I know drag race isnt the peak of an artist career but i wanna see her on an all winners season cause i feel like the amount of growth she has done needs to be on an international stage. It's a reality show but seeing her be inmortalized and her drag forever documented now thats on it's finest would be such a magical moment to look back on years later
To see the reality of their art I think the best is to watch the videos of their shows (and of course, if you can, go see them in a theater). There is plenty of videos for free on their youtube page. The problem with RPDR is the forced story telling and the manipulative editing. Nothing is controled by the queens and sometimes they're being awfully used.
Drag Race is indeed the pinnacle of any Drag Queens career. Most of Sasha’s fans would not know who she was today. If not for Drag Race she would be just one more very talented, unknown drag performer.
@@maxwonder5908 Woaaah. I respect your opinion, but I disagree immensely. I love Drag Race but it is NOT for everyone. It’s not even that inclusive. They literally just started including the trans community a few years ago, there are no drag kings and only have 1 cis gender female contestant. If all these people weren’t included before does that mean they would never reach the pinnacle of their careers? I don’t think. Drag Queens definitely do not need Drag Race.
This is probably the most down to earth closet tour from a Drag Queen I've ever seen. A true person with a real organization system, true artist, a true icon, real person, Miss Sasha is everything and above.
Sasha and Raja are two queens I absolutely adore for being into their craft in such an elegant and royal manner😍they don’t have to prove anything to anyone
Omfg your grandmother worked in the Triangle Shirt waist factory??? I have studied that tragedy and how it shaped the labor laws in the USA for years! The scholarship I had for my BA was funded by the bequest of Frances Perkins who was the 1st female cabinet secretary in the US and she wrote the New Deal for FDR, but few know that the reason she became a labor rights activist was because she witnessed the Triangle Shirt Waist fire and was so horrified that she worked to make sure others were safe at work in the future. So when I went to do my history degree, I had to make sure I learned everything I could about that factory. I am so glad that your grandmother was not harmed in the fire! Now I need to read your book to hear more about her!!!!
She made a video about it and posted it on her instagram a couple years ago. You can still watch it if you scroll back on her page to September 14, 2021.
Yes yes yes !!! I felt totally relaxed and happy while watching this video !! And the way it is organized and how it almost turned into a documental because of so much interesting information, I fell in love with Sasha’s voice 😍😍😍
Sasha is the most incredible artist to ever be introduced via Drag Race. They are PHENOMENAL - no exaggeration necessary. This queen is the end all be all. I hope to experience one of their shows in my lifetime.
I love that you have your Grandmother's doll; I don't think it is creepy, I think it is charming. I believe that dolls protect the secrets and dreams of the children who loved them. You are a caretaker of a special part of your Grandmother's childhood.
I wish this was 5 hours long. I’m mesmerized. This is confirmation that yes we need a wig tutorial. Thank you for sharing your vision, your brilliance, your heart. Shout out to the whole Velour family! 🥰
I don't remember Sasha's voice being this sensual on their season of Drag Race but maybe it's about feeling at home in your own space. At any rate, Sasha's voice is so smooth, sensual & soothing and I could listen to it for hours.
Sasha or whoever reads this I just want you to know that I watched you on drag race 5 years ago as a baby queer with crippling anxiety and you made me feel safe, loved, and represented. Now all those years later I still find myself absolutely enamored with you. Thank you for being the kind of activist and artist I aspire to be.
Could it be.. that you get even MORe beautiful as time moves along!? One of the most stunning people I have ever encountered, albeit online. All my love and continued success!
I need fans to truly appreciate’s Sasha as a drag artist. I feel like she would benefit so much in an all winners season, the roses moment unintentionally had people overlook all her work and wit her season.
Thank U God for this incredible artist / performer/ Queen for sharing her Art. My Grandmother was also part of the 1911 Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. We also had family members that jumped to their death on 9/11. COVID-19 wiped out all of our elders except for my Dad. It’s incredible how people endure the unexpected
Sasha’s artistry and fashion is on another level. No one has ever come close to this level of talent. Always number one for me, to this day I wear her shirt proudly.
I'm so happy now that you're posting on RUclips again! I started getting into drag race in the summer of 2022, and I'm glad that the show has introduced me to you and the art of drag
Wow, nothing more exciting than a beautiful, smart, funny, fabulous performer sharing their creative process in a journey through their wardrobe. Cheers to one of my very favorite Queens, who becomes more beautiful every day~
You and vander von odd have been such huge influences on my drag and art style. I have a performance inspired your home performance and every time I hear you talk about your work it reminds me of why I do what I do
I love when drag performers go through their closet. So much color! So much sparkle! It’s like a magical world where anything is possible. And on top of it, Sasha has such amazing insight on life society and history so I always learn something. It inspires me to find ways to incorporate more color and magic into my world and honor my own history. Thank you!!
OMG I can't wait for your book ✨️! Thanks for sharing this with your fans 😍 and answering your question, I love your Gollum look (and performance as well) and you should definitely make a wig making tutorial. It would be different and original as all your art 💜
I feel like I've just attended a seminar lol (in the best way), as a history lover this was so fascinating to me and I appreciate your passion and knowledge of fashion history! x
I’m 99% sure I was at that exact glitterbomb performance where u were in the Gollum outfit and u did wuthering heights ( if it was in Cambridge in late 2017/ early 2018) and Cheryl hole was one of the queens that came on before u) !! I literally still think about that show, it was the first drag show I’d ever been to and is still literally one of my favourite drag performances I’ve ever seen 💙 yours was the first time I actually saw how broad and creative and brilliant and crazy the spectrum of drag can be , and maybe it’s weird but it feels so special and cool to see that that performance / outfit was memorable for you because seeing you in that performance is so memorable for me !
Personal archives of aesthetic functionality are also a delight for me too. I literally don't care if it is snow globes or toy trains lol. So long as is has an aesthetic spine/ skeleton, I eat it up
I lived in Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 through out the 90"s and attended many drag shows. I don't remember any of my drag friends having to hide who they are. Drag was very out in the open. Maybe in America it's different 🤔 I'm inlove with Sasha's wardrobe 😍 💃💃💃
This was so deeply calming and fascinating at the same time. Insightful and beautiful Sasha you so well spoken and sweet. I adore you we miss you in Housyon ♥️
As I was watching this I was thinking this closet tour looks different than the others. When it gets to the end I realize that this is a Valour production. I loved the cut aways to videos of wearing the garments.
Sasha! You are a true artist.... I just love watching you (sorry, that didn't mean to sound creepy).... your makeup is unbelievably gorgeous!!! Thank you!!
Of course Sasha would turn a closet tour into a deeply philosophical video full of interesting and avant garde commentary
my thought exactly hahaha
He needs to renovate his closet, I'm afraid it might catch fire 🔥😅😅
Basic bitchies could never...

