I loved this episode with great friendship, sights, seamanship, singing and great musical entertainment. You gave us plenty of plethora whatever that means. Keep your video coming and you do well with 10 minute editing.
Hi. I named Demetrius when I bought her from a couple in Milford Haven (hence the Welsh dragon on the self steering gear) and sailed her home to the Channel Islands. She was previously Jeannie..... sailed around the channel islands from Sark for a few years then moved to East Sussex and brought her up to Newhaven and kept her in the mud above the bridge. Tides/ bridge times meant I didn't use her so sold her in about 2002.
A brilliant vblog the boat you went past at portland looked like an ex naval tender of which there were several classes and two different bodies that ran them the RNAS and the RMXS in the 1970 a lot are being used as diving tenders and one or have converted as liveaboard or cruiser yachts love the Spanish ship a very good replica as I said video was great 👍 👌
Great episode m8, I was wondering how you come to the decision to start sailing and what you was doing before your big adventure if you don't mind sharing I think other viewers would be interested in your back story .
You’re in my old stomping ground! I was based in the South West when I was in the Army, spent many a long weekend in Weymouth! I’ve been semi-obsessed with sailing over the past few months and toying with the idea of buying a boat with ZERO experience too! Glad to see you’re still afloat and making your dream a reality. I’ve literally binged watched your entire channel over the last three days! If you want a crew mate to sail with you up north or to be a general dogsbody with even less sailing experience than you have, drop me a line and I’ll be onboard before the tide! Fair winds!

Just spent the morning watching some of your vids for the first time. Respect to you my friend. How much you reckon you spending/ week on fuel, mooring fees etc?
You found the "Black Pearl"! I have a pet peeve about wearing backpacks on a boat. IMHO you should not do that unless you have been trained to extricate yourself from it while under water like a SCUBA diver removing their tank and BCD.

I toured the El Galeon Andalucia in Duluth, Minnesota a few years ago during a Tall Ships Festival. Very cool! 😊
Awesome!
Good to have you back. Don’t stop doing you 🤙
Cheers!
lol you really have some balls with all that leaping about.

Last time I left Portland harbour on a boat I was clinging to the keel
Nice one ❤
Cheers!
Bennetts chippy.......excellent. The Ship and the George are good too.
I'll have to go back to sample them 😂
Great to meet you in person Terry in Cowes, Shepherds Wharf 👍(Mark on the Victoria 34).
Nice to meet you too mark! Thanks for letting me have a look around!
@@BumblingSailor Terry, you're welcome and fingers crossed for your mast. Stay positive 👍🍺

Hey I saw that boat I guess you were on it

I may well do a video about that! Cheers!
Also saw on Monday. DID you see the hydrofoil dinghy (moths) near by?
Yeah, they zip around Portland harbour almost daily. Awesome to watch, not awesome to navigate through 😂
Saw that in Ramsgate few weeks ago. Amazing boat .
Awesome bit of kit 👍

That's awesome, unfortunately there's only one bed on the boat and I get anxiety being in close proximity to people 😂😂. Cheers!
@@BumblingSailor haha that’s fair enough! I’ll help you out through a Patreon subscription then!
@@realburglazofficial2613 Thank you so much!
In fact, if you do that, you'll get to see me on the army race boat!
@@BumblingSailor I almost did sailing in the army, I chose skydiving instead!

Neil Finn looks a lot older in your video. Must be the camera lens that did it. Thanks for the video.

What's happened to your lovely C26?
She's a bit broken, but got a fix lined up 👍
@@BumblingSailor How? In what way?
Can't have a duff C26!
@@VidsWotIMade I'm doing a video about it next week 👍
@@BumblingSailor When you mentioned you had issues in last weeks video I half expected to see her at the bottom of the marina in this episode!
@@thetinmanify 😂😂😂 It's not quite that bad...
Your last update alluded to some problems that you were having with the boat ... don't keep us all in suspense ... what's the deal?
Video tomorrow 👍
