Beautiful home. Would love that builder to build me a home closer to Dallas. So what is real cost of home plus lot? Obviously u can't buy the home without buying the lot. So purchase price of home is deceiving unless u include lot prices.

I saw the house and then asked my builder in Bay Area to build me the same for $380 K and after 2 years of designing and careful material selection, I am happy to announce I finally got my brand new closet in sfo for the same price

The builder might build it for you for around $400k in the bay area, with all the red tape, but the lot is separate and here it was $70k, in the bay area it would be over 1 million. The majority of the cost is not construction, but the land it sits on.

@Craig Daniels I totally agree, I'm 60 and newly retired with about 1.2 million outside retirement funds, no debt, and very small dollars in retirement funds compared to my portfolio balance over the past 3 years till date. tbh, the role of the investment advisor can only be overlooked, not denied. just have to do your research in finding a reputable one.

Beautiful home, looks like a split Floorplan with Master suite opposite from secondary bedrooms. 3 full baths at 2390 Sq feet. Love that curved radius sitting area in the master with the pendant lamp.

I cannot believe this house is 300k in Cali this would be 1.5 million all day. Absolutely stunning… sometimes I can’t believe I’m still struggling when I all I’d need to do is move.
I live about an hour away from London and even where i am a small apartment costs £450,000 pounds thats about $570,000 dollars for a two bedroom apartment. I can’t believe a property like this can be this cheap!

The prayer closet idea was very cool. I would see if i could make it slightly bigger it could also double as a studio to record in if you’re in media. A mini hidden studio.

We, up in Ontario, Canada (close to Toronto), can only dream of buying a home like that for $300k. Going rate is more like $1.6M-$2M ++, dependent on the size of the lot.
And interest rate goes up. Sucks all money.
I live in Toronto also .... This house would be 3 million here if not more .... Our tiny bungalow is worth more than a million if we ever sold it ... I can only dream of having a house like that here ...yet if I sold mine I could buy two of these houses there even given the exchange rate . Not fair.

Thanks for sharing. HEB is not the Hispanic Whole Foods. HEB is more like a Texas version of Kroger. However, since it's a Texas based grocery store, you can find a lot of your Mexican based groceries, etc.
Ehhh… I wouldn’t compare it to Kroger, fyi we have Kroger stores in Texas the only thing similar is that they both sell groceries
H‑E‑B is most definitely all about Texas 😁 A completely different vibe then a regular grocery store. H‑E‑B also owns Central Market

This seems deceiving. You buy the land the house sits on. The house itself may be right under 300k but people will still have to buy those lots for 75-100k.

@@zaielpr I know! It's so sad that they hate Hispanics over there. I'd sell my house in Dade and move if it weren't for that. My oldest son graduated from the University of Texas in Austin and despite theee languages and a 4.0 was not offered a single job in Texas.
I think a housing crash will happen because all those people who bought homes over asking price, although it was at a low interest rate, they are over their heads. They have no equity if the housing prices continue to go down, and if for whatever reason they cannot afford the house anymore and it goes into foreclosure because even if they try to sell, they will not make any money. I think this will happen to a lot of people especially with the massive layoff predicted for the future and the cost of living rising at a high speed.
I suggest you offset your real estate and get into stocks, A recession as bad it can be, provides good buying opportunities in the markets if you’re careful and it can also create volatility giving great short time buy and sell opportunities too. This is not financial advise but get buying, cash isn’t king at all in this time!
You are right! I have diversified my 450K portfolio across various market with the aid of an investment coach, I have been able to generate a little bit above $830k in net profit across high dividend yield stocks, ETF and bonds.

Nice looking house. All that’s needed now is landscaping. Pavers or stamped concrete on the driveway would have been the the finishing touch needed to truly put this in the luxury class. Not sure McAllen would be a good fit for me personally, but nice overall, nonetheless. The biggest issue is Texas property taxes though. 😳
