I often come back to this video, even now, and just let it play when I'm stressed. It's my perfect anti-anxiety treatment. Even helps my niece and nephews fall asleep at night when I'm watching them. This video is like a little all-in-one when it comes to making things calm. You really hit it out of the park here and I just wanted to let you know, even if you probably aren't gonna see this comment by now.
Thank you for one of the nicest compliments I think I've ever gotten. Just knowing that this video could have a positive impact on someone's life in this way makes the time that I put into creating it all worth while. Thank you very much!
@@lawofthewestgaming Your videos have this effect on me too. Your calm presentation & voice, the softer visuals, the quiet and smooth music - I always watch your ship tours over anyone else's if they're available for these reasons. The only person who comes close in my opinion is Farrister.
This review is second to none. Thank you very much. Yes, the 4K and wide screen are terrific. Being a Nubie, I look forward to watching more of your videos. Now if only I had the real or game money to buy this ship…
Wait for it Morty. They LOVE the slow ramp.
So true! Mechanical things move slowly IRL for a good reason.
That‘s the one thing i absolutely hate about the misc reliant, toggle vtol mode and it just friggin yeets the wings around 90 degrees like there‘s no tomorrow. Mass 1 x momentum 1 equals mass 2 x momentum 2? Nu-uh, not in this one. Should‘ve used this Newton-less rotation mechanism to build helicopters, wouldn‘t have needed tail rotors smh
That’s the first thing I thought of after I got a carrack and opened it for the first time lmao
God the carrack needs a personnel elevator, I hate opening the cargo ramp just for myself
I love it. Awesome. The letterbox format is real full screen for me in my UWHD monitor ar 2560x1080 👍
It looks much better. Whish more people start using this format
Me too, it's nice to get to use my full screen :)
Agreed. Watching on my primary UWHD this format is super slick thanks!
For me too ^__^
Nope, i dont like it, why the hell we going wider and wider... :(
LawoftheWest and Morphologist are amazing. Both put out gorgeous chilled Ultrawide ship content. Seriously, I don't think I've seen better videos, between the picture quality, editing and narration
The content they cover is similar but different in just the right way too.
Morphologist looking at these aesthetically, shile LotW looks at them from a gameplay and mechanical stand point which is just great. Any shio they both cover you have pretty much all the info you need.
This is the best Carrack walk true video there is. Well done!
I agree and i must have watched about a dozen
It's walk *through*
@@michaelkeaton5394 thanks for notification on a one year old spell wreck. Much appreciated
when CIG said "This is a scout bay"
the citizens asks "will it fit my Gladius?"
I'm just taking a moment to appreciate the IMMENSE work you put into this video. I'm a total newbie, but can see what you did here! Hours and hours of work. Brilliant.
Love the 2160p60 format. Fills entire screen on my 34" LG curved widescreen, so much the better for showing people how beautiful Star Citizen is.
The only downside is Google/You Tube and their dang codecs. It's fine watching it on home PC, but don't try to watch 2160p on your smart TV or Apple device. The best you can get is only 1080. So while I have a 4K Samsung TV, the only way I can watch in 2160p is if I'm sending the signal fm my home PC directly to the TV via HMDI cable. Doesn't work using my PS4 to TV either since PS4 is a Sony product. So even though connected via HMDI cable, the PS4 can only send a 1080 signal to my TV.
@@glcanon pretty sure ps4s hdmi ports aren’t 4k compatible the slim and the pro are tho
Easily the best Star Citizen content out there.
Keep up the great work LAW!
I own a Carrack (well actually two, for now), I've been in the Carrack, I've watched many video walkthroughs of the Carrack. I planned to watch youtube videos in the background while I have another game over it. Yet still when this video came on I had to stop what I was doing and just pay attention because the Carrack is so beautiful and you have such a pleasing, relaxing, and thorough way of presenting it, and the more beautiful something is, the more it shines after being thoroughly examined. Oh my, that sounded sexy lol. Anyways, keep up the good work, I always love your videos.
