Yeah there is. Open it up and unplug the magnetic switch from the logic board. That's what I did with both the Powerbook G4 and the MacBook Pro that I had, worked nicely :)

Nah he is just shielding the magnet inside so it does'nt see the lid closed, but yeah just changing the setting is easier.

Theirs magnets in all the macbooks i have a windows and a mac and only the mac has magnets and it sticks to my teachers door.

Doesn't work on these iBooks. It shuts down after 5 minutes with the lid closed and InsomniaX on.
