This reaction is currently experiencing processing issues on the backend of RUclips, which explains the locked 360p video quality. Fun fact; When Blake and Yang finally admit their love, the border between them and the pillar they stand on sprouts a ton of white lilies. Those flowers are often associated with lesbians because because they represent chastity, purity, romance and translate to "yuri" in Japanese.

The color green can stand for nature or greed.
A rose can stand for love or death.
So to put a singular main meaning only stands for the values you personally have. IF I give you a black rose. Death, tragedy and sadness can be seen, while to my cousin it can stand for peace, balance and emo.

Ruby's mental state is EXTREMELY concerning. The fact that WBY haven't noticed just how much pain she is in must has been very upsetting. I never thought I'd see Ruby not be excited to see her weapon, or even outright reject it. In the first seasons, if you asked why WBY were becoming huntresses, they couldn't tell you why with conviction, or they weren't sure it was the right path for them, but Ruby was certain it was what she wanted to do. Now, WBY are the ones confident about their role as huntresses but Ruby is falling very fast and becoming something else.
(Also, I wonder if silver eyes have an effect on things in this world? They react to magic like the maidens powers, but the ever after is filled with magical creatures and magic. I wonder if it's the same? Just a theory, could be very wrong)

The thing is it's not like it's only Ruby who is in pain. They've always moved on from pain they're feeling, just look at Weiss, always getting hit with V8 angst but focusing on the matter at hand. It isn't a stretch that Ruby doing the same prolongs the inevitable

They don't. They only react to Cinder cause Cinder use a grimm to steal part of her power and basically became part grimm. Her eyes never activated against Raven or Penny, nor did they show any discomfort or pain when Ruby used her eyes against Cinder.

Lewis is 100% the jabberwalker... he mysteriously disappears and we were purposely shown that the jabberwalker can bleed in episode 3
I think he ‘was’ the jabberwalker, but might be dead now with neo, so she might be able to take his form or have one of the ‘clones’ get remade
Blake mentions the Jabberwalker by name as a part of the story they’ve already encountered in episode 2. Meaning Alyx wrote about encountering it in her own story. If Lewis became the Jabberwalker after ascending when he and Alyx go to the tree it wouldn’t make sense for Alyx to have written about the Jabberwalker, as he would have turned into it either after or right at the end of her time in the Ever After
@@gamemaher but Alex defeated the jabberwalker… once defeated it no longer had a purpose. But the world needs a jabberwalker so Lewis could have been given the purpose of being a new jabberwalker.

I like that Yang was the one with doubts while Blake was certain. Bit of a role reversal but at the same time it was written well enough it feels natural.
not a fan of the ship, but I have to praise that. it does make sense. Yang bringing back that faith in humanity for Blake that makes her happy to say it, but Yang having lost a part of her confidence that allows her to say it.
I’m just happy that our girls finally got together. Been waiting for this moment since Volume 2, for Pete’s sake. But tbh, I feel pretty bad for Sun now, since I did ship him and Blake. But I ship Bumblebee more, so… Yeah, sorry Sun. Still love ya, buddy!

"20 minutes of Jaune" "Jaune is the most important character", Weiss thirsting over Jaune, and the possibility that Jaune met Summer in the ever after with how far back he went. This was an absolutely beautiful episode.

I was a Black Sun shipper back in the earlier volumes. Nowadays, I’m not into shipping but god, even I said “finally” when Blake and Yang kissed. It brought me to tears with how excellent that scene was written.
Same here about BlackSun. Tbh, I've grown kinda jaded about the whole shipping scene in the FNDM (especially Bumblebee and all its surrounding ships) due to all the pointless drama around it. Even I can admit, the scene was nicely done.
Although, part of me wonders how they'll handle Blake reuniting with Sun in Vol 10, with a mix of both intrigue and dread (the Intrigue part being from interest in how it's gonna play out, and dread due to the tired Love Triangle trope.)
I feel like Jaunes voice actor wasn't supposed to say "Feels like I've been waiting forever for that", and they just decided to write it in

It's crazy to think that at one point there were 2 Jaunes that existed in the same timespace (everafter). With that said, I'm geniuinely scared for our boy. So many flags.
To be honest about the cat, he did not lie, nor hide any information: I rewatch the series up to this point and in the episode where the cat appears, he said something like "you will be ok just like the others that came" implying that there was more people than Alyx...
It's basically a similar thing with Kyubey or the monkey's paw. He will be truthful but he will never tell you beyond what you actually ask.
Yang learned the hard way what happens if she jumped into something head first with Blake so she hesistated a bit before finaly saying it.....ngl they had this well planed out for years and gave us a perfect slow burn romance/ friends to lovers with the two
The music that plays during THAT scene is so beautiful, its probably the most ethereal track in the entire series. i wanted the intro to be more fairytale like. this made up for it. -

Honestly it's crazy to think how much has happened in a short time for them. 2 nights ago was Jacques's dinner party. Clover was alive. Salem hadn't arrived yet. We still had one Relic in a vault and another in our hands. Ironwood and our heroes were on the same side.

