Thank you for this. I have an ECCR (iqsub) for almost 3 years and have practised bailout from various depths (to 80m). But, I noticed, just like novice divers getting experience, I'm dropping (lead) weight due to my increased experience. Finetuning my weight also means I've less tolerance to make an ascent with full counterlungs. Just squeezing my dry suit and emptying my physical lungs will probably not be sufficient. Your video makes me wonder if I still can control my ascent if I need all my attention to manage my discomfort after a bailout decision. Great counter-intuitive paradigm: we need to practice more when our experience increases!
Take care of your eye Achim! Well wishes and prayers for a full and speedy recovery. Expanding gas in the counter lung with an ECCR continuing top off PO2 on a run away assent. Could be quite the train wreck if the point to manage this by expelling the counter lungs slips the divers mind. Gad the diver got a pass and didn’t get a DCS hit! Great content and reminder. Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter
Hallo Achim, check mal (falls es Dich stört) => das INTRO ist ohne Ton (hatte mich irritiert❗️) Erst ab 0':17" kommt Ton. Liebe Grüße aus dem Wuppertal >Lutz
Take all the breaks you need we have plenty of material that you graciously provided over the years

This is like the most important skill on a CCR? In my CCR user class every second dive was ended like that.
Hallo Achim,
