I couldn’t hold back from wishing for Kagura’s Verity despite having a R5 Widsith. It looks so elegant with her so I think it’s worth it.
Kokomi weapon look better tho uhuk but yeah the color concept of her weapon really suits her appearence
But its not like i can see her weapon anyway so uhh
Her weapon is better than r5 widsith for long battles (abyss)and it has high base attack with no cool downs.
What changed my mind was ayato leaks 😭

Got c1, kagura and jade cutter for 35k which imo is super worth it.
please remember that the widsith has a huge downtime. 10s buff on 30s Cooldown.
Still a very good replacement for f2p. If not then the free catalyst should suit her if anyone doesn't have a widsith.
Her ult is 20 second CD so still not worthed anyway , 10 second difference is enough to switch another sub dps to dealt even better rotation dmg
I mean its more about the damage loss on her Elemental Skill when the Widsith buff in down. Its hard to compare DPS on just small time frames like this especially this early on her release.
The Widsith is still good tho because even when you get the the worst buff (EM), it's not completely wasted on Yae because of her passive.
Yeah i will stick for widsith , its not like i can get yae weapon but getting her weapon doesnt give that big boost of dmg...plus i can't even see her weapon on field so aesthetic wise it also a loss
So yeah , her weapon is better but difference is not worthed for low spender to try
yep. F2P should just avoid the weapon banner in general. You can lose 50/50 twice before getting a sure shot at your chosen 5-star weapon, and It resets every banner. lmaoo
Should also include Widsith without buff.
for nuke damage showcases i think widsith is better, but for her overall damage is defo kaguras variety. she has constant 32% elemental and skill damage bonus, with more atk and crit damage, with 100% uptime which is rlly good
My take: I will play her with raiden, meaning that in her widsith down time I will have another "dps" on field, plus the rest of the rotation! It all might work really well together
I don't know what to say but holy moly this is so early
the widsith is still considerably economical. but has a very long @ss cd (mf mihoyo i only got r0 even though i started the game since the begining). On the other hand, even if both in comparision has enough ER, kagura thingy is infinitely better, with stable E off field dmg and guaranteed Q's dmg buffed all time. Won the first weapon banner 50/50 i i had never felt luckier🥵🥵🥵 but still im still struggling for the ER since i dont have raiden and my fischl is a physic dps-

Raiden everything make it easy. My yae miko paired with raiden shogun don't have problem in energy.

r5 widsith gives her 10s buff, and 30s cd (20s after buff time's up) and her ult has 22s cd , undeniably we would rely mostly on her ult for the big pp dmg so i'd say r5 widsith is really good compared to r1 kagura (consistency wise, r1 kagura ftw)

if im completely honest, my thought is, that the widstith isnt even her BiS 4* option. just a 10 second buff with a 30 second cooldown isnt that great, especially since alot of her dmg comes from her totems overall. at least all 3 buffs from widstith benefit the totems, but i honestly think a r5 solar pearl is better an her overall. on nuke, widstith has the potential to be better if its not EM (because EM doesnt benefit the burst in any way). i personally dislike the rng and short buff duration from widstith too much to think its anyones BiS 4* except for a mona nuke build
Im using the free 4 stat catalyst right now for my yae with a 4 peice ER set. Its great with raiden, kazuha and bennett because her ult is always up. With widsith with 2 piece glad/2 piece. The damage of her q is good but her ultimate takes too long to charge up.
Still not done building her though and leveling so still not sure where I'm leaning more to. Maybe in abyss I'll stick with the free 4 star cata.
Yes solar pearl r5 is better but need to spend a lot and 5 months

Ive tried both.. Dmg wise Widsith R5 outdmgs Skyward R1 when its passive is active but not by a lot. If there are no buffs, Skyward pulls much ahead.. Overall, I think Skyward is better since its more consistent
@@adriancuberom1821 Lost prayer prob ain't worth it. Yae isn't on field long enough to stack up the elemental damage bonus passive as it requires you to be active for 16 whole seconds. If you wanna play Yae as on field main dps then I'm sure it's fine but that's not how she's really meant to be played and most prob won't use her that way.

