I was privileged to attend their concert last year, and they are absolutely amazing live. After I first heard Blessed Be back in 2020 I've appreciated the pure instrumental mastery of their music and of course Courtney's vocals and harsh vocals. What you hear here is how they sound live.

Nice to see you check out Spiritbox. If you really want to hear what Courtney can do, I'd highly recommend you check out her one take vocal performance of Circle With Me. It really shows one of the most unique things about her voice: Her ability to let some true vocal fold phonation into her harsh vocals when she wants to, as well as being able to flip back and forth instantly between full harsh and full clean.

Have you checked out her live one takes? She doesn't need any tricks on the vocals (though, they do sometimes harmonize her vocals). She can essentially pull off the album vocals live. Hell, I'd argue her live one takes are better than they are on the album because she throws in more power. But I think they use the bass player's vocals as backup on this (and any new songs). As for the harsh underneath her clean, they actually do that live but she screams and the bass player sings it clean.
I don’t doubt it, recording and live are different art forms. Using production techniques is not a way to “hide” artists flaws, it’s literally just another medium for expressivity 😌
I’ll be looking forward to hear what they sound like live too!

That's a good idea, I'll keep it in mind! :D I don't know if I could pull that off though with just harp and voice. There's so much going on there!
@@ElvannReacts to make it a bit easier i would concentrate on just the music and maybe find another harpist with another harp to fill in the parts where one instrument isnt enough...just a suggestion
