Remember to keep track of the pot size and stack sizes. You give up info and waste time counting this when it matters. I use stack and pot size tracking to help keep my focus on the game almost all the time. However, this has to be taken into consideration with my next tip, try to look like you're there just to have fun, not some pro playing for profit.
Hey Jonathan. Just a quick comment to say how grateful I am for the absolutely insane amount of valuable material you put out for the community like this. I know I’ve personally benefited a great deal from your content. You’re one of the very best of the good ones. Thank you
Biggest mistake I've made (and seen others make) switching from online to small stakes live is to try to adjust their opening range to the table. It's really easy to be playing a loose table and feel the boredom of the slower pace and think it's ok to loosen up your range and play more because the table is so loose. At MOST you can play some more low pockets and suited connectors in GOOD POSITION, because the large number of multiway pots is going to yield better pots when you hit. Otherwise, just play GTO and you will print money at live low stakes. One, because when you are in a hand, you'll have better odds of winning it than most of the table, but also because you'll be playing few enough hands compared to the table that people will assume when you are in the hand you have premium hole cards and they will be more prone to fold to bluffs.
11/21 you have 1 option 400-2day ring event big field. Instead you play 400$ 1-day ring event plo turbo small field. If my Omaha was as good or better then my Holdem which would be better chance on winning the ring.?
Good vid. I'm thinking about doing a live tournament in the next few months but it will be a little drive for me as we dont have much nearby. Are you streaming the freeroll tomorrow or somebody else?
you play like 10k hands in the whole wsop month maybe..., you could play live turnaments for your whole life without a big score even if you are the best player to ever do it
@@phrog6073 "you could play live turnaments for your whole life without a big score even if you are the best player to ever do it" this is a 1 in a billion chance of happening. Unless you are just stating the obvious, which is pointless.
I used to have a case of two buck Chuck red in my car. I’d bring in bottle after bottle and pay the five dollar corkage fee. It really got people gambling.
I'm sure you've very proud of that sharp audio you've somehow placed on your voice, Jon; I think it's just unpleasant. Your commentary seems to me generally sound. Why don't you just rely on what you're saying rather than on an artificial construction of houw you says it? The content is a win, the manner is a fail.

What do you think is most important to consider when transitioning from online poker to live poker?
Can you do one for vice versa? Ive usually played live and would like to learn more about online.

You shouldn't yell "FUCK" when river comes and you missed all of your outs. It might give opponent some information.
@@garygillespie291I’ve never played live, but, im sure the dealer is supposed to tell you, when hes been asked.

Bad online players can play $0.01/$0.02 games. Bad live players have to play at least $1/$2
Bad online players don't play 2c but at least 0.05/0.10
Lower than 10$ buy in shouldn't be considered poker
Bad 1-2 players should be playing 1-2c online 😂 is the literally the same skill level of bad
True!

Can you do turbo Vs deep stack tournament strategies?
Weird how the #1 online player , lena900 struggled to get live results until the wsop main event this summer, where he finished third.
The amount of luck involved in the wsop is insane so you could chalk that up to crazy variance
