i prefer bottom vet with them, because with bottom they get 27% more max hp which benefits nicely with the 40% more max hp they get with abilitys.
They are insane tanky with the bottom vet vs everything that isnt polearm and i really like that you can survive a lot of fights with them.
But yes, if you just want them to deal max damage in one fight top is better :)
Imo for heavy units it's always health over raw dmg. You can do the same damage as top line, just takes a bit more time and micro.
Bot line is the best line, they end up killing units because it take some time to kill them
It triggers me, that they use a german name and add a "s" at the end of the name. Which does not make any sense.

Your looking for gold teir damage from purps, those guys are brawlers I personally went bottom line they can fight and stay in the fight with the 2 attack buffing themselves and brawling.
I feel like they're a good follow up cav. a lot of the clips were you going in first which is not ideal. And others where the team didn't support once the fight started. I think in more organised fights they could do a lot of work potentially

I’m not impressed with this cav…. Usually when I see cav I panic and try to get out of the way with my melee infantry…. I see this cav and I charge back lol
I think they are supposed to crzsh ranged and out of position units and overwhelm enemies already engaged in combat to tip the favor towards your mates. Not as conventional charge frint line type
this is the problem with YYD
The Kriegsbruders have some good burst,
but unlike YYD
they do not hit 6 targets at once
they do not have CCi when using their abilities
they do not have big damage bonuses
and so people are playing them like they used to play YYD these last 2 seasons, but they don't perform like YYD, they feel like they do loads, but when you look closer and track them they do almost nothing
they need to be played much more conservatively, pick the fights, kill the stragglers / outliers, they are super fast so they can get to the enemies that put themselves in a poor position before they can react, instead of using the speed to die as fast as they can
totally agree, Yolo Cav has corrupted are minds!
And all of that is good. These guys are a balanced cav unit. Slightly on the weaker side but for a tier 4 they are fine. You can't have them be tankier than Monastics or have a better charge than monastics, cataphracts or Hussars. In terms of tier 4 we will see but they seem to be worse than dagger axes.
which is how cavalry should be played with skill and attentiveness to the flow of the battle not just YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET=100+KILLS lol
@@thetrav2100 I agree, that's why I said theya re a balanced unit. So far the past 2 seasons we have been getting well- balanced units. Even Musha were strong but not bananas op.

I am sad that I can't test them or play in general right now, because I am sick since the Weekend, I was really hyped for them but now it seems like they nerfed them hard since Ptr and they are kinda useless
they are not that bad, I think the fit in nicely with the other t4 cavs. plus its only been a day, so some good cav player will find a way to make theses work well and be really strong :)

They are good, just need the Great Bastian Doctorine, the one with 80defence and reduce dmg taken by 5%. and with bottom lane mastery, it's work perfectly. Although it will not as good as Dagger Axe, but having a mobility Cavalry with great Recovery and hunt enemy range and flanking, it's a good unit overall, but not the best.
yeah they need some docts to be good but man they are fun when they got the tanky docts
I think you just need to learn how to play them properly. For examples, maybe don't charge into a group of shields and men at arms and expect a miracle or maybe go after the guns in the back before trying to take down shields (that's what killing your cavs, the guns btw). This unit isn't meant to open clashes but to flank and disrupt (that's why they are so fast) with some sustainability.
The way you played them ANYTHING will get wiped, even reapers.
Kriegsbruders are very helpful during expeditions. And they look badass. That’s the only reason why I got them 😂
I think a breakthrough like the prefecture cav would help them a lot and maybe give them some more survivability

i thought the main point of horses were to charge and charge and charge, not sit there and fight otherwise they die right? I never place my cav into fights unless they are outnumbered by me.
What if they got some sort of active block when using one of their skills, not nearly as much as say, MAA or paladins but enough to keep them alive long enough to do damage.
Is this game actually fun? I remember playing when it came out a while yet and it felt really pay to win, im not too opposed to games that give you ectra content for paying up but if the game wants me to drop hundreds to be competitive I'd prefer to avoid it. I love games like mount and blade and the concept appeals to me.

@SuperKitowiec is this true? Iirc you had to buy siege weapons and Units and stuff, then again it's been a while and my memory might be wrong and even if it's not wrong the game mighta changed. Is it a grind fest if you don't pay?
@@Bingusgingus i play since seaon 5 and you never had to buy siege or anything like that with $$$. There is a grind but they made it easier

I think pressing the doctrine skill right after activating the 2 skill might cancel the 2 skill? Have you tried going 3 before 2?
After using full assault, if you panic and use X or any other command they are done for, but even if their life drops and lose a few of them just leave them in full assault mode, they are constantly running around and very hard to kill and they constantly replenish their health, i personally liked them alot but they need some kind of cc immunity while in full assault, but then they would be imbalanced and OP :D

I didn't want to say needs a buff or a nerf as i like to let a few weeks go by and see if people find a better way to play them. As it stands they are good 👍 but I think in most situations, dagger axe lancers maybe slightly better. But we will see over the next few weeks 👌 thanks for your comment!
@@Plumsion i thought about it again and it made me think of sipahis. You send them in, they do fun stuff but then you lose them all and see you only got 10 kills.
Prefecture Cavs are way better and cause more issue cause they are agile and quick

They look like garbage...too bad. If the zweihanders are also trash....might be skipping this season almost fully. Too bad, i was excited for it
Remember that melee cav ai may get overhauled soon to be more efficient. So they are possobly about to get buffed. Also Zweihanders are possibly also not that strong on first glance. Because they are supposed to be anti cav but i doubt they will address the one cav that ruins fun and winged hussars probably outrange them now that even fortebraccio lose aganist them.
That third skill seems useless
After testing for a few rounds at lvl 18, I think they are subpar on top vet. Charge is mediocre, 2nd ability seems very lackluster. (can't tell much difference between that or a normal attack without the special animation) but my biggest gripe is them being classed as cav that can sustain combat. They still die rather quick. Will try them at bot vet, but overall so far I think they should get a buff in sustainability and 2nd skill needs a buff in dmg/aoe. It would set them apart from the charge cav.
Also, had someone charge me with these. Full armor poleaxe. 4-5 horses hit me and I only lost like 4k hp. Enemy player raged hard.
I think they are potentially strong especially once the melee cav changes they announced will be implemented. I just hope they are a viable alternative to dagger axe. Also if 3 stacks of them charge they still wipe whats in their way.
Yup, after having compared the veteran lines I'd give top vet a 3/10 and bot vet a solid 8,5/10. They become tankier and their health regen is impressive.
