Without these hard working and humble farmers, the whole country will suffer food shortages. Each time we take in a grain of rice, remember them of their hardships that keep us alive.

Guizhou was once one of the poorest province of the country. The terrains are mountainous and rugged. There is a saying, Guizhou has no flat land. People must terrace the land to grow food for survival. Within the past few years, the province got help from the central government as digital activities have been directed towards the province.

Wise people to grow rice ecologically and multiple use the water fields for growing meat and fish. Imagine the immense labour behind any corn of rice! Those terraces must have been built for generations. But the most important is that people are self supplying their lifes.

to breed fish in the rice field permit to inhance incomes per mu. otherwise, the terraced rice field dont have enought profitability in comparison with wide plain rice field mechanised system ... fish being more expensive than rice. the same with ducks.

In addition to harvesting, the planting process is also old tradition. The Miao farmers have to use manual labor to grow rice on terrace field as machine can not be used on terrace land.

These farmers might not be considered wealthy , but they are hardworking people . And if their smiles are any indication, they take great pride in their work and are happy in themselves.
