Excellent video. Athough I was a bit confused on the last ratio. My triglycerides were 89 and my HDL was 56 on my last blood test.... for a ratio of 1.58. I was told it should be below 1.5 to be in optimum metabolic balance. I've also read numerous times that total cholesterol is meaningless, but maybe that's not true after all.
You are a legend. That is how ALL teaching should be done- conceptual and from ground up. Very few people aspire to that level these days. The other guy who does it this way is Dr Najeeb from Pakistan.
After lifestyle changes, how soon would changes be reflected in the next lipid panel? My last test (4 months ago) was during a bad RA flare, and all the numbers were off from the inflamation. I have increased my HIT/ lifting/ cardio and hope to see changes, I order my own labs as needed, when should I retest?
Dude can you help me clarify something. In type 1 hyperlipidaemia in Frederickson classification it is mentioned that only Chylomicrons are incresed due to LPL defect or APO CII defeciency. However it seems so illogical to me that VLDL aren't incresed as well, what am i missing ?
would you mind telling me answers for below questions; 1- what is the exact formula to calculate Triglyceride? 2- what is the exact formula to calculate HDL? 3- what is the exact formula to calculate LDL? Thank You!
