Please could you do a video on how you organise your gear when packing. Do you make a list of lay it all on your bed or something. Thanks. Great hammock video. Also how do you manage your hayfever when outdoors in grass this time of year?

i just made myself a new hammock, under 20 quid. some ripstop nylon, gathered ends, put a sheetbend knot with some 10mm webbing, tidied and whipped the ends, and that was it ! i just added some mini clips for ease of attaching to trees.

Hello again my Friend , I thoroughly enjoyed the " Live stream " last night , It was good to hear from the Hammock Guys and Girls , I cannot use a Hammock , due to my Neck and shoulder injuries , I have to be on the ground to sleep , This is the only time of year I can still get out for a Camp , but even that is becoming harder , I hate getting older due to that , Be Well my Friend , best wishes to you and the Family .

The one thing I like is a cheap tent, sea fishing on a nice quiet stretch of beach and catch and cooking a couple of fresh mackerel with bread and butter on little camping gaz stove in an old army mess tin. You can’t beat a set of mess tins for your budget cooking needs. Stay safe bud

Hi Dan, thanks for the video, it gave me some ideas. I use a tent but always thinking of any food i want, breakfast is ok, i can use dehydrated bags, but it is a good idea taking or buying sandwiches ( you have spoiled me with your steak eh), but i will now consider sandwiches , as you say less gear to take, as i will be on my motorbike somewhere in the country. Keep educating the public Dan, camping is for anyone whether tent, bivy, or hammock, it doesnt matter. You just have to get out and do it, even in the garden at home occasionally. All the best Dan buddy, see you for the next video my friend.

Sleeping bag?! I'm a hot sleeper so no bag, foam under me or inflatable matt. I have a jungle hammock among others with built in bug net with zips from both ends but only on one side. I do take a tarp above me about a full foot or so in olive green - from 100 yard you can't see anything. I use a trangia style cooker, but in summer I just take fresh salad in a box, chilled at home and in a foil chiller bag I made. All under £30 - under £70 if you count the bike and pannier bags.
