WTF !! I'm just utterly blown away by the way u played that bit of little wing... perfect !
Excellent way to demo an amp! No talking just playing different styles.. you win sir. 10+ Score for perfecting the demo method.
finally: a good reviewer thats not in a native language. thanks man. keep it rocking amd keep it selling
The best demo of this amp I've heard
Really versatile demo of this amp (and amps in general!). Beautiful playing! Thanks for showing the close ups of levels you had as well during each song. Really appreciate talking about the options on the back as well as this is unique in this combo amp (as well as the ability to switch from 5w to 15w). Subbed!
That tapping riff you had around the 8 minute mark was unreal man. Awesome demo.
There's some seriously good demo vids of the TSA 15, I think it's because it's a nice sounding amp with no fizzy distortion like a lot in this price range.
Great review, the Stairway stone face was priceless.
Damn fine playing dude! Just grabbed a TSA15H but probably won’t get mine sounding half as good as you! Keep up the good work! 🤘🤘
I’m gonna steal some of your riffs, just thought I’d be up front about it - diggin the jam! Just ordered one of these in a head version.
Hahaha.....have fun with it!
Cat hardly looks up at all and 2 beats into "Stairway" you get the Guitar Center "Denied" look. Great review & great playing. Thanks.
Great review! Your guitar playing is fantastic.
Thank you! Glad the video helped
Awesome review! And very nice playing too!
Hey thanks! Great demo of that awesome amp
I love the jaded face of this guy when he plays Stairway! :D
0:06 The moment I subscribed to this channel
Great playing man! Great tone!
NO STAIRWAY!😂
Finally a great review of this amp! What do you think of it? Best buy at that price? (for someone looking for a Fenderish sound)
I bought this as a budget fenderish amp. I never ever had any bad sounds out if this. And the clean on the 15 watts is amazing. I have the head version goin ghrough a 2x12 vintage cab.
I got it a couple of years ago and I'm still in love. Clean tones are superb but I wouldn't say they are strictly fenderish. They have some more body and midrange, keeping all the clarity at the same time...something between Fender and Marshall to my ears.
Your playing is great my dude!
fantastic review, thumbs up. And great playing too.
So you played the forbidden riff. Nice amp! I'm choosing between this and Vox AC10C1. But I prefer 12" speaker. But the Vox has reverb, so it's a hard choice.
Insane skills. I've got to check out Music Bliss very soon!
This amp fx loop were not usual in it's implementation
It were input>ts>fxloop>eq
I've putted blackstar ht dist and have the ts engaged
Sounded great I supposed rather then having the distortion put up front
Excellent review! I like your review method--and great playing. I agree, however, that it would have been helpful to ramp up the volume to show how the amp responds. Cheers.
Good review, my friend. Nice playing also.. Thank you.
I own this amp (with Celestion Creamback speaker) for a while and I strongly recommend to switch tubes! After the change of preamp tubes (for JJ ECC83S/12AX7) and power tubes (for paired JJ 6V6S), I have to say, big WOW! :) Really, I would never expect such a big tone difference! I always fought I have very good sounding amp, but now, I have a killing machine! :) Significant sound change, lot s of muddiness and dirt disappeared, now it has a strong low end and clear highs, with less mids, 100% top class "fender" sounding amp. Super super clean. Somebody could miss mid frequencies and dirt, but I much prefer adding gain (by pedals) instead of removing it (which could be mission impossible :) )
Thanks for updating your advice on this as I have this combo amp still from a few years ago hardly ever used but want to get back into playing... stupid question but I've never modified amps before are tubes easily changed or does it need to be 100% done by a professional?
@@carolinehaf21 I have this amplifier also (6yrs). I have swapped out the stock tubes and put in Genalex Gold Lion ECC83/B759 & TUNG SOL 6V6GT matched sets from The Tube Store. They were very helpful and informative. Then I biased the amp. Very simple with help from RUclips. Then I swapped out the stock speaker and put in a Eminence GA-SC64. It was all very simple and easy. Super sounding amp, it opens up as it gets broken in. I like chasing TONE, I know it is a rabbit hole, but I have fun doing it. 🤘
Checking in. Either you figured out how to change the tubes or you are no longer with us. lol.
Play that funky music..... Good job man.
You play great brotha i want to be that good at chord playing like you and embellishments amazing brotha!! Forgot bout the amp demo I’m considering one of these but I’m still playing in my room and my Roland micro cube isn’t half bad cept the Fx knob broke so I can’t use chorus trem phase or flange which is bummer but it is super loud for bedroom just doesn’t quite have the tube sound even on the Marshall stack setting.. do you make teaching videos you played so many greats in this video
If you think the Micro Cube is loud, you'll be shocked how loud tube amps get (even at 5 watt).
This amp is still pretty loud if you're looking for bedroom volume. You could consider the Boss Katana 50. It is switchable to 0.5 watts for bedroom volume, but at the same times allows you to kick it up to 50 watts when jamming or playing live. With 58 built in Boss effects and a 12 inch speaker, you're getting bang for your buck with these specs.