7:05 I had a thought for the detachable cargo pods: you could turn them into passenger quarters - it looked like there would be enough room for up to 4 apartments in each pod (2 rooms port and starboard), with one apartment space used for passenger amenities instead. Maybe the top floor of the middle pod featuring a lounge/dining space that could be catered or uncatered, depending if you're willing to sacrifice another apartment.
Best walkthrough video. You have a nice pace that allows us to take in every important detail without you zooming in and spending 5 minutes discussing wall material. Good job
But man, I want a good look at that wall material
I really appreciate the style of this ship tour. It must have taken a few attempts to get it in one take but well worth it IMO most other ship tours I've see put in a dozen micro cuts where they may be in the same room but they are looking in a different direction so it's easy to lose your sense of direction as the viewer. So I appreciate that you're slowly making your way through the ship without waving your mouse around and putting in small cuts that change the camera angle. have a thumbs up and a new subscriber.
By far my favorite Carrack walkthru video!
I love that you can get two kreugers in the bay.
I feel like if the toilets and showers weren't separated they could have fit another 2-3 beds... Considering there's 5-6 stations on the bridge, 3 turrets, drone controllers a scout bay, and a medical room. I thought there would be room for a 12- 15 person crew when fully staffed accounting for some mechanics and onboard soldiers... Kind of wish there were more bunks. maybe one in the medical room for an on board doctor?
Love this video. I appreciate the attention to detail, and that you notice the little Alien and Star Wars types of elements that some of us have also discovered. Nice work. All of these tour videos are really wonderful. My favorite part? That you're the opposite of obnoxious. You actually sort of remind me of Holden from The Expanse.
Hey, this is the best ship review I've seen by far. Great job.
Love, love, LOVE the format!!
Letterbox looks stunning chief. Much Love & Thanks for the added efforts, keep it up!
You definitely have that travelogue/ tour guide delivery down. Thanks for a great video!
If this baby had stealth capability it would basically be the Star Citizen version of the SSV Normandy.
There are so many design cues that evoke the Normandy, Serenity, Nostromo, Falcon, even the Rocinante. It looks like the perfect sci-fi hero ship.
This game should just do collab and get the real damn thing. It would be the dream...Especially when the ships arent too big and within SC compatibility.
I was waiting for this. LOL, I'm gonna watch it again... Thanks!
Love the ultrawide format! Keep it up!
this game looks so insanely amazing * ^^ * love it
Super late to the video but it's still spot on. I just got mine during this year's (2022) IAE. I upgraded from my C2. I have been having a blast flying it. What shocked me was the power of its engines and its speed. The only two sticking points I have with it is first, what you mentioned about that main lift not being an alternate way to the ground. It would be nice not having to make the ship unnecessarily vulnerable to hijackers every time you do a cargo run. And second, there is a flaw in the design of my favorite area of the ship that basically exposes several habitable areas of the ship to vacuum under the right circumstances. And that's the hangar bay. It could be fixed by adding some logic to the doors to automatically close and lock if the hangar bay is open and there is no atmosphere detected. Also, the problem could be further mitigated by adding a control panel inside the bay to operate the hangar doors. The docking collar access has the same issue, as the interior door will not close if you open the external one. Thanks again for the great video.
An actual engine room. That sent this ship right to the top of my interest list.
I love the ship but I do think that in any starship space would always be extremely valuable, and it kind of defies understanding to have SO MUCH open hallway space and cavernous bridge without so much as weapon and armor racks, a coffee/drink/refreshment station, a small table/desk, or a head that's just convenient for the bridge crew.
And in the weapons locker/turret area, there is plenty of room to have a practice range on one side with a couple-few ready weapon racks and then a higher security storage area for armor, heavier or less replaceable weapons on the other side. That side accesses the turret instead of having a symmetrical arrangement. The turret room could have an access door into the range side that is only used during emergencies to prevent accidents.
I agree. Why even have angled hallways when they could be flat, and that area covered can run wires and lines making for more space everywhere. Most ship should be as tight as a 100i until you get to where you need to be on the ship
Thx for the vid, I haven't been able to log on to see my carrack. I happy to see that it wasn't a big waste lol.
