I had one just exactly like it. That was my second bike from 8 bikes I had all my life. Watching it and listen to the sound brings me back such nice memories of my youth. I really loved that bike.
Wow very cool !!!!! This was the first new bike I ever purchased, $1065.00. Great bike. This was the first year for the 185. My best friend had a 1978 xl175 and my 185 would smoke his. Many changes in one year.

i am 6' , it was a great size and ride.. mostly a cruiser.. i did upgrade to a 450 which felt better, but this is more classic/collector/fun show off bike

THanks mang, It's such a fun ride. I acutally spent my tax return on it (1250) , what a super deal. I hope to pass it on to future generations.

i think they are the originals. Ya, hopin to get a little less knobby ones soon. They handle jus fine though on cornering streets.
