag you can tote it around. I had to move into the a6 for 2024 for portability and went crazy buying multiple covers. I ended up buying 6 total covers 😬. Did you know that Franklin covey has a booklet made with TR paper just like hobonichi but it’s only available on Amazon Japan. It’s a booklet style so that may be another option for you if the hobo doesn’t work out.
I'm gonna take it one day at a time as far as carrying my a5 with me. I do carry a fairly large bag most of the time, so we will see. The a6 is such a great size though, I hope you love it!
I have used FC since 1991 through early 2000s when I lived in the US. However, it was hard to get here in the EU, so I been shopping around with companies that ship here. I tried Passion Planner, but it was too big and bulky. I picked it up when I was in the states the first year I tried in 2018. Found Hobonichi and Jibun Techo (JT) from Jet Pens, and been addicted to Hobonichi since. I love the JT but you have to buy two sets of books, where the cousin has it all in one.Thanks for showing your haul.

I've never looked at the Jibun Techo, is it separate like the hobonichi avec is? Like, divided into half year books?
