You really can't understand the concept of caring for literal children? Many celebrities that became famous at a young age have spoken up about how horrible and abusive it was, there's a reason why there's this idea of 'celebrity age' where they stop aging mentally at a normal rate when they become famous...
Of course people can both want to be famous themselves AND condemn exposing minors to an extremely toxic, harmful industry.

the only thing im "jealous" of is that she got in without having to do very much just yet, other than that we do not care that we are not being used like that at that age for the perversion of older men which is who would be following such a group lbr otherwise they never seem to promote kid friendly groups for kids do they?

You’re the only one who is speaking up, they should only debut people at the very least half way through 17 about to be 18 but in my humble opinion the least should be 18-19, or even 20. the fact that people are creepy and call them s**y and saying they have a crush (these are grown people btw) on these GIRLS, like for example baby monster or new jeans, they have minors as well as other groups like come on now THAT IS DISGUSTING THEY ARE CHILDREN. The parents and the company are to blame because why are you as the parent letting your child participate in this, I understand they have dreams but encourage them to go to school, get an education, graduate then decide if they want this dream, Why are the companies as grown adults allowing minors to audition and debut, I mean that’s very obvious why and it’s truly baffling and gross. Why are people not saying anything why are they acting like it’s soooo amazing? 🙄 overall I don’t think minors should be anywhere near kpop I don’t understand the issue with debuting just adults blackpink did it, if I’m not wrong G(idle) did it, I think aespa did it? I agree with everything you've said... and debuting 12 year olds is as much of a problem as 12 year olds training rigorously at the companies instead of going to school. So what if that 12 year old child debuts at 18. That doesn't make the "minor" problem less in kpop. I wish there was a system where there is a limit on the age requirement for becoming a trainee. At minimum the kid should be 15-16 while training and 18 while debuting. Because they're literally trading their youth, freedom and happiness to be in constant public scrutiny and despite how passionate someone is, it makes no sense to give up their childhood and early teens for kpop. They should be made aware that aside from the glitz of kpop, there is a dark, exploitative and predatory side to it... even young/older adults of the industry (with good managers, possibly having therapists by their side too) cannot take it sometimes, so how can anyone expect literal children to thrive in that sort of environment? I think it should be a universal common sense that kids joining in any kind of entertainment industry with a history of toxicity is NOT okay.

not anymore its not but boa was like 12 or smth when she started. the issue is if they debut young they aint fully grown in their skills especially if they arent being encouraged to improve and i think some definitely try to um get preferential treatments like they are rich for example gives them a leg up in being chosen or if they have connections to an agency or a sibling thats an idol. i dont think it gives them enough training time anymore and nowadays theyre rushing these undercooked idols or giving some idols special treatments to debut even if they have awful vocals or lack in something. i just dont get how their standards got so low in the first place, can name several idols who defo need the extra practice even if they been doing it for years and years. yet debuting them so young is robbing them off the chance to train without the pressure to debut young and then to say 18 is now too old to debut is fucked up too like what about someone my age who would handle it more maturely?

Just because this is what you think you will experience doesn't mean that this actually happens all the time. All of this is more of the faults of the fans and not the industry. There have been so many generations of teenage musicians. Look in J-pop, boy bands in the US (New Kids on the Block, Backstreet Boys, N'Sync), and around the world. This isnt' something that you've discovered. With the fans, they're the ones who keep demanding these things. Maybe stop demanding certain themes and styles and stop asking them to do fan videos and fan calls. You also act as if these teens are absolutely forced to audition, train, and debut for these companies. The minors that debut outshine all of their older trainees and the other trainees that are their age. These trainees have shown that they can handle these things. These kids are the NFL players of their peers. Stop thinking that all teens are so fragile and soft.

It’s not even about them being soft and all. Children should never be put in the spotlight especially knowing the kind of world we live in. If you’ve watched videos or seen interviews of people who grew up as child stars….you’d actually understand what I’m saying.

@@rosalinescrib8011 I've seen all the interviews from Corey Feldman and many of the Nickelodeon and Disney stars......but I've also seen talents like Janet Jackson and New Kids on the Block and New Edition and Debbie Gibson and Melissa Joan Hart who have a different story. You know you could also be talking about the adults who can fit all the criteria you're talking about. Not every teen is the same and many of them can handle it. There are multiple idols in Japan who have been in groups since they were tweens/teens and now have a great life, are married and have children. And their expectations can be more stringent than what is expected in k-pop. Also, it's kind of insulting to think that these teens aren't getting a good education when there are actual schools for entertainers and they don't just pass them. You're kinda implying that they're not smart or will not be smart. You also know that they can walk away when they want to. After their contracts are up, they can be completely done with the industry. And people who audition for these companies have a drive in them that can't be explained to others who have never had a true passion for something. They will see it to fruition. Are there a few issues? Of course. Do fans go overboard with their speculations? Always. And that's what this is for the most part.....pure speculation.