Did Alex get out? Or did Lewis get out and wrote the story of Alex? Lewis name is akin to the guy who wrote Alice in Wonderland. And lewis has the look of a guy who Ozpin might know VERY Well. not that he was with Lewis in Ever after. but after they melded.
Exactly, Juane has made a lot of assumptions with a marked lack of evidence. Hell I dont even know how he knows only one person left. He was by his own admission not present.

Heartfelt reunion and drama aside. Weiss getting thirsty for Jaune made the Mantle moms look mildly parched. Comedy gold right there.
I loved this episode, and all the little visual nuances. The Bees scene, the various reflections shown at the crossroads, the way the cat goes dim for the first time, etc. There's so much detail and I adore it.
Bumblebee has been stupidly cute this entire season. I loved all the double meaning wordplay throughout this episode "But how do we take the next step..." etc.

Omg this episode has quite a few twists and turns! Firstly, I've already had a few things spoiled for me from this Volume, like the Cat and also Bumblebee. But not even spoilers can take anything away from the beautiful moment that is Bumblebee finally becoming canon! Whoo!

Yeah he is gonna freak out you can only shoulder everything for so long. You could start to see it taking a toll on her in volume 7
That Bridge Scene was immaculate.
My theory is that Lewis was the one who made it back, not Alyx, which is why Alyx looked so angry in her dagger at the Blacksmith's when Ruby picked it up and saw her. Because she failed, or got tricked somehow, and was still stuck in the Ever After. Lewis then wrote the story the way he did, treating his sister as the protagonist of the story, because he was kind.
But I also think Lewis went on to become one of Ozma's souls. And this is the reason why Jaune was let into Beacon.
Because Oz, due to Lewis' memories, knew that Jaune had to be let in, and get to a certain point, so he would end up falling into the Ever After to play the role of the Rusted Knight for Alyx and Lewis. There must have been certain challenges that Alyx/Lewis would not have been able to deal with without Jaune's help. So Jaune needed to be there no matter what.
We still haven't been given the reason why Oz let Jaune into Beacon, because we know that Oz knows he cheated his way in. This was from V1 when Glynda was saying how she didn't think Jaune was ready for this level of combat, regardless of his papers, and Oz just sips his tea in silence.
Jaune does look like Weiss's grandfather Nicholas Schnee from the painting within her mansion.

Something me and my friends theoriezed about after watching this last week: Someone needs to be sacrificed to send RWBY back.
If you recall back to when Jaune was explaining Alex and Lewis' story, he specifically mentioned he thinks Alex sacrificed Lewis in order to return to Remnant. Thinking along how Arnold said, Jaune aged naturally. It would likely make it impossible for him to be returned to his younger self. With that in mind, is Jaune going to sacrifice himself for RWBY to return to Remnant? As horrible as it would feel, it makes sense from a storyline standpoint.
This makes a lot of sense as it seems Jaune has been suffering about losing Pyrra and killing Penny. Those are things that I don't know if Jaune will ever be able to get past so him sacrificing himself makes sense.
Have any of you guys noticed that when Jaune was going back in time, he looked up and saw different colored lights falling from the sky 7:40 For Team RWBY and blue for Alyx and Lewis. He unintentionally created a timeline where he is the Rusted Knight and had to take on the role for the story.
it's interesting that the time reversal effected only him even though it seemed like RWBY were already there as he fell last. Also the lights were only four: yellow, dark gray, red and white with a blue tint, which pretty much is the order in which team RWBY fell. Everybody did arrive in the order from volume 8, Jaune was just incredibly unlucky with that time tree.
Okay, let me just say, as someone who has had a *severe* love/hate relationship with RWBY for the last few years, this whole Volume has been nothing but Wins in my book. Are there a couple little things I don't like? Sure, but so far its all overshadowed by the good and your reactions add to how much fun I've been having with it.

