How about Woody and Gus have Achim on the show for some science of diving, and a deeper look into one of Achims wreck explorations? That would be amazing!
Just a small point, there are no stock ECCRs on the market that "add diluent" to automatically drop the Po2 via computer and solenoid. That is a manual act by the diver at depth or, as you said, mechanically on descent.
Thanks for this video. I’m currently taking my eccr class on the Hollis P2. My instructor is very knowledgeable but talks fast. I just watched Dr Harris video on rebreather 101
Thanks for all the great content Achim. I'm about to do my training on a Kiss Spirit, but I wanted to get your opinion on the Mares Horizon for Recreational diving. I live in south florida, and I like the idea of the horizon as a super-light-weight scr solution. What's your thoughts?
Does the counter lung become the primary BCD effectively as you descend, followed by the drysuit and then a wing? Seems like that would be the priority list.
no, you use wing for buoyancy only. Drysuit is only as fully filled that you prevent squeezes - like it should be in every dive. The counter lung is only filled with the "minimum loop volume" - the amount of gas you need for inhalation
I see that we are still living rent free in your head. The funniest part is that you say we never dive and are sofa divers but then “react” to a video of us cave diving! Hahahaha - classic. Nothing like “proving your point” that we are not real divers by analyzing a video of us doing a real dive. What a dummy. Maybe spend more time researching how to create compelling content instead of worrying about us? 🤷🏻♂️ By the way, your favorite sofa divers will be back at it again diving on tomorrow’s video. Maybe people will watch your expert reaction to that one? Afterall you know how much people love when non-cave divers criticize actual cave divers. 🤭
Thanks for the shoutout, and the explanation.

I freaked out when Achim said click on dive talk and watch their videos
Happy to see that I got the best trainer available on market! THX for the obvious confirmation that I made the right choice going with you👌!
Achim do an interview with DiveTalk with Woody and Gus, would be awesome
That would be amazing! Let us see if Gus and Woody are up to it. It would contribute Dive Talk.

Excellent explained!
Achim nice content on the basics of the rebreather. Cheers, #SeattleRingHunter
Great explanation. Thank you so much Achim. Just completed my SCR Mares Horizon training and I would like to know your view on this SCR.
Nice!!! Thank you for sharing!
thanks for the explanation 😀
some time ago, I dived IDA-59, which works as SCR I assume 🤔🧐
Nice video I have one question can a eccr not Manuel jused as well ?
What a coincidence! Just finished a video by Richard Harris from 2 hours ago on the exact same topic😄

Achem can you do a rebreather history video
I’m a dummy so…perfect video for me.
I'm offended that you don't call it "Rebreather for dummies" ! 😂
