This tells me you’re thinking about CQB correctly and practically. It SHOULD scare you. But that’s why we train dry, live, and force on force. You must inoculated yourself to stress as much as possible.
Shoot/kill houses are just there to reinforce me that even if the pros are doing everything right, some scared dude in the corner can still light your ass up. I am not a pro. I will hide under my bed with my rifle. lmao
CQC is the most dangerous thing you can do. It's avoided at all costs until the mission dictates it. And when it does, you can be the most trained the most disciplined soldier, just one stray bullet through a wall or from a disoriented person and you're dead. Even when you do everything right, a scared dude in the corner could still wipe the floor with a stack of trained disciplined dudes.
The most important thing to remember in CQB is that if you have less than 30% casualties, you are doing well. The next most important thing to remember is that absolutely nothing ever happens like in a kill house.
Another important thing about CQB is get your ass in there nuts to butt with your buddy so he’s not in there by himself. In layman’s terms always go opposite man of you and get in the room essentially same time the guy in front of you does to show overwhelming force, clear your pints of dom and don’t drive the train too fast
Great video and great instructions. The instructor clearly knows this subject and has the ability to clearly convey the knowledge. His attitude earns high respect.
Thank you. I practiced clearing my house with rifle and pistol yesterday! Plus reloads and some transitions. Of course without putting a hole in anything.
Definately an importance for being on line. But that sorta goes out the window in a cqb environment. Angles become more paramount. Sometimes you WILL HAVE TO shoot past your team mates. Having a working non verbal communication is essential. Its nothing but terrible if it goes wrong and just a necessity when it goes right.
Super dope. One question though. That last target, the angle seemed like it could put rounds through the wall and back into the hallway. Is there a better approach for a better angle or am I disoriented?

When j hooking tuck your rifle underneath your arm. It keeps your muzzle down range, you have stability still with your arm and you can put rounds down range.
