Use of the instant win button isn't forced on players and you can still experience a game over in battles, right? Asking because I'm seeing a lot of people complain about its existence. However, if Im free to ignore the function similarly to the level skip function in Splosion Man then I don't see the problem.
If you told me that this was an RPG primarily inspired by Earthbound, and not primarily inspired by Chrono Trigger, I would actually believe you for a change.
Seriously are companies like SQUARE ENIX or ATLUS paying you guys to give the best review of their games and any other game that isn't SQENIX or ATLUS don't exceed a 7? You hardly showed enough of the game, where is the interaction with objects in the game, the double and triple techs etc. ? Totally missing in action in your review
I guess, but sometimes people have to have those conversations. That’s what I meant about the social nuances that we joke about or try to navigate with friends are the same that these kids do. Now, I can also see gamers just being exhausted on the social moral debate. I don’t think this game takes a huge stance on anything, but sometimes you just want to be anywhere except reality ha. So yea, I’m with you. I hope the game finds its audience.
@@NoisyPixelNews Totally agree on having the conversations and enjoy having them. I just dont enjoy it in games because it becomes a one sided "this is how you should feel" about a topic. I'm trying to wrap my head around any game that really makes any real heavy handed statements (edit: that I really loved) but normally enjoy storylines along the Bioshock line where yeah, it's definitely political but the dystopian mentality of it all gives it a bit more weight and room for interpretation. The commentary on race, and imperialism there was done to perfection in my eyes. But yeah, those are difficult topics as well, i just fear heavy handedness in games. I hope games lime Dustborn have their fans since I'm sure that a lot of work went into them. Bleh, just writing this is confusing because it beckmes a, does a creator focus on their message or what will bring the largest audience. I'm siure when it comes to a personal game such as this the message held a great deal of weight which makes the wider appeal take a bit of a back seat. Heck, now I do kinda want tk try it out. Great review by the way.
@joshmcgootermier2301 ha no, I totally follow you. There are definitely some extremes, and I think gamers are getting better at spotting those. This game will likely not be for everyone, but I didn’t feel like it was pandering.
People know what gender they are. Just because you label yourself something, doesn’t mean everyone is going to agree with it. I labeled myself a billionaire once, nobody agreed. The bank wouldn’t comply. Reality is different than whatever nonsense people keep making up. Please educate yourselves on biology and the importance of natural body, instead of mutilating yourselves with all kinds of medicine only to be even more depressed and miserable.
“Too ugly” is a bit harsh. I don’t think they’re ugly at all, but I know people have preferences in graphics. I personally really like the hand animation and the contrast between colorful world and dark narrative.
4:21 That instant win button is so annoying. What's the point of getting stronger in an RPG if you can already beat anything with one button.
It’s not annoying. They just need to find a good approach to it. Like having it be only in the easiest mode.
A potential buy turned into a hard skip in one sentence

Was kind of intrested till I saw the I win every battle button
ruins the whole combat system of the game

Did I say Chrono Trigger?

Moment i heard "the wrong gender" knew it wasn't for me.
Surely some people will enjoy it and hope it does well. Looks like it took a lot of work.

Thanks for the heads up. Money saved. I recommend waiting for Cairn: Mathair's Curse as a substitute instead.

"referring to someone as the wrong gender" yup, this channel and game isn't for me apparently. GL
Your loss, nerd.
art style is too ugly for my taste. I still have bunch of other better looking RPGs to play so no thanks
