The D and A string, not the G 😬
Right
I was about to correct that.
I m pretty drunk right now ....and took me almost 1 minute to figure out what s wrong with the g string.🙆🙆😴😴🤷
The g and d is actually a better pitch though
D and G, no?

To more accurately play For Whom the Bell Tolls or Hells Bells ig
i don't own a guitar,
now tell me how do i turn my bell into a guitar
Step one, add metal frets to the bell
Step two, pick the bell with a guitar pick
Step three, run the audio through an amp simulator
Anything can sound like a guitar if you run it through a guitar amp ✔️
Follow the video, but add the following steps:
Work for 200+ hours to be able to afford a cheap Gibson
Purchase the cheap Gibson
Then follow the video
Then cry because the headstock broke again
Let’s talk seriously now: Good bells are made of what is called bell bronze (an alloy of several metals, look it up). If you have such a bell, preferably large, you can sell it for a very nice price, which will allow you to buy a decent guitar + amp

Also works with the E and B strings, and use your finger to cross the E over the B at the 12th fret. This version (E and B at 12th) sounds more like a ship’s line clanging into the metal mast.
I'm screaming at the idea of twisting my strings. Don't do this unless you just don't care.
Only permitted to do this to an electric guitar 😂
@That one Wookiee cause why not. You can replace strings and the point of playing guitar is to make cool noises. So why not make them interesting too?
@@dev-pl6fq but this would also cause cross friction on the nut (and bridge if it's not electric) and tension on the tuning pegs in addition to tension on the strings. probably fine to try a couple times but to practice/use this technique a lot idk, seems like unnecessary wear and tear.
@@sma4827 fair, I wouldn't personally do this much but if someone else was doing it to make a cool song I would be all for it. I mean finding new sounds is half the fun of playing an instrument.
@@sma4827
Bruh, guitar strings are ten bucks or fifteen bucks. The guitar is built for tension. Your neck has tension on it all the time as does the nut and the tuners… especially the tuners.
I mean… I’m not gonna do this because it’s kind of a gimmick sound and not all that useful but it could be fun for a few notes.
But some of you guys are so scared of breaking some strings that I can’t see how you possibly even play the guitar. It’s meant to be played. Guitars get beat up. Don’t be scared to get in there!

Yes over 40 years ago also
I think he just rolls the low strings off the edge of the fretboard for that intro.
That's right. And he also does it in a mid 70s UFO song, it can be heard on the background. I can't remember the name of the song, if I do I'll update my comment. He was truly ahead of his time.

Good for playing *“For Whom The Bell Tolls”*
As the other thousand people before you have said
Old school trick I learned in the 60s is to just cross the d over a with my pick hand an just hold it down at fret 7 and tap with pick hand to simulate a snare drum. I have seen others do this as well.
Also move the pick up and down the neck and you can get bells of all different pitches too.

this is a great tip for cover "For whom the bell tolls"
I remember Michael Schenker bending 3 strings at the same time, to get a bell sound.
That's how he did the bell sounds, in the beginning of Save Yourself.
There’s one essential step missing which is that he appears to be resting his fingers on the pick, one on each side of the twisted strings
I can’t believe Eddie really has a strong mindset to make that moment into like a scary memory he now has
and then comes the riff from the song for whom the bell tolls plz tell i wasnt the only one waiting for the drums...
Hells Bells started immediately playing in my head lol
That thing is gorgeous
What guitar is that? It is beautiful!
It's a Flying V guitar.
Well there is another method. You need to "spread" two strings above the pickups (or 7th fret. Try different positions) with small (~1,5cm) piece of match or toothpick. There you go.
Don't try this if you use really thick strings. Launched my favorite pick into the next dimension.
That V is sick. I’m convinced he made this short mainly to flex that custom V. I don’t blame him lol.
I came up with his myself happy to see someone else use it
Great tip. Will be very handy mid song.
