Arrowstotle I know. I mean, the dark really the only effect they could’ve reused for the underwater theme aside from the flipped screen but still, they could’ve done something new. Like, Imagine if they made it so that pits dragged you downward like in the original super Mario bros. That would’ve been so cool.

Something neat i just figured out, if you max out both the sprite limit for a section, and also max out on one-ways (you can hide them behind ground or under lava), a bullet blaster won't shoot anything if it shoots out a sprite (such as bullets, or you can put a muncher inside the cannon)
I made a tank armada level with a twist, you see the tanks seem to be normal, until it calls on air support! On this level you take on both a tank brigade and the airship of bowser!

Actually I’m making a train level where cats are trying to stop Mario or one of the others from reaching the front of the train. This video really helped improve the look of the train and I love the idea of going inside and seeing stuff that you couldn’t see from the outside.
Hey Arrowstotle! I am so happy that I found this channel, and I liked and subscribed for all this SMM2 content. I am making a level that is a combination of #5 and #8, a spooky ghost train!
What I like to do in my super World, is have the castle level's main area... a castle, but at the end, you go up a pipe, land on the top edge of the castle, board the Koopaling's Airship, go through a couple of challenges on the Airship, and then battle the Koopaling boss. Once you beat the Koopaling, you jump off the airship, back onto the castle, go down a pipe into the castle, and then you'll land right next to the axe, with the Koopaling you just beat being held by a claw inside a small area enclosed by hard blocks, and then you knock the axe down, and the Koopaling falls into the lava. Oh and, in the outer space overworld map, I make both areas in the level nighttime.
The one with the train is really good. I will try to make a level using this idea but i have mario maker for 3ds so it will be more difficult. Also i prefer the nsmbu style
That’s funny because when you said Mario needs to catch a train to get to the mushroom kingdom, it’s related to my smm2 story on world 7 where he needs to get back to the mushroom kingdom

Anyone ever notice that, based on the clouds in the background, the airship always seems to move towards the RIGHT of the screen, yet practically every time I see someone put elements to allude to movement, such as burners, it is in the opposite direction, which looks really weird. They really should give the builder the option to CHOOSE the direction of the clouds on this theme

I have another idea: During his adventure to rescue the princess, Mario finds a rocket ship with an SMB2 mushroom on a track next to it. He devours the mushroom and gets on the rocket. Eventually, the rocket lands on another planet. When he gets off, he realizes that evil alien moles are trying to kill him. With his Super Mario Bros 2 abilities, Mario must stand on a mole, pick it up, and throw it. Once he throws it, he must jump back onto it and then he must jump off of it and onto the ground above at the perfect time. If he stays on the mole for too long, then the mole will fall into the abyss, and Mario will go with the mole. During the level, Mario will also be attacked by mechakoopas. The blue ones shoot lasers, and the red ones shoot homing missiles that explode after a short period of time. At the end, he will encounter the mad scientist Boom Boom. In this boss fight, there will be pipes that generate blue and red mechakoopas. There will also be on and off switches at the top corners of the arena. In order to hit the switches, Mario will have to jump off of a missile shot by a red mechakoopa or be quick enough to hit the switch without bumping his head on the ceiling. Once he hits the switch a total of three times, a muncher will crush Boom Boom, and Mario can go back to his own planet and continue his quest to save the princess.
I have another idea: An airship has crash-landed and has been abandoned ever since. The only things left are the souls of the crew. I think you can expand this idea
I love creating courses on airship to actually create airships. However one bit of advice, don’t us 3-d world it would be better for disco if you ask me.

Something I like to do when making Airship stages is to use the Castle theme as a sub area to make it look like you're inside the Airship

5:32 if only we could also make trains that look like this in the 3D world airship theme; that theme is actually used for train levels
I think airships are the hardest type of level to make well so I appreciate the video.
They are tough! I think underwater are the hardest to make good levels.

That gives me an idea. If mario maker 3 has mountain theme, then maybe when it's night Mario has low gravity but not the items or enemies.

For Idea 3, If you choose the Normal or Fast Autoscroll, you can just use Blasters on top of conveyer belts for the same illusion.
And is surprisingly works better like that, atleast for me