I didn't appreciate just how big that ship really was until you did the scout bay portion with all of the started ships.
I love this video and the 4K presentation. It's well put together and shows what star citizen universe looks like. Spectacular!
This format is amazing, stunning
Side note, please keep this up. These are much better to watch on my native 3440x1440
i do love the letterbox format, and love your insights
Love the format!!! Keep it up bro!
You’re a saint to have the patience to drive a NOX, much less 8 of them … that thing has killed me more often than the elevator on the Carrack.
LOVE this video rez - looks amazing on my ultrawide. Love the video too! Keep it up - more vids this rez please!
Letterbox is dope, i'm crying in 1080p here at the beauty
lol, speaking of taco night...great video brother, nice commentary, love the format and aspect ratio!
This excellent video may have made the difference in my decision to purchase the Carrack. I wasn't aware of the drone or repair bays as they are not discussed anywhere else.
Yes, love the letter box. Keep up the good work.
I like to voice and tone you have in the video its very ambient but still clear. I really like the Carrack and soon I can affort one in game 😃
Love the format. It looks ssssoooo good on my Samsung S20 Ultra. Fills up the whole screen.
love the widescreen view
Loving the quality already def love more videos like this
The format is beautiful!
4k all the way! man I love this ship...so glad i picked one up! feeds all of my space movie nostalgia.
I love the letter box size and high resolution. It looks great at 1440p 60fps on my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra
This video reminds me of something... I think the books and magazines encountered in the verse should be collectable items you can pick up, read, and store in your inventory.
The book and other items on the galley table, a player ought to have the ability to "clear the table" so to speak.
Great touring video and I love the ship! Support has always been my thing and I would love to ferry a team around with this. Plus since I'm working at surgery it would be great to act as the ships doctor as well 😎😅
It's the simple outros for me.. liked and subscribed!
I didn't like the Carrack before but now I shall have to get one eventually.
Love the letterbox! Keep it going! Cinematic RUclips Content!
Pls make more videos in this format :D
Awesome work!
Thanks! Will do!
I like how you have more personality in this video than most. It might be because the ship is so large, and you edited it a lot differently. But keep them coming, cause you get at least 20-30 veiws per video from me. ;-)
Love the way you do it!Great Job
06:07 .... nice tipp thx ^^ 06:16
I honestly would just wish for some kind of modifiability for the Carrack. For example, exchanging the the top exploration room for a small barracks, extending the bunkbed section into the rest-area, removing the hexagonal pool table. Most of all making use of all that unused space throughout the ship. And, I would wish for a version in which you could dock two Arrows at the lower section at it, removing cargo haul. Some kind of Sector-control ship, maybe. (Not all of these modifications at the same time, just modability. This ship is awesome as it is, but with that design it doesn't need to be an exploration vessel.)
the artists and designers really did an amazing job
Yes, do more of these. Thanks. You've just gained a subscriber 👍🏽
Video quality looks awesome! Great video!
Thumbnail got me thinking that the TIE fighter came up to Serenity singing "Baby Got Back".
Big ole carrack goodness right here
I actually got to fly one of these because someone left it just floating in space right outside Area 18. Cool ship.
Can't wait when get a video like this of the Misc Endeavor whenever that happens 🤣
2.5 hours 😭😂
Definitely love the 21:9 format, especially since I have a 21:9 monitor.
Imagine our civilisation building these kind of ships , that would be a blast . Never played this game but honestly if I ever did , this ship would be what i would fly .
holy moly... so with all stations maned, and pilots for scout(s) and dronnes, u will need 12 or more ppl to make full use sof this ship... OO gawd dayum!!! im in love!!! (counting again at the end, id even say 15 ppl, and thats without any marines >_< absolutely amazing ^^)
Looks Great on my 55”
My issue is with the armory and where it is located, if you get boarded from either entry, garage, hangar, or even in a sense the docking collar, Boarders will probably be able to get to your armory faster than you and crew can if dont pre-emptivly go suit up. If they're stealthy , then odds are in their favor. When there is room in main bridge decks for at least some weaponry attatchments.
