Was abit sad when he got sacked but don’t forget he gave lots of debuts to academy players and also rashford. He is a brave manager who believes in himself
Understandable with Mourinho available at the time, but i would have liked to kept him on and trusted his methods. It's sad to see him so happy celebrating Lingard's winner in the FA Cup final then the next day he was sacked.
@Mark O'Brien Yh exactly, despite him making a lot of failed signings I still believe that Man Utd could have progressed and possibly built a future with him and his squad. It’s also quite disrespectful that the board decided to sack him, despite winning the FA Cup but I believe he got sacked as he didn’t make top 4 with United.
But I don't see him as a failure in United, he was the only right one after sir Alex and he won the cup for us and gave us so many young lads like Anthony and Marcus , I do not see him as a failure in United just another dick Woodward move ...
I like Louis. But didn’t like how we played. Although, considering the players he’s had, it’s obvious that he did a great job. Had he stayed up until now, I don’t think man untd would’ve been much worse off, if not better off
This guy got us playing the most boring football in our history. People used to leave old Trafford in the 70th minute. I will never forget him parking the bus after the 15th minute and passing sideways hence 70% possession!!!
What ! Big Sam , Van Gaal must ask Mourninho about Big Sam . Even today 03/04/2021 Tuchel's Chelsea was on brink of club record for not conceding a goal and the Big Sam came and scored five with West Bromwich Albion.
@Flaming Skull he don't have the players to support the German way of playing, he was at the edge of a treble In bayern. Wrong manager at the wrong club, victims of circumstances. Call it boring when bayern's Flick play with these kind of strat could destroy Barcelona to pieces.
Like the man and respect his brand of football but it did not suit United. He got rid of some of our better players too. Great that he won a trophy though
he was saying that 71% of West Hams passes were played into the forwards which is considered long ball play and 49% of Man U passes were played into the Forwards which is a more balanced approach.
Man United have been an absolute banter club these past few years. Where do they get these nut job managers from? Something in the water at Old Trafford.
If you guys think he was so funny in this interview, you should see him in his first Barca reign.. made argument with those Spanish media was quite funny as well 😂
he was saying that 71% of West Hams passes were played into the forwards which is considered long ball play and 49% of Man U passes were played into the Forwards which is a more balanced approach.
LVG set Manchester United back 2/3 years when we were trying to rebuild. If it was a 10 year rebuild plan, then LVG would have been okay, I guess. But his signings were awful. The players he decided to let go were questionable too. Then, there is that unbearable style of play. Atleast, OGS is making good signings and the football is interesting. I get it, LVG is very unique and we miss him being around. But the best decision in Manchester United post SAF era was to let him go.
More pound land Mourinho type football when he was at United, Ole plays Mourinho football, it's just the counter-attacks are faster due to Ole playing Fred, Pogba, instead of when Mourinho was at United, and preferred Fellaini, Matic
@dan kid Yh, he gives the players more freedom and allows them to express themselves more freely on the pitch. A bit like Wenger if you get what I mean.
This man talks too much. At the time, man utd were playing worse than Burnley and there was him sitting in front of the media acting like he was the manager of Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayen Munich. Bluff!
He did a Kevin Kegan here and a Rafa. He lost his cool and went out on the defensive, big sam got the better of him. Fergie would never have reacted to this comment about the long balls. Fragile egos show fragility that eventually will lead to players losing respect for the manager.
Let us know which classic Sky clips you want to see next!
Sir Alex Ferguson CL final interview where he was asked by a dumb journalist which player from Barcelona he wants on his team
he's one of those people who doesn't realise how funny he is
He’s also the only manager post Fergie i could take seriously as a rival fan, big mistake sacking him
@@patchh15 a lot of people disrespect him nowadays
Ahmad Daffa they don’t respect the history of football
@Lá Salette they are all idiots I don’t know why he bothered explaining it to them
just like Roy Keane lol