id love her on all winners 2
Really? I honestly felt like she was full-grown when she won Season 9. Kind of like Bianca. A perfect professional.

I wish my life was half as organised as Sasha's drag basement.
I'll take a quarter honestly

i laughed at “down to earth” part bcs its literally her basement 😭😭😭

Sasha's serene, intelligent way of speaking always calms me down instantly. She seems like such an amazing human.
Forreal, I could listen for hours

Yes me too, I love both of them as they have really regal bearing but, with a huge injection of self deprecating humour!
I'm so excited they're both going to Vancouver soon on tour! I might get to see them both live 😭
Class Acts 🤍☑️

This is the TED TALK we all need. I really wished she had a huge platform to educate through her example.
Listening to Sasha talk is one of the most calming things in the world❤❤❤❤❤❤
yes sasha should try ASMR

How on earth do you look younger now than you did when you won on Drag Race! YOU LOOK AMAZING!!
Loved the closet tour! I'm a 60 year old white, hetro female. I stand by you, and all LGBTQ. Thank you for being you!
I love how everytime I watch anything Sasha does I learn so much.

What you do is so important. Thank you.
I’m amazed at how organised you are. Then again, why am I surprised? You’re a wonder! 😂♥️
I still wish she would consider going back for an all winners season because Sasha's drag and wisdom is everything
Are you telling me we have Sasha Velour today because her great-grandmother was late to work?? 😮
I gues that depends if she had her child yet? Sasha's grandmother/father. I guess we have to wait for the book!
omg! So happy algorithm brought mehere. Love n miss you sasha
Sasha velour is the most dignified queen to ever step foot on the Drag Race stage
You and vander von odd have been such huge influences on my drag and art style. I have a performance inspired your home performance and every time I hear you talk about your work it reminds me of why I do what I do
I'm loving your organization. My neurodivergent hoarder mess of a cosplay basement is very jelly. Like this is goals to me.
Sasha is just a.m.a.z.i.n.g , she elevates drag so much to the artistic and expressional part of it, I just simply love it

*rubs eyes* Has it been that long since I've seen season 9? I don't recognize this person, but they're very pretty.
It is just the eyebrows..?
i can barely concentrate on what she’s saying bc she’s so insanely beautiful it’s hypnotizing
Fabulous tour and everything is so well organized.

En serio no te merecemos Sasha!! 🥰 Eres demasiado arte para la humanidad
Thank you for showing us your inner sanctum. I love hearing the stories/meanings behind the pieces. ❤️
In my day, it was a struggle just to come out of the closet. These days everyone’s going back into the closet, in the most fabulous fashion!