As a watched this and counted things, it seams like it's supposed to be run by a 6man crew.
there is 6 armor lockers, 6 EVA lockers, 6 escape pods, 6 dining hall chair, 6 beds and 6 seats around the bridge.
I guess that makes standard crews when it was still a serving military vessel a bit of a jack of all trades where each crewman would have to perform multiple roles aboard the ship and also on foot.
I guess it makes sense for a long-range exploration vessel to have a skeleton crew.. I'm just thinking it really is a bit on the lower end (since you probably wanted a experienced doctor, engineer, pilot and people of various geologic/fauna/flora fields when exploring the unknown and then adding leadership roles, co-piloting, and all ship logistics/maintanence and security/combat training) to and the qualifications needed to get signed up must have been sky high.
....and if the ramp or button jams/breaks they're all stranded and can't get back in... perhaps in the future they can add an extendable ladder at the docking port or some kind of entrance in that unused area with the back elevator/turret.
I agree that the response time of the ramp need to be quicker, but I think the actual opening and closing time of it is good. It is a huge door and would move pretty slow in real life. Not to mention it is kind of a trade off for having such a large ship/cargo bay. However, I also believe there should be another smaller door for the individuals to embark and disembark.
This ultra wide video is great. I also have such a screen :D
#LawoftheWest More videos in this format please. Its beautiful.
i am late to this but the way you do tours i love it
CARRACK : the best ship in Star Citizen!
Love the letterbox. Using 3840x2160. Good review.
I love this aspect ratio
Crazy seeing Delamar again.
one of your best work keep it coming
Appreciate that
This is an absolutely beautiful video. Love it
Nice video!
I don't like how inefficient the ship is, "captain's quarters" could be replaced with another crews quarter to at least double the crew size and cover every station.
Lots of useless corridor space, the double corridor in the scout bay in particular really limits its space! the Terrapin sounds like a really good complement as a scout ship, yet it just barely doesn't fit.
It could improve a lot.
Great vid, and looked incredible.
It reminds me of Jabba's party barge.
I'm a bit late, but I love the 4k letterbox bro.... I may just have to do the letterbox, myself. Very nice!
This video is great, also. I am looking for a ship to carry my Ballista, this just told me all that I need to know about the Carrack lol 👍
omg if we could put Ballistas into the Cargo things then jettison them like paradrops, I would die of drooling
I like the slow ramp, makes the ship feel heavier.
If they fixed the main elevator to go to the ground, stocked the fridges in the crew area and med area, and gave it some pilot controlled weapons, I would be so happy.
Thanks Really like it. Just thinking about buying this game. Im not into all the pew pew, but really hope the exploration aspect of this game is extensive.
This format for the win!!!
Much as I like the ship, as with many of the larger ships it feels like it needs some refinement. The armory is an especially glaring flaw, I feel like you could half it in size without losing much of anything. Maybe even move the armory into the adjacent turret room and add an entire extra cargo pod or pull the belly back to give it a sleeker look.
It will eventually get refined via the gold standard. As for its bulky size vs a sleeker look. It just comes with the territory of modularity to the extent that the Carrack will have. Sure, you could probably cut down in some places but at this point it looks and makes more sense for it to be bulkier than sleek. This is my biased opinion though...I've had plenty of time to get used to it's size and now there's nothing but love for this ship when it comes to my view.
sorry to go against the grain, I first though something went wrong with my video player. I am often watching on my phone or in a small window while clicking other stuff and the wide format makes the real size of the video I watch smaller.
Still a good video with great cutting and everything!
I guess i’m a little late to the party, but the picture quality is phenomenal!
my monitor approves of this. thank you
Damn good video. Your best yet maybe.
I love this video. Good content friend!
Going from a Prowler to this tonight i like pewpew but i like to transport cargo and mine and stuff. I just hope I dont regret it
Love the format!
Carrack is amazing but only being able to enter via the ramp is very short sighted.
Yes! Please keep this up. o7
The carrack reminds me of the ship from Prometheus.
I see you liked the orrery scene in Prometheus. 😀 (comments on holo in cartography room.)
