    I have been using the Mach 5 for the past few years and my dad turned me onto safety razors. From there I eventually received a twig from him. Wow! So I went to RUclips to see what others had to say. I heard about the THORN and immediately purchased 1. After just a few days of that I purchased the LEAF. The BIG DADDY of them all! I thought there could be no better razor until I went to safety razors. The cool thing about the LEAF is that you can pick your own blades. You want more aggressive? Pony up! I seldom ever cut or nic myself with any of these razors. Once you go to the leaf you won't find better. I'm sure that they make something as good. Maybe? But not better. Enjoy!🙂

    I’m too ocd to stop at anything less than bbs on a headshave. I’ve considered the leaf for a while.

    Two in two days 👍 good comparison and it looks decent to use on the head. I generally do couple of passes with a DE and a clean up pass with Mach 3, doing it that way means a cartridge lasts me a couple of months. Have a good week mate 👍

    I tried both Leaf and Mach Fusion for a week and so far, I feel that the Fusion is a better razor. I can't get my head shaved that closely with the Leaf and it feels weird when I shave my head with this razor. However, I can get a nice close shave with the Fusion and it definitely feels like I'm shaving my head with that razor.

    One thing I didn't like about the twin blade carts was how the blades will get clogged up. Looks as Leaf has more space between the blades? Great comparison man, oh and always be careful when shaving between your ears :)

    Since i started using straight razors and shavettes, my Merkur 34C doesn't get much love, so i typically use that on my head.
    However, yesterday i had let my (remaining) hair grow for about a week, so i took it down to a manageable level with the shavette - which will not clog and then cleaned up with the Merkur. Guess which one cut me!

    Nice comparison! With the cost of cartridge refills as opposed to the upfront cost of the leaf plus the low cost of DE blades..... I’d say the lead is still cheaper in the long run. 2 refills of Fusion cartridges in Canada would be $90 CAD for 8 cartridges alone.... and realistically how long would those last doing head shaves, a few shaves per cartridge?

    • @Shave_n_Butcher
      @Shave_n_Butcher  4 года назад +1

      I go with the grain only on the head so I get at least 20 shaves from a cartridge.
