You hit the nail on the head with the opening experience and conclusion at the end. This was one of the sets I did a video calculating the EV. It looked attractive until you figure out the demand/liquidity of the cards.
1 - The cards were purely collector. They weren't really used player wise.
2 - If players weren't using it, that left collectors. There was a lack of a real chase card. You just have to open enough boxes or just buy the singles.
3 - This left the BDR which some were expensive. People saw the high prices and opened. Supply increased but demand was dead for the reasons above.
4 - Sealed boxes dropped to as low as $15 back then. Some sold recently for that. I believe there is a decent amount of supply out there.
5 - When Bushiroad announced this, they literally said it was for collectors. I don't think they really understood what collectors wanted back then.
This set is gorgeous though. Fun fact if you put the same BDR band cards together they form a scene. Luckily for us the following Premium Booster sets were better. This one was the first try.

Weiss card quality is truly impeccable. That's the first thing I noticed when I started with them.
These cards don't sell on tcg player like maybe 1 or 2 within the last year for each of the stamped ones

Bushi does this with Vanguard too in their premium boxes but the big chase card is 1 per box if i recall and you only need to buy 4 boxes to get a playset of every card that being 4x. So if youre a casual and you just need a playset, you can just buy 4 boxes and youre good to go, but if youre looking for any card to be in a higher rarity, you can buy more.

there is no chase as your guaranteed 1 gold stamped in each pack, hence the price of this premium set is crap. Too much pulled product, all easy too pull. There hasn't been any sales of this set for months.
