I really love CHVRCHES ! I just recently discovered them, and the more I hear their music, the more I love them ! There is something about Lauren that fascinates me. Her very sweet appearence, and girlish voice kind of collides with the message in many of her lyrics, wich often is quite dark. Eventhogh the melody in many of the songs is qiute cachy and happy, often the lyrics isn't ! It's easy to miss the message if you don't pay attention ! I don't know anything about Lauren, other then I love her voice, and she seems to be an intelligent and very nice and down to earth human being, but concidering the message in her lyrics, I really wonder what she has experienced ? It makes you wonder, dosen't it ? This song has just begun to be played on swedish radio, and the first time I heard it it really didn't do anything to me, but after I heard it a couple of more times, it really grew on me, and I like it now ! I've pre ordered the new album "Love is dead" and I'm really looking forward to hear it ! I really love these guys ! Big hug to Lauren, I really hope she's happy !

But the upcoming album is promising too I think, even if it appears to sound a bit different than the previous two. But i really like "Miracle" ! I've pre ordered "Love is dead" and I can't wait to get it ! I'm absolutely sure I'll like it !
This was a brilliant performance from CHVRCHES considering the obvious mix / monitoring issues. I enjoyed the new percussive addition too. Would LOVE to tour with this band
Chvrches will improve the live performance of this song. Not a great mix by BBC Sound guy, chorus lacks something but i am confident it will be much better when they start touring
Chvrches Obsession they ALWAYS sound bad alive. Her singing is really bad which needs to be improved. It's a shame because their music is really really good.

I don’t think Lauren’s singing is bad at all. At least she doesn’t lip sync or use live autotune while performing like a lot of today’s pop performers do. Sure she’s imperfect and yes we’ve heard her do better before, but it’s not bad. She’s not trying out for American Idol. You want a bad singer? Listen to Tom DeLonge.

Aside from the sound engineer sucking, it looks like they stopped using a backing track all together, which sounds good in theory, but their new drummer is a bit slower than the studio version. If they don't want to use the backing tracks in ableton, then the drummer should at least play along with a click
All those people so happy because of the entry of a live drum on set ...i can't understand, i don't know what's on their mind, really ...B.T.W. i'm not an "enemy of drummers" ... i can mention many electronic bands with a live drummer that fits and works very well : Soulwax for example but their sound i so energetic, is almost rave music and the live drums works for them, the same is for the Prodigy, or Kosheen ... But in many other cases it doesn't work at all, and CHVRCHES are one of these latter cases, i'm quite sure of it ... I'm afraid it will be a disaster, just like it happened for Depeche Mode :-( ... i hope i'm wrong !

One of my fave Chvrches songs ruined by a terrible sound engineer. Just goes to show how amazing Lauren's Vocals are that she still makes it through the song. She is a an absolute professional.
The problem wasn't with the mixing or the vocals, it was with the arrangement. The band appear to be playing somewhat live and they seem to have dropped the dominant cord structures in the chorus. Maybe they were thinking Lauren would carry the chorus without them but it didn't work. This one is on the keyboard payers throwing accent parts without any structural backbone. Just leaving the melodic baseline in for this section would have saved them.

I gotta be honest with myself here. I don't really dig this version. I LOVE Chvrches, but their acoustic and live stuff just doesn't strike with me. This version though, I really think it's just mixed poorly or something.