As an AR 59, R5 is still the better option out of all Catalyst, the ONLY Catalyst that can match R5 Widsight is an R2 Lost Prayer which is MERELY IMPOSSIBLE to have if your an F2P player.
as a both weapons haver, the r5 widsith is the best weapon for her as sub dps. but as main dps her signature is much more better. anyway, if you have r5 widsith, I wouldn't recommend to wish for signature, it doesn't make sense

I often read "in the mean time I do dps with raiden". you guys know she is a sup dps, not a main dps and her skill doesn't snapshot so 10 sec buff time every 30 sec is 10 sec buff time every 30 sec. also the arguement her burst has a long cd makes no sense to me because her dmg comes from her e. her q is more for aoe dmg apart from this if you only use her burst when widsith is active you just use it not as often as you normally do and if you don't care if widsiths passive is active 2 of 3 bursts are not buffed. widsith is still a very good ftp option tho kagura still BiS even if it's not that much of a difference not like f.e. broken pines for eula.
Moba, meta wise do you think Yae a bit underwhelming in term of damage compared to other characters that are out atm? Well it's only been a day I'm sure more will be discover later. Great video! Would love to hear ur opinion.

Imo yae isnt underwhelming or over,shes balanced
I think Yae isn't really made for big solo damage. The way her kit works, long burst cool down and energy cost but she has continuous off field damage good for reactions. She's made to work with the entire team.

my yae miko does 124k with r5 widsith (elem buff) with c6 sara bennet and kazuha but with kagura she does 109k all her 3 totems 95k her first bolt
There was just something weird to me about kagura passive... maybe the wording for me?? Couldve been better but I'm not too interested in it besides its looks 👌 and my r5 widsth on ningguang rn 🤔 curreny got solar polar on her r3 but may switch them
basically you do 3 e’s and then you get all elements 12% bonus.
I love both on her but imo r5 widsith does beat Kagura’s verity R1 in terms of showcases (may depend on your team comps and your yae’s artifacts) but the cooldown for its passive is so low and pisses me off to no end 😭 but for general gameplay its Kagura’s verity not only is the passive easy to activate but in terms of raw dmg its better

r5 solar pearl is decent its only slightly lower than widsith (2~5%)

I use Lost prayers instead of widsith because of the downtime, i lost to kagura 2x and need at least 55 wishes until banner
I use yae as main dps and with lost prayer the uptime is better (90% cr with 194%). Damage burst wise, widsith, but meh, i like lost prayer better

This test is just to show the big one time number. Like everyone said the widsith has huge cd + if there is not enough ER on Miko, it is not practical at all.
hmm. my R1 lost prayer with shimmi - glad C0 1-6-6 does more damage than widsith. My crit damage is also like 165% thats kinda crazy. im hitting like 25k each in burst but the super is 5600 ish. This is without any buffs
For those who are STILL contemplating to pull for Kagura if you already have R5 Widsith... STOP,,, PLEASE DONT PULL, I regretted it so much. Why? Yae Miko is NOT a MAIN DPS, she's a very good SUB DPS which is minimal on the field, having an R5 Widsith with 30 cd is GOOD why? Do you only play 1 unit? nah fam, we have 4 units in 1 party, switching everytime will take couple of seconds. and thats why 30 cd will NOT AFFECT the DPS of Yae Miko..

I should have read your comment sooner. I pulled on weapon banner and lost and got jade cutter, although it's still good. Now I have 250 pulls left and I am not pulling any more, instead will pull on character banner.

Big check! Most people here are blinded on the phrase "5* weapons are always above 4* ones". You gotta consider her ult has long cooldown which fitted on Widsith buff plus refinements.
Yea, I've been mulling it over because I did a single pull and got an off banner weapon. Thought I might have the luck to get it but Widsith makes a lot of sense on her since not only do you have a 22 second cooldown but you will most likely have to cast another round of turrets before you drop you next ult. The widsith timing for a burst sub-dps makes sense to me.

Just got this now. My last weapon pull was the “thousand dream” so I got 2 5* straight after each other. So iv got my Nahida and Yae weapons now.
So how much more damage is her Weapon really doing over the 4* weapon ? A lot per tik or not really?

Depends. You're looking at averaging 10-15% more DPS. Widsith outdamage Kagura at R5 but only for 10 seconds and have 30 seconds cooldown which can mess up the rotation while Kagura can stay active 100% of the time.
at least kagura gives you a 100% uptime buff unlike widsith's 33% uptime buff

Yesterday I was doing the same test using a ruin's guard XD
From my point of view, widsith doesn't work very well with yae because the damage isn't stable (bonus is random, only works fine for 10 s and the CD after that is 20 s) and she doesn't have snapshot.
In general, both weapons are good for her, but I prefer to give kagura to yae. Doing that, widsith will be available for yanfei and klee.
I have widsith r3 and lost prayers, I prefer lost prayers thou cuz of the cooldown widsith has, lost prayers is more stable.
Can you test with atlas ?

