*Tractor Fire* Aberbargoed Water Carrier Turnout (Mercedes Atego) - South Wales Fire and Rescue

RETAINED and Wholetime Aberbargoed P1 & W7 Turning out to a Tractor Fire!
RETAINED was paged to crew the 2nd appliance however the drivers status changed as the call came in.
Tractor caught fire whilst (i think) windrowing Dry grass, this resulted in the dry gras to also ignite....with a slight breeze the fire was able to spread into 2 neighboring fields along with igniting some trees and fence posts.
Two Pumps & Bowser attended the job (with no crew to crew the 2nd Aberbargoed appliance and Land Rover / Polaris)
Most of the Fire was Extinguished using hose reels then the rest being stamped out.
This being the last Filmed Turnouts of the wholetime Mercedes P1 due to it being replaced by the new 22 Plate Scania. Bit of a shame of no noise turning out but oh well.
