    Geddy Lee (Lead singer, Bassist and keyboardist) ran his sound through the stadiums sound system so had no wall of speakers behind him like the lead guitarist. So to even the stage they started with washers and dryers doing the band and crews laundry during shows. They then progressed to rotisserie ovens cooking chickens for the band, roadies and other crews for the after show meals.

    Geddy put those dryers behind his side of the stage because Alex had his stacks of amps, but Geddy doesn't use those so it balances out the stage. During the concert, he'll reach in and grab t-shirts to throw out. They have also used rotisserie chicken ovens.

    A drummer of drummers. A one man drum line. RIP Professor. If you ask others who the best drummer ever has been, MOST people would say Neil Peart. In fact he ranked number 1 drummer 10 out of 11 years in a row.

    • @Prozak63
      @Prozak63 Год назад +4

      They actually used them to balance the look of the stage and make it linear because they used direct boxes rather than a large group of amps taking up far less stage. They've used several props including commercial rotisserie ovens cooking chicken. With the dryers, they were coin operated with Canadian quarters that were full of special event shirts that were tossed to the crowd near the end of the show.

    Yeah, what a lot of new people to the band don’t realize is that RUSH are 3 very silly men. So yeah, washing machines onstage. I won’t go into why right now, but their sense of humor is as legendary as their music. You have to spend some time with them to get all the inside jokes. Their Old School fans (like me) love them even more because on top of the fantastic musicianship, they are really funny. Especially Alex, he’s awesome! RUSH ARMY! 😁👍

    It’s called “limb independence”
    Neil had it for each limb. What it means is you are able to use your limbs in full independence of the other ones.he could keep 2 tempos going at the same time.
    And every sound in this is triggered by Neil. No help.

    Dude, when you sat back in your chair all amazed... That was just him finishing the easy part and going off into a little bit more. lmao at you. Sorry, not mocking but that's a it funny. You were humbled... Most drummers should be able to do about half this stuff but they don't/can't. Too many think they're all that but they can't keep time. Some of what he incorporated into this solo is reminiscent of drummers +40 years ago. Plus modernizing it very well. Louis Belson, Gene Krupa, Buddy Rich... Long list of wonders.