He didnt get the credit he deserved and the squad was a state. Great manager and personality
01:43 "what is the persististens"
02:40 "what the heck"
Gentleman. Unfortunately the media jumped on him from the start
His explanation is perfect, but he's not talking to a very bright audience. Neither are they writing for one.
Really didn’t expect to find myself watching a video of a Dutch man talking about ‘long balls’
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Happy learnings!
Van Gaal is box office
60% ball possession with long balls, wide and to the strikers long balls. Blue balls are the good ones but only as long you go to big Sam
Blue balls
He does have a point. He always does
His methods was just starting to come to fruition.
Then he was sacked

@The Realist Yh true.
Lmao the style of football under van gaal was fucking boring
THM2008 it had a kinda flow
He tried to play like the Netherlands did in the World Cup, but United have different quality at the time, so that was not fully his fault.
Underrated manager
😂
Cillian SeanOT its just at united he wasn’t that good.Away from united he is a brilliant manager
Haroon Nadim he was finished before he came to United. Did a good job at the World Cup, but LVG was better in the late 90’s
ZakAttack789 I’m saying he was good outside of united. After the 90’s he wasn’t finished,he was good ,not amazing
But I don't see him as a failure in United, he was the only right one after sir Alex and he won the cup for us and gave us so many young lads like Anthony and Marcus , I do not see him as a failure in United just another dick Woodward move ...
Hahahahahahah just saw the lady at the end... you gotta love Van Gaal
"We like to play with long balls" LMAO
I'm so imature
Long balls Larry
That’s sus :v
This is what happens when someone who has spent his life studying football tries to explain football to journalists who know nothing about football
01:33 no way has he just praised himself! 😂
LVG press conference was the best. Don’t watch any press conference’s nowadays
The problem was that he was trying to implement tiki taka style at Utd without the likes of xavi, iniesta and Messi to finish it off.
He had Fellaini and Ashley Young tho...😂
Wasn’t his fault he didn’t get his targets ffs
2:41😂
😭😭
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Man's actually a tactician 😂😂
Trust me lool

Hate Utd but this is one of my favourite press conferences. LVG certainly had his moments in Manchester
They should have kept him he would have done better
No one plays mind games as good as Big Sam. Really got into the head of Van Gaal.
Mourinho is the king of mind games
Pointless mind game as he has lost the match
Ah all this time I’ve thought that you use long balls to switch the play, but according to LVG long balls are used to swish the play!
The cringe on that womans face 😂😂
The lady reaction kills me 🤣😂
Whoever thought Big Sam would ratted LVG about his Long Ball Style! 😆
Reminds me of Rafa benitez's "fax"
Won us a FA cup , haven’t won one since
Another Dutch man, another FA Cup.
This guy got us playing the most boring football in our history. People used to leave old Trafford in the 70th minute. I will never forget him parking the bus after the 15th minute and passing sideways hence 70% possession!!!
When is Ole gonna start wearing that legendary classy suit?
What ! Big Sam , Van Gaal must ask Mourninho about Big Sam . Even today 03/04/2021 Tuchel's Chelsea was on brink of club record for not conceding a goal and the Big Sam came and scored five with West Bromwich Albion.
Similar between LVG and Tuchel, both playing high possession game but not clinical
fElLaAaNI
Funniest manager of all time!
Louis would have denied we were boring and even countered that by saying we gave the ball away ⚽ 😒
1:40
He even called Sam Allardyce Big Sam! Shows how famous and popular the Premier League is.
what about to two 7ft strikers when you're chasing the game
Yh cause he's meant to play that tippy tippy football nonsense all the time when he only has 2 weeks with his national team
Watching this in 2023 and pmsl at how wild and hilarious all of this was 😂😂😂

He reminds me of that kid who does okay in school and when someone says he has failed he reacts like soda in a bottle.
The football was boring. It is good that he was sacked. Only possession and no shot on target.
@@058hasjblok not sure about winning the PL part but fair point.. would've been better than that season..
And here we are: United losing possession over and over.
