I liked the Cathedral in Ulm when I visited last year but the Cologne Cathedral is beautiful also! watching this makes me miss Germany, I can't wait to come back.
Wow, 17 hours since you posted the video and no thumbs-down haters yet! Sounds like Nergle got the job. Beautiful video of the Kölner Dom interior. I still remember the sound and the smell of that place when I visited in 2010. Knowing that the inside is somewhat sooty because of candles in use since the Middle Ages, well, we have no architecture like that in the USA. The fact that my German ancestors worshipped here made me teary-eyed and a bit light-headed. Ich möchte wiederkommen :-)
Reminds me of when I was there a couple of years ago, such a nice city! Hopefully I'll be back again this year for Amphi festival... I'm pretty sure that Irish bar near the beginning is the one all the British crowd keep ending up in every time we come over for the festival :-)
What a beautiful city Cologne is ^^ and the Cathedral is simply breathtaking! When i heard the bells and then the pipe organ starting to play, i felt like i have come home and felt like crying, but a good kind of cry, not a sad one :) It's just all so lovely it's very moving:) And it's good the ride back was safe :) it's scary loosing your lights at night, thank you soo much for this wonderful video, i was moved really ^^
If I went into the Köln Cathedral while that organ was playing, I would drop to my knees and cry. So beautiful. I would die to be a German kaiser. I love my german ancestry. IM SO EXCITED TO GO TO GERMANY THIS YEAR!!! MÜNICH, HERE I COME!!!!!!

I had the same feelings when I went there. It's overwhelmingly spiritual.

I went to köln for Karneval and never really got to see the city past the crowds of people! Kinda nice to see everything I missed.
I was there two weeks ago, it was the coolest church ever!!!!!!!!! I saw everything you saw.
I just went there yesterday and to the same Thai restaurant! It's alot prettier in the spring.

Wat? Der Dom ist immer toll, auch wenn ich jeden Tag mehrmals dran vorbeikomme und das wird auch in 50 Jahren noch jeden Tag was Besonderes sein.