Great video. I wish the amp had reverb
We all know you had a mirror at the beginning of the video for you to see where the chords were. Sorry, just kidding! Great video, thanks. :)
Stellar guitar playing. One strange question I have though. Does this amp work for an acoustic guitar if put on a clean setting? Anyone know?
It will definitely work, but it wont sound right....it will definitely take away the acoustic sound.....
Fun playing!
You played the forbidden riff...XD
Thank you, sir
Very very good!
Nice review!
I think they editted the audio, because I have this amp and the base noise is a bit stronger than this recording. Though is a great piece of gear
We dont do any post processing besides making it louder. We dont need to fake it to make things sound good
@@MusicBlissMalaysiaTV maybe mine has a noiser ground... Of course, not having anything plugged. Anyway, is a great amplifier, I've have it for 5 years and suits me perfect.
The amp sounds nice. I just really enjoyed the playing
Thanks for the comment!
Is it too loud on the 5W setting for home use?
It's ok for home use....however the low end will sound better if you can crank it a little
No the 5 w on 4 is perfect for bedroom..15w on 4 t then turn the volume down a touch on the guitar.
Full volume on 5w is a room filling.and window shaking. 15w is vbrates the walls and doors. You can stage with 15w. Truth.
Also mine has OOTSWITCH' on the back lol.
Thanks for the reply, I ended up picking up a VOX AC4 with the 12" speaker. Keep Jam'n!
If only all the demo makers could just play music like that
Intercom @ GUITAR CENTER: Whomever is playing STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN< the security team will escort your ass out now..Thank you for your patronage...................
4:40 :O Play that to me and im all yours :D Love the review, keep it up!!
Our time is ruuuuuning ouuuuut...
but where is the beard stroke?
Haha...!!
You've been following our videos it seems...=P
Hey I recently got this amp. My boss OD3 pedal works well but Fulltone OCD pedal sounds horrible on this amp. Any idea why this is happening? The drive just sounds bad. As if it's not compatible with the amp.
What can I do?
I feel that Tubescreamers, Klons, OCDs and some coloured boost pedals (such as the Micro Amp or EP Booster) are meant to be pushing/driving an already driven amp. Now most the of these stack-able drive pedals will also work well with each other, but I find the OCD can be a bit finicky (In this case you're pretty much running a TS & an OCD together). It just down right might not work with all setups.
If you have other setups, you can try running the pedal with different amps, etc. I personally love the OCD when it's driving a gain-y amp. It definitely does not favour a clean-clean amp. That being said if it still doesn't work for you, it's time to go shopping again =)
Music Bliss Malaysia I'm using the OCD on the amp's clean channel but it just doesn't sound right. I get your point but. Thanks a ton :)
@@Kaustubh3024 I use my Ibanez TSA15H with a Joyo Ultimate Drive, which is been said to be an OCD clone. For a long time I used the "high" mode of the pedal and, as you say, it sounded bad to my ears. I don´t know why, but I didn´t try to experiment with the "low" mode. When I finally did it I surprisingly found it sounded really good. Have you tried the "low" mode in your OCD?. In my opinión the low mode offers more mids tan the high mode, which sounded more scooped and thin to my ears. The TSA voicing is not as "middly" as, for example, a Marshall amp, so it works better with pedals like Tube Screamers or similar (rich in middle frequencies). The high mode in the Joyo - and I assume in the OCD - has a lack o mids, that can work fine with Marshall amps or similar, but not so fine with amps where the mids are not so present. Finally, when using the built-in Tube Screamer after the Ultimate Drive/OCD (allways low mode) you can get sweet fat and rounded tones. Well, that´s my experience with the Ibanez TSA15H and the Joyo Ultimate Drive, in case it helps.
@@antonioj4746 so I returned the TSA15 and got the TSA5 since it was easily portable. I'll try the Fulltone with the low mode, that didn't strike me.
Boss pedals work well this amp though fortunately
Antonio j I think I may be able to explain why that is so. The TSA15 has a “bright” cap (100pF) permanently wired in. Most Fender amps that I’ve tried with a bright switch don’t sound very good with an OCD (or similar drives) when the bright switch is on. Using the “low” OCD helps offset all those extra highs the bright cap adds in. Some people have just clipped out the cap; I’m using a switch in series with it, so it can be switched in and out. For some humbucker guitars, I like the bright on, but for single coils and using high gain pedals like the OCD, it sounds way better with the bright off. Edit: be aware that modifying anything will probably void the warranty, and unless one knows enough about electronics to mess about in a tube amp safely, the high voltage in there can cause severe damage or death to both person and amp.
does it have an effects loop??
Yes it does have an effects loop.....
@@MusicBlissMalaysiaTV you can call it that. But everything is BEFORE the preamp. A proper effects loop would be AFTER the pre-amp. The loop is essentially so you can run all of your drives and effects after the TS8 circuit in the head
First :)
