Hey guys! I want to mention: before uploading this I had only see a small portion of Chris Stuckmann's Signs video (I try not to watch other locations videos to deter keying in on the same facts or subconsciously copying anything). After my video was posted, I finally watched the rest of his and wanted to mention that he found A THIRD CROP CIRCLE in an adjacent field! It had me second guessing the matchup I put in with the family standing in the crop circle. There is streetview next to the field with the third crop circle and it looked similar, but not quite right. I 3D rendered the terrain/treeline in Google Earth Pro and it still didn't seem right. The treeline was way too close to where that circle was. There is also an aerial shot of the third crop circle where you can see BOTH fields. The third circle was there, but neither the "actors circle" nor the movie's crop circles were there yet. After conferring with Randy, we believe this was a test circle to make sure they could produce it properly before putting in the ones they used for filming. What do you think? Thanks for watching!
I watch so many videos like this, and you’ve truly mastered the art of doing them the right way. They’re fast-paced and meticulously produced. Great work! - JayTowers iHeartRadio Detroit
15:20 lol can't believe you found a drive thru time lapse video on youtube of that exact location adding more credibility to that being the tree. Your entire video was pretty informative like where you added the part that the gravel road outside the home was piled up on the side there. Awesome all around job man.
Hahaha, thanks Adam! I was scraping the internet for ANY clues about the tree. I think the image with them all standing behind the firetruck is the most convincing but still wish there was something more concrete.
A really great and thorough filming location video. I enjoy making filming location videos myself and really appreciate your attention to detail. Subscribed.
Great video. I live in the area as well. Lady In The Water was also filmed within about half an hour of Newtown. There is an industrial park between Green Ln and Runway Rd in Levittown. They built the apartment "courtyard" there. It was just a tall rectangular building that (from memory) was just blank on the outside.
I rewatched Lady in the Water thinking I might see what locations were still around and had forgotten the WHOLE movie takes place at that apartment set. The movie wasn't as bad as I remembered.
@@GoingtotheMovies The building was there for what seemed like a long time (maybe a year) after the movie was made. There are just new warehouses on that site now, I don't think there's anything left to see!
Thank you! I'm pretty certain that's the spot but I wouldn't want to state it as fact without knowing 100%. I would hate for people go visiting the wrong tree based on my video!
What an incredible filming locations video. There are a lot of RUclipsrs that do these but this one has topped them all in production and editing. Look forward to more
Yoooooooo so excited to see this video up! That was some real detective work you did to find the crash scene, nice work brother! Those drone shots too are some high quality shots! It’s impressive how much work you put into these videos
I live near Newtown and was working at the local paper in 2002-2003 when the movie was being made. We interviewed Mel a few times and ran stories for months. He was great with the locals and it was fun to see production all over the area.
I read a lot of archival papers while preparing for this video and read about Mel being great with locals (I had read/been told he was the same way while filming Braveheart), but didn't find any Mel interviews. Those would be interesting to read! What was the paper called?
Insane! You do such an amazing job with these locaiton visits, breaking down every single detail in depth and adding visuals to help illustrate. Can't believe that house wasn't real it would have been an epic location. I don't suppose you are also a fan of M Night's The Village? Love that movie as well and would really like to see you bring those locations back to life, nobody else has done anything with it, location wise.
@@BSAArklay Thanks you so much! I do love The Village and found the field but wasn’t able to make it work on this visit. I’m definitely gonna keep working to do that one though!
This was such an eerie film of the time. Absolutely blown away again with your details and precision Ryan! Definitely the best movie location channel on RUclips 👏 Look forward to more 😁
I could have guided you to all of the locations. My sister lived across the street from the Del Val corn fields at Fordhook Farm when the house was built for the film. I lived in Newtown and frequented all of the locations that were used. The Tyler State Park location you landed on (3) is the location used. Burns pharmacy is across the street from my then partner's house. I was there for that filming. Filming was a very big deal here at the time. There are a lot of newspaper records of the daily events.
Watched Signs when it released in that Newtown theater when I was in 5th grade. One of my favorite films. I remember going to school every day and the bus would have to take an alt route around state street for a while because it was closed for filming.
Yeah, I was disappointed when I found that out the first time. They didn't use a real one because most of the farmhouses in Bucks County are stone houses and they wanted something more "all-American" which is why its red, white and blue. Also, I don't think it's a coincidence that it's shaped like a cross considering Mel Gibson's storyline.
Great video! When they were filming Signs, I lived in Morrisville, not far from the pharmacy. I was also dating my future wife, who lived right across the street from the farmhouse on Delaware Valley University's grounds. It was impressive how they built the farmhouse, shot for a month or two, and then tore it down. I remember trying to sneak a peek at the filming whenever I could, but they kept the site locked down pretty tight.
Always happy to see you back with your excellent and greatly appreciated videos! When you said Bucks Co. I was wondering if you happened to be there for the event tbis summer. Happiest New Year Yet to you and yours, buddy!
The road in Tyler park used to have the wood car stops all along the drive. They have slowly disappeared since they were installed when the park was created in the 70’s. I think the third park location is most likely.
I know it's site 3 because I love that park and always will. As a younger man I would visit that park everyday living in Newtown . I would take my son for long walks through the park in his stroller and passed or parked in that area everyday for a few years. I knew it was site 3 before you even went looking. 😂 The people watching with me were dumbfounded 😂
Love Signs, favourite movie ever , i was about 13 or 14 when i went to see it in the cinema and i left that cinema feeling kinda scared but also wowed by it, it was the very first movie i liked from start to finnish. Part of me whats another movie in that world but i also dont it ruined
When you said the reflector is at a local antique store, is it the one from the movie? Also do you have any information on the antique store that has it?
it wasn't a pool hall it was home to the American shuffleboard and billiard company they made pool tables here for 100 years before closing in the late 90s
That's definitely the most iconic scene from Signs in my mind! I wish I knew where it was filmed. Looks like it may have been in the studio in the behind the scenes documentary.
The big white bldg across from the Army Recruiter is the Brick Hotel. Used to be really good until the new owners took over. They wound up on Hotel Hell 😂

I would be intrigued if a sequel to Signs was announced, but I don't think modern movie making (or modern Shyamalan) could recreate that atmosphere.
Blast from the past I saw this and many others at Skyline theatre Hyderabad .