The thing that really got me thinking, a week later, is the fact that jaune died. He got poisoned and died and the *CAT* found him. The same cat that helps others ascend... I think jaune is stuck there. I think hes an afterin now, stuck in the role of a hero
At this point, I think Ruby needs to have a conversation with Summer. She's lost her drive and purpose, it feels like a reminder from her hero might be just what she needs to get back on her feet.
The words you said after they said "cliff" and "fall" were the exact words I was thinking too 😭😭😭 been a long time coming for this relationship so happy it finally happened!
One thing I do need to point out is that the Cat had said "door". Not portal, not gateway, but door. It means that the Cat knows how to get to Remnant from the Tree.

what made all this amazing and memorable for me wasnt so much the confession, it was the music that tied it all beautifly. u can hear how it was soft and slow at first, then a burst after, just wow. took 100 years or so for this but we finally got another ship sailing, this show needed this.

Even I admit that this was quite the episode! I was quite happy when I saw that joyful moment with Yang and Blake. Both have had much that happened in their life. Both together and individually. To think, they were first partners in Beacon, joined Team RWBY, had their many differences when it came to their respective obsessions of things, the fallout, the making up, and now: we get them together after long last! Amazing.
Also quite funny how many people weren’t exactly so blind to the two wanting to be together. Even Jaune said he was wondering when that would happen. Lol!
In any case, it seems like everyone think the story happened a certain way, and yet, only the Cat returned. Something tells me there’s SO much more to either side.

Sometimes i feel like the longer they spend there always gives ruby a small glimpse of her mother like she almost has a role in the ever after.
i feel like luis was sent back and wrote the stiry and alex is the jabberwalker, like she became so corupted when she went to the tree she became something else. that or the jebberwalker is all of alex badside's like her faults

Jaunes reaction to yang and Blake kissing is basically every BMBLB shipper ever
New running theory: Jaune sacrifices himself for Team RWBY to return them to Remnant. BUT, he does not die. Instead his soul will combine with the one from Pyrrha. That person returns to Remnant, therefore bringing the story The Man With Two Souls in to the series. The man in the story is in the end Luis and Alyx (Don’t know if I spelled the names right) combined into one body.
I mean the man with two souls has always been in remnant. Oz.
So i think thats a bit of stretch. I dont think CRWBY would just start dropping combined souls left and right after establishing the combined souls to be so.. unique to ozma.
And i think its a bit of a stretch to pull Pyrrha back in after she died properly so long ago without any association to the everafter at all. At least penny and summer have an artifact presence that is distinctly theirs.
And yes I know juanes armor involved metal from Pyrrhas. But also, his armor has clearly grown since then, as he didnt have the same level of full plate, nor helmet before. I imagine a very unusual blacksmith was involved but its unclear as to how

I love this episode! The RWBY team reaction to older Jaune reminded me of scene from vol 6 when Oscar got new outfit. I cried during the kiss scene, how could I not? Also the moment where we saw Summer in the reflection! I really think we are gonna see Summer's new design because I swear it's diffrent. And after today's episode I think we are gonna see Ruby and Summer talk.

I’m really feeling jaded Jaune. A whole new character. Ruby needs major therapy, and her friends need to pay attention more. I enjoyed this episode, but there’s like 5 parts to this fairytale we need to see now before it pieces together🤔

summer reflection was different, when the other reflections with penny and jaune happened they were just standing there, but with summer It was like an actual mirror, she did the same movements of Ruby.

After all the trauma they’ve been through, all the fanfics I’ve read and fanart I’ve seen, it’s so heartwarming to see Yang and Blake finally get together. BUMBLEBEE FOREVER!
if you know the song that played during the confession scene one of the lyrics is from the bumblebee song in volume 4
back in the forest, during the 'test'. Blake Chose Yang. who knows why, or why the writers thought of that. but she did. I don't think that can be argued by anyone. She chose Yang as her 'partner' for the next 4 years. make of that what you will.
During the intro I kept saying "OPEN YOUR EYES!!" I really thought you were going to miss the change. 😂

This volume has been so good so far. Amazing development for the characters
Especially Ruby. Girl was in desperate need of development and I’m glad she’s getting it. It makes even more sense that she’s breaking now when you realize that volumes 7-8 take place over like, a week

Ok so I'm going to throw my theory out here, how did Alyx and Lewis fall into the ever after because the only way have fully seen actually happen is through the staff of creation when he said don't fall. Which leads into another question was ozpin apart of somehow because we now know what part of the story is true and it's thanks to Oscar mentioning "when she brushed off her bruises" back in volume 8 and ozpin say oh that's from the girl who fell through the world as he mentions that when she came back she was a different person. So this leaves a few questions 1. Was ozpin involved with Alyx leaving the world 2. How did she leave the ever after and 3. What actually happened to her brother. It feels like I'm just spit balling here but it's something I wanted to throw out there if anyone else was thinking the same thing.
