I love the fact that they made Robin wear an early Nightwing costume to show the direction he was going to take in the later canceled sequels.

It’s hilarious how Arnold seems to be having the time of his life, but Clooney seems to be miserable because he thinks this movie is beneath him.

Arnold's performance is actually great. You can tell he's having a ton of fun and doesn't take it seriously. Honestly these are fun films. The music is awesome, the action is serviceable, and it has a weirdly modernized Adam West camp.
Yeah. I'm sure he enjoyed the role, but Arnold almost had a heart attack wearing the suit.

There was a light placed inside his mouth for one particular scene where he says: Tonight's forecast, a freeze is coming.

The lighting in this scene actually makes George’s batsuit look amazing.
The problem with making his suit blue was that every scuff shows that even more on film, so ever time it got scuffed, the production team had to throw it out and get a new one

Fun fact: they didn’t use a green screen or stunt double for this. Arnold Schwarzenegger actually did his own stunts and flew off the ship

Actually no, watch the making of it and you will see there were a couple stunt doubles for Mr. Freeze. Even for Arnie wearing that 80 pound suit was too much.

In a way Arnold’s over the top delivery is a welcome reprieve from clooneys apathetic lines. The entire movie you get the sense Batman is entirely bored to be there.
Hence mr freeze's sences are the most entertaining parts of the movie. That shows bad acting a list actors are only doing the movie as a cash grab.
Clooney didn't want to play Batman in the first place. His agent only got him the part because Val Kilmer didn't want to come back for another sequel.
@@musicman76enator there were different rumors that Val didn’t come back because Schumacher said he couldn’t work with him again, I heard he was too busy with the saint. Either way, it was weird losing Keaton but Val did a great job.

Arnie on the other hand was actually great if I watch the film with the mindset it's a modern day remake of a Adam West Batman

When I was young, I loved this film regardless what anyone thought. Now, I love it because it’s one of those silly and fun movies.
Just watch the Batman and Robin with the mindset of " This is a silly, laugh-it-off version of Batman featuring the Terminator as the special guest " and it will all be fine :)
I like to think of it as a 2 hour long toy commercial.

What is sad about this movie is it does have some truly great scenes and this is one of them.
Batman couldn't reasonably have known that Mr Freeze's gun can slow down his fall, so when Batman ripped off his wings he was trying to kill the guy.

O’Donnel’s acting was truly the best in this film!
He made the crappy writing in his lines sound Cool and IN-place 🎉 not to mention his non-verbals (thawing Batman’s wrists)

I had honestly forgotten about this ridiculous sequence, but I still find joy when watching. Not because it's good, just because it's so outlandish and somewhat comic booky, but not entirely.

George's Batman probably could've worked, if the writing, directing, and everything were better. His voice is pretty badass and has a lot of authority

Clooneys Batman is probably the strongest on screen Batman. He did so much and has the most on screen feats...! I can’t think of the rest performing at this level.

I watched this without sound. Visually and action wise, it’s really not a bad film. The Arkham games took a lot of visual notes from this and Forever. Also, I don’t think Arnold deserves all the hate he gets. His performance was just fine. His body language added to this Freeze. It’s just not the Freeze we know.
The BEST and ONLY good thing about this movie it's Arnold's performance.
Soundtrack of Arkham city is very similar to this one.

One of the most underrated movies in existence.
Nolan's Mr Freeze would be a disturbed ice cream man who uses a flame thrower to kill his enemies and can't stand the cold. His side kick will be named sprinkles.
And it still would have made for a better movie than Batman & Robin

Schwarzenegger didn't use his weapon three times against Batman, so he let Batman survive withour injuries on purpose. And how could Robin possibly survive this, and how ludicrous was the scene when Batman used his laser on the water?
This movie was an abomination. However I did find Schwartzenegger a guilty pleasure in the role of Mr Freeze. Despite the corny lines and puns you can’t help but be entertained by Arnold in this movie. It’s almost like he knew it was going to be a disaster and just said what the hell and hammed it up to 11 😂

That wave! It is possible, but highly unlikely, Riddler or Joker might do something like that but Mr Freeze! It's symbolic of how this movie skimped on exploring a rather deep and tragic character who in the right hands would've maybe drawn some sympathy.

Mr freeze wasn't the sympathetic char we know and love until the TAS took creative liberties with the character. Shumaker was making a n Adam West type of movie which horribly clashed with what people wanted out of Batman at this point.

Poorly written, hammed up villains. Villains make the hero.
Schwartzbruder1 Warner Bros is also to blame. They wanted to “lighten up” the series after the bad PR from Batman Returns and make it kid friendly and this is what we got. Granted the first two films had a few campy moments like the Joker defacing all the paintings while listening and dancing to Partyman from Prince which was and still is very fun to watch, the reporter laughing herself to death thanks to the Joker gassing the city is funny and scary at the same time, the Penguin sending his baby Penguins to destroy Gotham and him riding in his rubber ducky ride was silly and didn’t fit the tone of the film especially after the Masquerade Ball between Bruce and Selina when they found out who their true identities but like I said it was very few moments of camp in the first two films the Joker and the Penguin, while hilarious guys were still very violent and sadistic guys and the movies where for adults even though Batman Returns was very out there. Very fun and interesting to watch but was out there. In Batman Forever the villains didn’t have much menace to them and in this film there was NO menace. Both Two-Face and Mr Freeze were two of the most sympathetic villains of the Batman universe and in both films, they were turned into jokes.