Widsith wins for quick swap but lost prayer wins for sustained dps. Imo yae is not that good for sustained dps tho

If there are 3 pillars on the field when she uses her burst, will the tenko thunderbolts strike three time or just once? If theybdo strike three times, does each of them has the same damage?
There is a strike for each totem. They do more damage than the initial strike. Each one has it's own crit chance. So if they all crit it will be the same. But one could not etc...

skyward = u gotta NA once to proc the passive. Lost prayer= need to be out in the field for long time in order to fully benefit from passive.
I do have her weapon but I still prefer R5 Widsith. It's better than Kagura since I only use her as subdps
widsith do more dmg for 10 sec then for 30 sec on passive cooldown dmg is a lot lower than kagura verity
Her últ cooldown is 20 plus you need to do rotations so is fine

what does it mean EM buff and atk buff? does it mean "buff " is Sands main stat???
Widsith can buff the holder in 3 different ways: (1) ATK, (2) Elemental DMG and (3) EM. Depends on rng which of the 3 activates tho.

The buff also has a huge downtime. If you need more than one rotation the difference will be much bigger
All the buffs are good for her if you have her at lvl70. Plus the downtime of the buff is only 10 seconds if you disregard the 20secs cooldown of her burst.
yeah thats my main issue with widsith, the buff is kinda huge but its locked behind rng and the cd is long too
Keep it mind, you'll have to watch your rotations carefully if you want to utilize Widsith's passive everytime
Tips from me: put yae at the last.
Rotation:
Char 1 > char 2 > char 3 > yae (widsith buff active) ele 3x, burst, ele 3x continue
Char 1 > char 2 > char 3 > yae (widsith buff inactive) ele 3x, continue back to the first rotation
Works like charm you won't have trouble activating widsith's buff as long as you play 3 other chars before switching to yae.
My suggestion for team comps:
(In order) Raiden, Kazuha, Bennett/Sara, Yae
R1 lost prayer or r4 widsith? I already max out my lost prayer, but is it worth maxing out the r4 widsith for Yae?
Go for Lost prayer
Lost prayer will give you elemental bonus benefit

Pull the weapon because it's HER weapon and you are a simp lol. That's honestly the only legitimate reason to swipe in this game. There's no content hard enough to justify buying power.
Nice comparison and Im still confused about the weapon banner pity system.. I won Engulfing (max 2 fate points & 1st 10 pulls) then next is Staff of Homa (another 1st 10 pulls) so the next 5 star weapon will be non-promotional weapon, am i right? am really confused rn :((
pity carries over, but fate points don't. if you have 2 fate points and the banner changes, youll have 0, but if you pulled for example 10 times and the banner changes, youll still have 10 pity
tldw: Widsith will outdamage Kagura's Verity for 10s, then KV will show why it's her BIS (consistent damage output)
Kaguras is better for its 100% uptime vs widsith’s long downtime and rng

to be honest, the 30 second cooldown shouldnt really that big of a problem if youre gonna use her burst, her burst cost a lot of energy, and if your team isnt really a battery, i guess the widsith is good f2p weapon

In my opinion, I see Widsith only good as a Sub-Dps option, but not best in slot for DPS Yae. The buff is only there for 10 seconds and has a long CD of 30 seconds. And also the EM buff would hurt if that buff gets applied as you would lose damage. Since she takes a lot of time on the field, she can use these ten seconds as dps and the 30 second CD as sub dps. so she can't really be a dps if she is off the field dealing dmg and then comes back on the field for 10 seconds.
Kagura's Verity is more reliable, even if it buffs skill dmg, that is still dmg from Yae and it also garauntees an elemental dmg bonus when skill is cast 3 times for 16 seconds. A way longer buff and can immediately be applied again after the 16 seconds are over. More reliable for DPS Yae.
But of course most people play her as sub dps so they atleast profit off of this weapon.
Also consider the fact that you need R5 to have Yae's full sub dps potential
This is coming from a Yae main who tried desperately for widsith but didn't get a single one
Also Kagura's Verity fits her aesthetic more
Edit: if you are f2p and do have a R5 widsith, then it's not worth it to get Kagura's Verity.
So Widsith's EM buff would mean that your damage goes down the drain...
That's quite terrible for Abyss, where often less than 5 seconds may determine if you get a 3* or not
no, her a4 means that the EM buff would give her 72% damage increase on her burst. pretty good imo

Sesshou Sakura is her skill, not burst, so wouldn't burst be entirely unaffected?

I dont want to use widsith anymore. One time my yae deal fuckton damage with her burst (elemental dmg buff), another time she deal shit damage (em buff).
Now i use lost prayer on her even tho its passive rarely active lmao

Just to remind anyone who reads your comment she has level 6 talents here since her boss talent materials can only be farmed once a week.

Even with the widsith EM buff, she is hitting for 14.5k initial with 19.7k per totem. (assuming all crits) That's a total of 73.6k damage without any support characters @ 6-6-6. Seems aight to me.
