I feel so bad for these people. I was in a terrible storm just like this one. I had 35 trees fall around my area and i had PTSD for a while afterwards. If i heard a tree creak my skin would freeze and i would feel that fear. Its unlike anything ive ever experienced.😮

I had this happen to me in Eugene a few years ago. It is the main thing that motivated me to leave the big trees. I had 80 acres of 60 to 80 foot doug firs on Spencer Butte falling and breaking branches that sound just like rifle shots. Terrifying. One fell across the front doorway and blocked the exit completely. The power was out for a week and it was 15 degrees outside just like this time. Scary as heck. I'll never live in the big trees again.

Mother Nature is no joke! I’ve been in California for many years now. Still miss Oregon but lived in Mojave Desert 4 years b4 moving to new house. I am always prepared for Mother Nature to shake things up. Even thru Mount St Helen’s eruption, hurricane in Portland, floods, Northridge earthquake, forest fire in S.Carolina, etc. most frightening was having Mojave Green rattle snake curl at my feet with my 3 big dogs keeping it away. Gotta love dogs….They’ll die to save you. Stay safe in this cold, be ready for whatever hits. God bless you all.

I lived & grew up in Portland from age 7 to 18. Went to school in Oswego. We were always ready to emergencies bcuz we had tons of camping equipment that we used. A fireplace & sleeping bags on floor & furniture. Our house had a sloped driveway to the garage that we would water down in winter to sled down on cardboard. My dad never panicked. Camp stoves we’re in the garage & only 1 tree that is still standing.

She doesn’t sound like these other stepford reporters that all talk the same, with the same tonality and cadence which is so incredibly annoying that I can’t even watch them. My heart goes out to these communities that are devastated by these storms, it will no doubt take a while to get their lives back together. 🦋🌻❤️
