Hi, I would like to ask, if I want to continue with my game design making 3d game ready models should I learn Maya? Currently working in 3ds max and saw that Maya is being used much more
As long as you are learning the concepts of how to model efficiently you should be good. Some studios use Max and others Maya, but the tools between the two are similar enough. So if you become really good using one software it won't be too difficult to transition to another if you have to.
@@3dextrude ok thank you so much
Nice tutorial Thanks. I'm a long time max and maya user but I did this tutorial completely in blender 2.81 and painter. Everything from start to finish.
That's awesome!!
Always enjoy watching these
Thank you!
Pretty cute!
Love the video, and the music, right in the feelings. the same feelings how make me want to learn how to make video game assets
Awesome!
Good job man
really cool !
Thank you!
Beautiful.
Thank you!
I am confused in uv unwrapping.I don't able to understand when should we uv-unwrap the object . Before sculpting or after sculpting . In some videos of yours you uv-unwrap the object before sculpting and in some other videos you uv-unwrap the object after sculpting. Please help me .Thank you
Note for me:

4:14
4:59

could've named those parts but okay
Hello!
I was wondering if you have planned a Black Friday sale on your Gumroad?
Keep the amazing work :)
Yes, will announce tomorrow :)
@@3dextrude Awesome
Did you make the quarters of the object into instances when you deleted and duplicated them? Not sure if the question made sense.
They were just regular copies, but they can be instances too.
turn it on 2x speed and i feel like its a speed run
Hi sir how did u transfer the deeper deetails into ur lowpoly mesh?
By baking the high poly unto it in Substance Painter
Why do you bake the maps in Substance Painter one after the other? Doesn't doing them all at once give the same result?
It does, but if something goes wrong I don't want to wait for all to bake. That's why I bake normal first to see if everything looks good. And I do AO last because it's most likely to crash , so just in case so I can save the scene during stages
@@3dextrude Ahh okay, makes sense. Just wanted to understand the reasoning behind it. Thanks!
wow
Casually listening to some yu-gi-oh trading card game music while making a stylized fountain. Why not, right? :D
Haha, glad someone recognized the music
@3dEx any black friday sale on environment course?
Just posted a Story here on RUclips and Instagram for Black Friday deals, unfortunately it does not include the env course as I promised I wouldn't make discounts when I launched it.
@@3dextrude the thing is I have no idea how much course going to help me, if i buy something for 120$(inc VAT) i want to make sure its gonna be a very good use, do you think this course going to help a beginer on texturing? because I bought courses before, and its absolutely no explanation there on why the guy doing things, its like "ok now lets do this this and this there you go you made a stylised sword thanks for 20$" well i made a sword but have no idea what a hell i did to make it look like that
and this is a big problem of 90% of all courses
The actual tecturing part is not too in-depth because a premade material is made for that. The tutorial on how to make that material is included.
@@3dextrude yeah i noticed you used SD for that and when you were making those materials do you explain in depth?
Dungeon dice monsters??
Eternal Duelist, all tracks are listed at bottom of video description
Why not just make it from a single object?
That could be done too, but I thought it was easier this way
3dEx is there a difference?
how did you render these? @9:04
The static image? That's a zbrush render and turntable is Marmoset Toolbag
Music in video - not the best for this content.....
:(
well some 8 bit music is nice, but this one just raped my ears with the melody and the mastering, the squeeky sounds being waaay too loud. wasnt good, i agree.
damn that music raped my ears, wtf
it was so bad, RUclips had automatically put your comment on spam
the music? or comment? or both? :D im guessing both, nice art tho =)
